Solved

I have downloaded and installed the SPINFamily setup msi file. The User Manual UM2022 page A.3 describes programming the nucleo board with the firmware file guifw-STM32XXXXX-nucleo.binI have not been able to locate this file for the F401RE Nucleo board on my system and on the internet. Please could you send me a link so that i can download the file.

I want to use the M4 kernel to display some animations and images that can be rendered on the GPU？

hey there.for a while ive been tryin to copy some codes from flash to internal sram and run it.ive read the datasheet, programming manual and cortex manual and they all confirm that it is possible to run code from sram, however when i copy the codes i get aforced hardfault which with durther inspection i realized is a bus fault indeed. i tried it on both stm32f103 and stm32f407 and its not working on either. here is the assembly function im copying into the sram:myadd PROC        EXPORT myadd      [WEAK]        NOP NOP BX lr        ENDPand here is the function that copies and runs the copied code:void test(){ memcpy((void *)(SRAM_BASE + 0x100), &myadd, 200); Delay(500); //void (*func)() = (void (*)())((int32_t)(SRAM_BASE + 0x100) | 0x1); void (*func)() = (void (*)())((int32_t)(SRAM_BASE + 0x100) | 0x1); func();}during th

I am exploring iis3dwb sensor with stm32f401 nucleo board.i go through the data sheet but not find any information which mode this sensor supported?so i tried with these 2 setting , hspi3.Init.CLKPolarity = SPI_POLARITY_LOW; hspi3.Init.CLKPhase = SPI_PHASE_1EDGE; hspi3.Init.CLKPolarity = SPI_POLARITY_HIGH; hspi3.Init.CLKPhase = SPI_PHASE_2EDGE;in both  it fail to read who am i register at first attempt after reset and after that value is read correctly.why this is happen and which mode i should i use?here i attach files i am using as whole project is of 35mb.I found this driver file for this sensor on git hub is it ok to use this driver? as i not able to find other example code or driver for this sensor

Dear ST,When is the next release of CubeMX and CubeIDE coming?Based on a few sentences in this forum, you promised to release in the 27th or 28th week ...Thank You!

Im trying to write code that will average samples from the ADC of an STM32F01K6. I am starting a conversion and waiting while the conversion takes place by writing a while loop which checks the finish flag ADC1->CR |= ADC_CR_ADSTART; while(((ADC1->ISR) & 0b00000100)!=0) { } for(j=0;j<4;j++) { ADC_result_pre[i][j] = ADC1->DR; //fetch adc data } ADC_result[i]=(ADC_result_pre[i][0]+ADC_result_pre[i][1]+ADC_result_pre[i][2]+ADC_result_pre[i][3])/4;   switch(ADC1->CHSELR) //switch dac channel to the next { case 0b1: ADC1 ->CHSELR = 0b10; i=1; break;   case 0b10: ADC1 ->CHSELR = 0b1; i=0; break; }If i write code which doesn't wait for the EOC flag, the ADC works fine. However, with this code it gets stuck in the while loop, the EOC flag never appears. Where have I gone wrong?

Hi, im have:https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/steval-mki181v1.htmlI have connected after i2c in esp32. It works and sometimes disconnects it. Do you need to use any resistors?

I have downloaded a copy of the en.x-cube-spn5 but I am unsure how to add this to the STM32CUBEIDE to allow me to run the example programs. I would then like to develop new applications using a pair of X-NUCLEO-IHM05A1 boards and a Nucleo-F401RE board.

I'm new to touchGFX and I'm using Keil (v5.xx). I cant compile the touchGFX example for the 746G-Discovery due to missing files and I'm having the same kind of problems when I generate a project using the designer. When I try to compile the example (STM32Cube_FW_F7_V1.16.0\Projects\STM32746G-Discovery\Demonstrations\TouchGFX\MDK-ARM) I get the following errors:../Core/Src/main.cpp(20): error: #5: cannot open source input file "touchgfx/canvas_widget_renderer/CanvasWidgetRenderer.hpp": No such file or directory #include <touchgfx/canvas_widget_renderer/CanvasWidgetRenderer.hpp> ../Core/Src/main.cpp: 0 warnings, 1 error compiling Gauge.cpp... ../../../../../Middlewares/ST/TouchGFX/touchgfx/framework/include/touchgfx/canvas_widget_renderer/Scanline.hpp(19): error: #5: cannot open source input file "touchgfx/canvas_widget_renderer/CanvasWidgetRenderer.hpp": No such file or directory #include <touchgfx/canvas_widget_renderer/CanvasWidgetRenderer.hpp> ../Gui/gui/src/custom_contr

Hello,I think I found a possible error in the STMG4 reference manual RM0440 Rev 4, in Table 97 of section 14.3: in the IVT address column, the addresses from 0x0000_0198 to 0x0000_01A4 appear two times, instead of continuously increasing (entries 86 to 93). This is a problem as the last address of the IVT and it's size don't match. Could somebody please confirm that this is indeed an error in the RM?Thanks and have a nice day!

Checked PWR settings at startup.Find PWR->SR2 status value 0x00000300.According manual this tellsRegulator in Low Power mode (LPR)Flash memory in power downIs this initiated by Keil/ST-Link debugger?Or are there errors in reference manual of register PWR->SR2?

Hello. I have a custom made board with an L6390 used to drive two MOSFETs. My switching frequency is 100kHz. I noticed that at low duty cycles the bootstrap capacitor was not charging correctly. Per the datasheet, I discovered that due to the internal resistance of the driver there was not enough time for the capacitor to charge. I also noticed the part of the datasheet saying "if this drop is too high, or the circuit topology doesn’t allow a sufficient charging time, an external diode can be used".Due to the previous information, I added a 1N4148 diode in between pins 4 and 16. When I do this, the driver does not work (PWM is correctly getting to the input legs, SD is on, yet nothing gets out). If I cut this diode while operating nothing happens, but if I turn off and on the power while the diode is removed it resumes working. However, if, while working without the diode, I force the diode between the two pins (4 and 16), it does not stop working and the problems with the low duties d

Sorry this is a very simple question but somehow LED LD2 just won't work on STM32h745ZI-Q nucleo 144 boards. As per the manual "UM2408 STM32H7 Nucleo-144 boards", the LD2 is connected to PE1 (by the way, I tried PB7 as well as the older one may on this port). The same routine for other two LD1 (PB0) and LD3 (PB14) all works fine. I have checked the wiring which is also correct. I have two boards all the same. This is nearly a bare bone program just toggling the LED on and off. It just doesn't do the job. Any idea please?

I want to check if the preprocessing are correctly adding my function macros

I'm using FATfs library for implementing file system on external flash.Flash is 16MB memory where I can erase minimum of 4kb subsector and total no of subsectors are 4096, so there will be 1 sector per cluster. I've created 2 filesbut I see both files are assigned with same sector no i.e sector 10.So if I write 2nd file data written into first file gets erased.Do we've to assign sector nos manually? /* Create and Open a new text file object with write access */ if(f_open(&MyFile, "0:/0:/STM.TXT.TXT", FA_READ | FA_CREATE_ALWAYS | FA_WRITE) != FR_OK)//FA_CREATE_ALWAYS | FA_WRITE { /* 'STM32.TXT' file Open for write Error */ Error_Handler(); } else { /* Write data to the text file */ res = f_write(&MyFile, wtext, sizeof(wtext), (void *)&byteswritten);   if((byteswritten == 0) || (res != FR_OK)) { /* 'STM32.TXT' file Write or EOF Error */ Error_Handler(); } else { /* Close the open text file */ if(f_open(&MyFile2, "0:/RTM.TXT",

Trying out the new STM32CubeIDE. Mostly, I like it. There are some rough edges and dialogues that do not behave properly (at least on the Mac) but the thing I cannot make work is to add a 'Run' configuration to the toolbar.I want to just build the code and flash it without having to open the Debug Perspective. The preferences indicate that he options should be there but hey do not show in the toolbar.Any ideas?

I would like to know what is the correct way to disable a timer’s ARR preload function using the HAL library ? And once that’s done, does the ARPE bit stay low for the whole runtime, or does it have to be cleared again regularly or after specific events? (If yes, which?)

I want to test differential signal on STM32F407VG discovery board using boundary scan testing. I know that this soc supports boundary scan testing but is it possible to test/measure differential signal also via same way?

Good afternoon,I am currenly working with the ECompass feature, and I am facing some issues with the magnetometer compensation library : MotionMC.I followed the UM2192 user manual instructions to write my code but I am still getting empty/default values (actually 0 everywhere) when calling MotionMC_GetCalParams function.I had a lok to some other post : https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X00009XkWyASAVhttps://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X00009XkWf7SAFAccording to the second link, the function MotionMC_Update should run during atleast 5 seconds before calling MotionMC_GetCalParams.But I am not sure to understand, should I run MotionMC_Update for 5 seconds during my initialization step, or should I run MotionMC_Update for 5 seconds each time I want to call MotionMC_GetCalParams ?Moreover can someone explain why it is necessary (if it is really necessary)? Thanks,Have a nice day,Julien.

We have a custom board using the STM32MP157C chip and we are having a problem with the USB programming via the CubeMXProgrammer. Our system is working and we have a tf-a.stm32 binary image, a functional u-boot.st32 image and a working rootfs Linux system. We can boot from SDCard and from eMMC.I have read the flashlayout document which explains the TSV file format and created a layout file for programming the eMMC flash however we are running in to issues actually programming the device via USB.Here is our TSV file  #Opt Id Name Type IP Offset Binary  - 0x01 fsbl1-boot Binary none 0x0 tf-a-stm32mp157c.stm32  - 0x03 ssbl-boot Binary none 0x0 u-boot.stm32  PD 0x02 fsbl1 Binary mmc1 boot1 tf-a-stm32mp157c.stm32  PD 0x04 fsbl2 Binary mmc1 boot2 tf-a-stm32mp157c.stm32  PD 0x05 ssbl Binary mmc1 0x00100000 u-boot.stm32  PD 0x10 rootfs System mmc1 0x00300000 rootfs.ext2The TSV file is parsed correctly by STM32_Programmer

The STM32L5x2.svd file has a zero width register field in the TAMP peripheral, register ATCR1, field TAMP2AM. This killed the header gen tool I use./cygdrive/c/ST/STM32CubeIDE_1.0.1/STM32CubeIDE/plugins/com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.productdb.debug_1.1.0.201910081157/resources/cmsis/STMicroelectronics_CMSIS_SVD/STM32L5x2.svd:15235      <field>       <name>TAMP2AM</name>       <description>TAMP2AM</description>       <bitOffset>1</bitOffset>       <bitWidth>0</bitWidth>      </field>

I have to design it for stm8afxx mcu

Hello, could you please clarify one topic for me. I am working with lsm6dsox sensor. How can I create a header (.h) file instead a .ucf to easily include in a project?I read that it is possible using Unico, but i didn't find this option in it. (Unico 9.3.0.0 is used)best regards

Hi everyone,First, my program was running good since many weeks and last week I added some code and from this day, each run of my program, i'm falling in hardfault handler... all the time in "HAL_SPI_Transmit".First thing i've done is to increase (some times very big size) the heap & stack size, unfortunately it doesn't work.. I still fall in hardfault at the same location in my program. My code is using the ST routine "HAL_SPI_Transmit" many times but it always run down at the same location in this ST routine.. (picture 1 & 2) (btw each times the routine is used to access a flash memory 1 Mbit SPI Serial Flash SST25VF010A).So, I've investigate on the issue and I found that was a "bus fault" "PRECISERR" and "FORCED" (picture 3, 4 & 5).I do some research on internet to find out the response to my issue and in found some one talking about error in SPI ST files so i tried to copy the new files (they were different than mine) but it doesn't work..Picture 1 :Picture 2 :Picture 3
