Hi all,I'm attempting to run the simplest example code provided for the STM32H745XI dual core (M7 and M4 cores). I've configured my cube debugger as explained in the link below, and I'm having no success debugging or even starting the second core (M4). Is there something else that I'm missing? There are two GPIO's configured, one for each core, and the only core that actually gets to running is the M7. Other than some GPIO flipping the code is exactly what cube generated for initializing the two cores! Below is the code for each core's main.c.M4 core/* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * <h2><center>© Copyright (c) 2020 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved.</center></h2> * * This software component is licensed by ST under BSD 3

The usb type c pd example code does not seem to work although it compiles properly using SW4STM32. I tried the provided binary file (PNUCLEO-USB001-DEMO1.bin) and it works just fine. I am using nucleo-f072rb and MB1257 expansion board.PNUCLEO_USB001-DEMO1.bin resultit identifies the source(usb pd capable psu). The yellow waveform is VBus others are ccsuccessful transaction from 5V - 9VConsumer(Consumer_CLI_RTOS) example code resulthere, it looks like it is trying to establish connection to the source but couldn't. here is the waveform. What could be the problem here?

Hello,I am including the CMSIS-DSP library on my CubeMX project on Additional Software. Using the Library setting instead of Source. However, when I am trying to call a function from arm_math.h the compiler throws an error that it is not possible to find that function call.Any ideas? How can I include CMSIS-DSP.I am using GCC compiler and STMCubeIDE

The description on the back of the STM32L4A6 Board packages states "STM32CubeL4 embedded software solution featuring divers, RTOS, file sytem, USB, graphics and examples for this Board".The Package from https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeL4 does not include examples for the board. Furthermore the board cannot be found in CubeMX at all. The only way to configure it is over selecting the MCU. Do I miss a package here?greetings Simon

When adding elements to a ListLayout(which is configured to scroll vertically "SOUTH"), the newest elements is added to the bottom, which is fine. However, what is constantly remaining on the top of the view is the first(oldest) element and the subsequent older. As such, the content is larger than the height, the newest element will be hidden till manually scrolling the list. Is there a way to make the list automatically updates "i.e. scrolls up" such that the newest element is in view?

The program can not be uploaded under the dunfell distribution via CUBEIDE 1.3.1 to the target system. Using the thud distribution, target uploads works. Are there any hidden upload scripts in the CUBEIDE - how to debug the debug upload?Which yocto packages are necessary to cooperate with the CUBEIDE?

Hello everyone.I have a problem with my code. I'm trying to write a program to take picture from camera and save it as motion jpeg video (MJPEG) in to USB, using JPEG encoder. I build already the header and the structure of MJPEG file but it had problem when I try to run that video file. Also by the source code was provided by STM, I finished to create the JPEG file. This link below simply show some information about MJPEG construction https://blog.goo.ne.jp/sirius506/e/442f430a1531c018a32471f1ecd4ae77I had checked and found out that the output data of frames and the idx1 is written by f_write was incorrect. Sometime 2 bytes were written again. Has someone told me that problem maybe is "3 bytes were dropped".The header data I wrote to the begin of file is always right, but the data that I wrote to frame place and idx1 place usually has problem.Ex: I want to write data like this below01 02 03 04 0501 02 03 04 0501 02 03 04 0501 02 03 04 05but the output was like this01 02 03 04 05*0

When i enable STM32-XCUBE-TOUCHGFX pack in my cubeMX software ; i have no parameter to configure but i got this warning : "This IP has no parameter to be configured" .How should i solve this issue?

Hello ST Community,Let's start with my problem:I have a STM32WB55CG chip that I want to get working in BLE. I also want it to have an USB CDC interface.I created a project on cubeMX, added my external oscillator (32MHz), activated the USB device under "connectivity", then the Communication Device Classs under "MiddleWare". I went to generate this project, compile under Keil and program my chip. Connected it to my PC, seems to work, Windows recognizes it as COM3. Note that my project is still blank at this point, I did not write a single line of code. Then back to CubeMX, I added the Bluetooth part: HSEM in "System Core", RTC in "Timers", RF in "Connectivity", STM32_WPAN in "MiddleWare". That last option added automaticaly "Sequencer" and "Tiny_LPM" in "Utilities" (I would've added them anyway).Code generation, but this time Keil (my IDE) gives me errors: CubeMX generated some files 2 times in my project, see below.I get it compiing, and program my chip. This is STILL a blank project: th

I'm developing an application which uses both USB mass storage and BLE. I've started by building two separate applications using STM32CubeMX:A USB mass storage application communicating with a microSD card over SPI1A BLE P2P serverBoth of these work fine on their own. But if I build an application that includes both components, the USB mass storage device will not enumerate properly.Initially, I discovered that in the full application, HAL_PCD_IRQHandler got called, but it never fell through to PCD_EP_ISR_Handler. This makes me think the mass storage endpoints have not been configured properly.I've also tackled the problem a different way--by systematically eliminating parts of the BLE initialization to determine what is interfering with USB mass storage. Using this method, I've been able to determine that if I comment out the call to SHCI_C2_BLE_Init in APP_BLE_Init (in app_ble.c), USB mass storage enumerates properly. If I then uncomment this line, it stops working again.SHCI_C2_BLE_

First I disconnected the jumper P2 and supplied 5V from FT232 converter. TX, RX, RTS and DTR are connected to respective pins with FT232 converter. Gnd is common and COM port is selected properly as well. Also FT232 converter is working fine with other Devlopment boards like Arduino, Lora etc.I want to upload the binay file through UART. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Hii everyone,I.m using STM32F407G-DISC1 board. I've ST-Link V2 external debugger (which image I've attached) because I don't want to use onboard debugger. I want to do a boundary scan testing. Can you suggest me is there any free tool available for STM32F4 to do boundary scan testing.

I would like to be able to turn BLE off (e.g. with a timer) even if it is currently connected. I know I can stop it advertising, but this doesn't seem to kill the connection. Basically, after a timeout, I would like the BEL to shutdown and stop using power. I would then like to turn it back on with an external interrupt (hall effect trigger from a magnet). If I stop the BLE, do i need to reinitialise it, or something similar? I have used the p2pServer example to find the "stop advertising" code, but it doesn't fully stop the BLE if you are connected to it.Thanks

Hello, I am writing a project with STM32H7. The project contains RTC, SPI, USART, SD Card, timers, and I2C. In order to have more RAM, I have brough the data and bss to RAM_D1. As next steps I want to implement Ethernet. However, I realized that in order for Ethernet to work, I need to only use RAM_D1. The problem is when I bring the heap and stack to RAM_D1, the project stops working. Can someone please help? I include the linker script before and after bringing everything to RAM_D1.Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi there, I'm trying to emulate an ISO/IEC 14443-3 Type A card (NXP NTAG) with ST95HF. My device can now READ data by an external card reader. The anti-collision filter(ACFILTER) has enabled for ISO/IEC 14443 Type A protocol.According to the datasheet of NXP NTAG, writing data needs the card to return ACK to the reader:Rdr: a2 20 1f c8 06 1f 10 de | WRITEBLOCK(32)Tag: 0a! <- Not a full byteI noticed that the datasheet of ST95HF describes how the chip returns ACK/NAK command in SendRecv(0x04) part.FYI:1. Hi,I was able to read ISO/IEC 14443-3 Type A tag using tag_hunting function from sample code. Recently I found tag detection may help to bypass polling stage and interrupt the Host MCU if there is tag nearby. // Calibration command [07 0E 03 A2 00 F8 01 18 00 00 60 60 00 xx 3F 01]I followed the sample code to run the tag detection calibration process and got result when swt_cnt: 0x20, 0x3F, 0x50 . DacDataH: 0x60, 0x74, 0x78I also do the calibration with tag nearby, the result is almost same as open-air calibration:DacDataH with tag: 0x60, 0x70, 0x78// wake-up by tag detation or IRQ_IN command [07 0E 0A 21 00 79 01 18 00 20 60 60 64 74 3F 00]However, when I sent IDLE command to use tag detection & IRQ_IN pin and emit burst indefinitely, it did not wake up when tag was close. Antenna is fine tuned to read type A tag. Before send IDLE command, ISO14443A_Init() is called to set up protocol. If wake-up by timeout, there was interrupt in IRQ_OUT and able to read Type A tag by tag hunting

I am using STM32H745.Among the functions of STM32H745, RAM ECC function is used. The product that I develop should stop working when the RAM has an abnormality. So, if something goes wrong with RAM, I want to check if the function I implemented is working normally.I want to simulate an abnormality in RAM through the debugger and generate a RAMECC Interrupt. How can I do this? Or let me know if there are any documents that might help.

Hello, i am using STM32F746ZG to sample and process large amounts of ADC data. To increase it's speed dual interleaved mode is used. And because of low processing speed, the main idea is sample many samples of single channel (~50K) and process them. First time, I call ADC, all works as expected and i get interrupt when buffer becomes filled. HAL_ADC_Start(&hadc2); HAL_ADCEx_MultiModeStart_DMA(&hadc1, (uint32_t *)AData, sizeof(AData) / sizeof(uint32_t));void HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback(ADC_HandleTypeDef* hadc) { HAL_ADC_Stop(&hadc1); HAL_ADC_Stop(&hadc2); /* send signal that data is ready */ }But when it is called next time, no interrupt is generated. I can see that ADC is enabled and running, but DMA doesn't transfer any data (DMA NDTR doesn't decrement over time). So after some search i found this in reference manual for MCU:Bit 13 DDS: DMA disable selection (for multi-ADC mode) This bit is set and cleared by software. 0: No new DMA request is issued after the las

After getting help setting up a basic USB-C sink application in this thread, I can successfully detect cable attach/detach events through the relevant callbacks installed via ST USBPD API -- but only for a single cable orientation. The UCPD1 interrupt is not ever being triggered when reversing the Type-C plug.To verify this is not an issue related to (all of) my USB-C cables or Type-C breakout interface, I've swapped the CC1/CC2 wires connecting the Type-C female receptacle to the MCU's CC1/CC2 GPIO pins. This ensures both CC1 and CC2 on the Type-C breakout can both be shown to function correctly. Therefore, I believe the issue must be isolated to just one of the CC GPIO interfaces on the MCU. I've drawn a diagram to clarify:So when the CC wire in the USB-C cable is attached to the UCPD_CC2 GPIO pin, regardless of which CC wire was used on the Type-C breakout, the system fails to detect a connection.Where should I look to figure out why only one orientation is being detected?

I found from ref manual that the internal clock source for TIM1 is APB2 pre-scaled value.(Please see attached image). From CubeMx, I've configured my main clock frequency to be 48MHz, which is a PLL multiplied value from external crystal oscillator of 8MHz.(Please see second attached image)With these in mind, I was trying to get a 1ms timer tick by configuring the timer as below:(please see third attached image)But when I measured the clock period on an oscilloscope, I found it to be 2ms and NOT 1ms.This showed that the internal clock input to TIM1 is being taken as 24MHz, and not 48MHz(I confirmed this by adjusting the pre-scalar to 24000).So what exactly is the clock input source for TIM1?Few other points - I've absolutely made no timer configuration changes in the code.I was able to get calculated timer period of 1ms on TIM3, which seems to be fed with 48MHz clock input.

Hi, How can I restart stm32l431 via software? I an using the MCU with sim800l and I can be able to restart MCU using text message. Does Exist some HAL function to restart MCU?

I made a PCB using Teseo-LIV3F as stand alone, tried to connect TX and RX of the module to Arduino TX and RX using I TinyGps++ library, but I couldn't get any response from the module. I tried to connect the module to software and hardware serial of the Arduino and couldn't also get any response. When I connect the module to USB to TTL I could get response. I am using an active antenna. I have attached the schematic which I am using. Hope to get some help to solve my problem.Best regards

I use Atollic TrueSTUDIO v9.0.1 for a STM32L496RG project.I use the LL_RCC_DeInit() function and have an issue when activation of Optimisation option -Ofast or -O3 .To fix the issue I had to add the key word volatile (see code below).ErrorStatus LL_RCC_DeInit(void) { // uint32_t vl_mask; // RCC register not changed when opitimzation -Ofast or -O3 volatile uint32_t vl_mask; //FIX to run with opitimzation -Ofast or -O3   /* Set MSION bit */ LL_RCC_MSI_Enable();
