Hello, I think it is a basic question but I can't find a solution.I read 4 variables, 2 fan RPM and 2 temperatures.I route the two RPM to a gauge, and I would like the temperature to a char (only the temperature). Because the scale is very different.Gauge is working, I can filter.I don't know what to insert between "processing" and "chart" to remove the RPM variables to the chart:Thank you,Pierre

I would like to write Proprietary data with the CR95HF to a NFC Type 2A TAG. To do so I use the "NFC Type 2A - NDEF Message user interface".This is what i type in to the text field:dc00030106123456What I am expecting is, that the NDEF message is of type External with an ID = 0x06 of length 1 and 3 data bytes (0x12, 0x34, 0x56)What I get is a NDEF Message with type External (OK) and 3 data bytes 0x12, 0x00, 0x00. It seems that only one data byte is written and the other two bytes are not written.I tried also a NDEF message with 6 instead of 3 data bytes. dc00060106123456ABCDEFThis worked as expected. But why not with 3 databytes? May be I have missed something and this is not allowed?

I have been trying to get the stm32wb nucleo working with the st7789 lcd but have only observed strange behavior. I have successfully gotten it to work with the stm32f103c8t6 using the code found here. When CPOL=0 on the stm32f103 the screen does not work but on the stm32wb when CPOL=0 the screen will initiate and commands can be sent to it successfully. However when I try to send a frame nothing happens. I have also checked that the DC pin is working as it should. I am confused by the strange behavior observed when CPOL=0, other than that, this is the only thing I have observed when using the stm32wb.This is the only code changed between the two projects:Original GPIOInit code (stm32f103):void st7789_GPIOInit(void) { // Enable GPIOA and SPI1 clock RCC->APB2ENR |= RCC_APB2ENR_IOPAEN | RCC_APB2ENR_SPI1EN; // Enable DMA1 channel //RCC->AHBENR |= RCC_AHBENR_DMA1EN;   // Enable SPI ST7789_SPI->SR = 0; // Reverse polarity? ST7789_SPI->CR1 = \ SPI_CR1_SSM | \ SPI

I'm trying to get a very simple example working with the DAC on the STM32L475VG in the B-L475E-IOT01A development board. I've generated the code below with STM32CubeMX for use in STM32CubeIDE. I can see the DAC register values changing, and LD1 blinks, but can't pick up a signal on any of the output pins A3-A5 (for the OPAMP amplified signal, or either DAC channels).I imagine I've overlooked some configuration detail, but I can't figure out what! Any insight would be greatly appreciated.Cheers,Brett/* Includes ------------------------------------------------------------------*/ #include "main.h"   /* Private includes ----------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN Includes */   /* USER CODE END Includes */   /* Private typedef -----------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN PTD */   /* USER CODE END PTD */   /* Private define ------------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER C

Hi, I want to do some AES128 evaluation, I need a discovery board, no need other function,What is the recommend(simple and cheap) discovery board? Thanks a lot.Ken

I'm trying to connect to my DK2 from STM32CubeIDE but the ST LInk port doesn't seem to work. In Device Manager I see "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)". I tried several cables and ports on my PC.I should mention that I'm running a minimal Ubuntu but used the kernel from the ST build process, I just swapped out the rootfs with the Ubuntu version. When I switch back to the stock SD card image the port shows up as VID/PID 0x1D6B/0x0104 but I can't install any drivers for it.How does whatever I program into the SD card affect how the ST Link USB port shows up?Thanks,ANdrew

Hello community,i urgently need analysis of a mosfet from st semiconductors with the cause of the damage. Can someone tell me whether an analysis and assessment of the damage as well as a possible cause for it can be carried out at ST in-house in Germany or at least in Europe? Or does the component have to be shipped to Far Asia?

Hi,I'm beggining with MCSDK.I load the example "EvalG474E_3Shunt_IHM23v3_HAL.stmcx" and the dialog box "Analog Input and Protection" configure the Sampling Time to 6.5 ADC clk resulting in 96nS. So the ADC clock is supose to be 6.5/96nS = 67.7MHZ. But the generated code shows ADC selected from PLLP with 42.5MHZ and with Async clock/4, so ADC clk = 42.5/4 = 10.625MHZ. And the generated code is imcomplete, there's nothing in the main loop, no interrupts, etc.Is there a complete motor control example for any G4 any driver that works? That I just need to compile and program into the flash.

Hi guys,I'm using STM32F767 nucleo with STM32Cubeide. I've configured an ADC to operate with DMA at a sample rate of 1.8Msps. I've calculated this sample speed by:HCLK = 216MHzPCLK2 = 108MHzPrescaler of 4 : ADCCLK = 27MHzResolution (12bits + 3)Therefore sample rate = 27Mhz / 15 = 1.8MspsThe ADC is hardware triggered by TIM2 to sample 50 samples using DMA and I am toggling a GPIO pin when the 50 samples are collected by using HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback().My issue: it takes 56us for the timer to trigger the ADC to start, toggle the respective GPIO, get the 50 samples and then toggle the GPIO again. While I expect some latency due to using the HAL and toggling pins, I'm expecting somewhere in the region of a handful of microseconds. At this speed I'm experiencing 50 samples/56us = 893Ksps about half the expected speed. Reducing the resolution to 10 bits while it made some difference, it wasn't as large a difference as it should have been. So something is wrong.code:int main(void) { HAL_Ini

Hi,my name is Vincenzo.Trying to make some simple applications with ToF VL53L3CX the following doubt arose:Can several ToFs, close to each other, work at the same time without the risk of the measurements being disturbed? In other words, if different ToF VL53L3CX, set in the same way, start the measurement at the same time, is it possible that the laser generated by a ToF is received by the collector of a different ToF?Thanks in advance for your support

Greetings everyoneThere is a wiki article (closed to the public) about enabling Jailhouse on STM32MP1x that lead me to believe that the STM32MP15x 's Dual Cortex-A7 cores implement the Virtualization Extensions. To my understanding, the reference manuals do not state anything about its implementation, apart from its support reported in the GIC and Debug sections.I need some clarity about this matter: Does anybody know if the Virtualization Extensions are implemented on the STM32MP15x's cores but not (yet?) documented in the ST reference manuals?Link to the referenced article: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_enable_Jailhouse

Hi everyone, i am trying to run Distribution package from the STM on UBUNTU. It works fine with normal source command and make a build directory just by the folder of 'layers'. but how can i add my own build directory e.g. /mybuild/build_folder? I have tried the BUILD_DIR="dir" but it doesnt work and gives an error of ..[source layers/openembedded-core/oe-init-build-env][from nothing]Error: TEMPLATECONF value points to nonexistent directory '../../../layers/meta-st/meta-st-openstlinux/conf/template'

We developed a new board with STM32G071cbu MCU which we already successfully used in our previous project. In this project we desided to use buttons with internal MCU pull up. Buttons connection is actually very simple:So in this configuration with pull-up, all digital inputs (PA0-1 and PD0-1) should read 1 with buttons not pressed. But it is not the case! In this question, I will write the minimum code that will lead to the problem condition (i hope that someone can compile it and check if it is the case on other boards with g071 MCUs)Code:#include "stm32g071xx.h"   int main(void) {   RCC->IOPENR |= RCC_IOPENR_GPIOAEN | RCC_IOPENR_GPIODEN;     GPIOA->MODER &= ~0x0F; // Set PA0 and PA1 as inputs GPIOA->PUPDR |= 0x05;   GPIOD->MODER &= ~0x0F; // Set PD0 and PD1 as inputs GPIOD->PUPDR |= 0x05;   while(1) {   } }Problem:After downloading this code to device PA0 and PA1 are working as intended: they are high by defaul

Hello I am new in the field of Tof sensors I would like to know how you proceed to carry out your calibrations? are there any software manipulations to perform? I read in a conversation in which you spoke about function and variable Xtalk .. If so, please tell me which files to modify .. Thank you

Hello,I have developed an application which can dynamically detect source capabilities by reading the capabilities soon after a PD charger is plugged in. In order to renegotiate with the new PDO, I currently must issue a reset by writing to the RESET_CTRL register. Unfortunately, this approach causes VBUS to be lost momentarily, an undesirable side-effect.From browsing ST's example application source code, I noticed the use of "PdMessage_SoftReset", a way to soft reset the PD negotiation using the PD protocol. Seems simple enough: write the soft reset message 0x0D to the TX_header register at address 0x51, then write the send PD message command 0x26 to the address 0x1A.Unfortunately, I've had absolutely zero luck with this approach. I have tried with multiple different PD compliant chargers, neither of them renegotiate after issuing the soft reset message. I have also tried two separate STUSB4500 chips. I have tried writing the soft reset message as a single byte 0x0D, as well as writi

Hello,We are switching from RS232 to RS485 and are encountering problems. Everything worked properly with RS232After initializing the USART (we are using Cube), transmitting is working fine.Reception is handled by interrupt. After calling HAL_UART_Receive_IT, callback is instantly called even if nothing is connected to the transceiver and no signal is observed on RX (with the scope). After that, the UART is in error (error callback is also called, sometime its frame error, sometime overruns) and its impossible to receive characters from uart or transmit.I observed signals with the scope: when transmitting, DE and TX are perfect (before activating the interrupt on rx) and I receive the data on my computer. When I transmit from the computer, I also see the correct RX.I don't understand why the rx transfer complete callback is called after enabling the IT...Do you know from where does it could come from?Thank you,Charles

I get the error shown in the image when I enable touch gfx software in cubeMx, in the same question(https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W0000037kqg/warning-this-ip-has-no-parameter-to-be-configured) I saw a reply that said reinstalling cubemx will help fixing the problem but for my case it didn't work and I'm still facing the issue

Hi,I have downloaded the STM32CubeExpansion_NFC6_V1.0.0 and tested it on the NUCLEO-L476RG and it worked fine. But when I tried to copy the file and add them to a STM32L476VG project it didn't work. I have changed the NFC, UART and LED pins. The LEDs work fine, UART too, the NFC is well configured (they made a test for that), but it can't read the NFC Tags and when I approach the phone (with NFC activated) I get a HardFault.Does any one have an idea about this please ?Thanks

Good Day.I want to put my stm32wb device to sleep standby mode. and wakeup using RTC after specific time.I am following the PWR_STANDBY_RTC example which works.I would like to sleep for up to 12 hours and would like to use RTC_WAKEUPCLOCK_CK_SPRE_16BITS and not RTC_WAKEUPCLOCK_RTCCLK_DIV16 since the latter only allows up to 33 seconds.I am sucessfuly using RTC_WAKEUPCLOCK_RTCCLK_DIV16 but I am puzzled by value.for example if I set up counter to: HAL_RTCEx_SetWakeUpTimer_IT(&hrtc, 60, RTC_WAKEUPCLOCK_CK_SPRE_16BITS);it wakes up roughly 16 minutes later. I have tried various values but it seems a rough value is i must divide my second by 16 to get more or less correct time. For exampleHAL_RTCEx_SetWakeUpTimer_IT(&hrtc, 60/16, RTC_WAKEUPCLOCK_CK_SPRE_16BITS);Gives me roughtly 60 second wakeup time.Help would be greatly appreciated.I m using external 32khz clock and bluetooth functionality works great.

Mbed environment looks interesting, mainly because it supports many interesting peripheral chips. I see that there is a MbedTLS option in CubeMx. What is it, how should it be used. Why should I use it. Main.c looks the same as without the Mbed. PDFs are nice but a few words are enough now.Edit: Google tells me MbedTLS is for encryption. Not much use for me, I think.

I am running a simple SPI transmit receive project with an STM32F411 (SPI Master) and STM32F303 (SPI Slave). Whenever I press the user push button on the STM32F4 Master, the Master will send a command byte (0xE1) through SPI and the STM32F3 Slave is expected to respond with 4 particular bytes. The snapshot of the logic analyzer below is what I expect to happen every single push button:I could probably get the accurate SPI transaction above several times. However, most of the time, the snapshot below is what occurs:After running through many tests, I am almost certain that the Slave is the issue because:The Master almost all the time transmits the correct data observed through the Logic AnalyzerThe STM32F3 Slave actually receives the correct data (the command byte and the 4 dummy bytes)What is strange is that I use:/* Exchange 4 bytes with SPI Master and store dummy bytes in pTempRxBuff */ HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive(&hspi1, (uint8_t*)pTxBuff, (uint8_t*)pTempRxBuff, cTxLen, 10000);and r

Hi,i am desperately trying to start multiple Timers with the HRTIM as single trigger.The datasheet states, that internal trigger connection "tim_itr10" is "hrtim_out_sync2".So I enable the HRTIM-Master-TimerHRTIM1->sMasterRegs.MPER = 0xFFDF; HRTIM1->sMasterRegs.MCNTR = 0; Bitfield<HRTIM_MCR_CK_PSC>(HRTIM1->sMasterRegs.MCR) = 5; Bitfield<HRTIM_MCR_SYNC_SRC>(HRTIM1->sMasterRegs.MCR) = 0; Bitfield<HRTIM_MCR_SYNC_OUT>(HRTIM1->sMasterRegs.MCR) = 2; Bitfield<HRTIM_MCR_CONT>(HRTIM1->sMasterRegs.MCR) = 1; Bitfield<HRTIM_MCR_MCEN>(HRTIM1->sMasterRegs.MCR) = 1;While the Timers try to listen to:Timer->SMCR = (14 << TIM_SMCR_TS_Pos); // tim_itr10 = hrtim_out_sync2 Timer->SMCR |= (6 << TIM_SMCR_SMS_Pos); //Trigger ModeHowever, nothing happens.Now, the Datasheet is somewhat unclear if there is really a physical connection between the Timers and the HRTIM, or if this really only done vial GPIO-Pins - since configuring the GPIO-Pin (
