I recognized that a lot of components are incompatible with my SPC574S-DISP-Board. Why? It looks like its available on the K-Version.

Hi all,is it possible to use the same GPIO-pin as Timer external trigger and falling edge external interrupt.I'd like to create an application in which a rising edge on a GPIO starts a timer that sets an output for, say 2ms. After this time, another GPIO should be set for the duration of high level (that is: until a falling edge occurs) on the initial GPIO line.Is this feasible?I see no way to do this with the CubeIDE, but don't know what will happen if I set the registers "by hand"Cheers,Bob

I would like to implement the flash programming to our JTAG tool.Are there any documents that describe OnCE module and the Nexus read/write (R/W) access block? Such as those described in AN4035. The only thing that AN4035 is inapplicable for SPC58 device.Thanks all.

Hi,I've noticed that the pcb antenna (ANT300) on ST25R3916-DISCO has the 3rd pin unconnected. The X-NUCLEO-NFC06A1 has this 3rd pin tied to GND. On the other hand, an identical antenna (same dimension and turns that previous one) on X-NUCLEO-NFC05A1 has only 2 pins so there is no 3rd pin tied to GND nor left unconnected (High-z)What is the reason for these differences in the evaluation boards with the same application?regards,gaston

Hello.I'm trying to use SPI interface in STM32F051r8t6 micro on my STM32F0 discovery board. I got it to send data, but I set data lenght to 8bit, it is sending double that (first 8 is my data, but second 8 bit is always 0x00). When I set it to 4-bit, it sends 8bits (first 4 is my data and second 4 is 0x0). What I'm missing? Is that something with CRC?SPI1->CR1 &= ~((SPI_CR1_CPHA) | (SPI_CR1_CPOL) | (SPI_CR1_CRCEN)); //set phase and polarity to 0 SPI1->CR1 |= (SPI_CR1_MSTR) | (SPI_CR1_BR_1) | (SPI_CR1_SSM ) | (SPI_CR1_SSI); //set spi to master and clock to /8 and software slave to 1   SPI1->CR2 = (SPI1->CR2 & (~SPI_CR2_DS)) | (SPI_CR2_DS_2) | (SPI_CR2_DS_1) | (SPI_CR2_DS_0); //spi 8-bit SPI1->CR1 |= (SPI_CR1_SPE); //turn on spi   SPI1->DR = 0xaa; at 8 bit selected:

When can I expect STM32WB35CCU6A BT LE MCA to be supported in STM32CubeIDE?

I've set up the POWERSTEP01 driver in voltage mode, which works nicely. Now I want to use the sensor less stall detection feature to implement sensor less homing. How must the stall_th and also the ocd_th values be dimensioned for this to work correctly.Let's say for example I have a 1.68A stepper and my shunt resistor is 30mOhms. I've configured the hold current to be ~50% of the run current 1.68A using the formulas from application manual.To calculate the voltages used in the register, I use U = R*I, v_stall = 30mOhm*1.8A = 0.054V, which results in stall_th register value of 1, meaning 31.25mV. Is this correct?In general, how big shall the stall and overcurrent values approximately be for a stepper?

Hi,I have designed a 65x85cm 2-turn PCB antenna but I cannot place it close to the damping resistors (I use the ST25R3916 for this). How would the horizontal tracks from the damping resistors to the antenna feed affect its performance, efficiency, field strength and so on? regards,gaston

Is it possible to change the current protection threshold in motor control WB? if yes, how?

Hi,Is there an example code for start with this kit?. I have tried all code proposed(speed ramp with potenziometer) in STMCW but no one works for me, instead the motor profiler works so i think the harware is OK.I created the project in STMCW ,i generated the code in cubbeMX and finaly i opened CUBEMXIDE for compile and download the code on board, but like i alread say the motor do not moves.I hope in any kind of help.Best.

The idea is to 1) Control position - that is to rotate the motor with a desired angle such as 5 degrees, 7 degrees, 10 deg, 13 deg, 20 deg, etc.. 2) Control speed in rpmBut as the motor control based application is new for me, I'm not sure what control algorithm or which solution is best fit for my requirement.I started working on implementing 6 step sequence with PWM based on 3 feedback signals of HALL effect outputs from BLDC motor, which I believe this drives the BLDC motor with no control (open loop).Note: For this, I'm using an evaluation kit (other than STM which is already available with me), but yet to get the other hardware like motor driver card and BLDC motor.To start with, could you please suggest a good approach to build this application:1) Any suitable development kit with BLDC motor position control software, so that I plan to buy it and explore the BLDC software application to achieve solution for my project.2) Request to suggest a reference (an application notes o

My application is very low power, and I need to save power wherever possible. To this end, I do the following:LIS2DE12_WriteReg(LIS2DE12_MEMS_I2C_ADDRESS, 0x20, 0x08);Which basically puts the accelerometer in power down mode. The LIS2DE12_WriteReg basically uses HAL_I2C_Mem_Write.I seem to constantly get a HAL_TIMEOUT returned whenever I try to put the accelerometer in power down mode. I even set the timeout to a high value, and its still the same problem.Inside LIS2DE12_WriteReg , this is what happens:HAL_StatusTypeDef i2c_write_status;   i2c_write_status = HAL_I2C_Mem_Write(&hi2c1, deviceAddress, WriteAddr, I2C_MEMADD_SIZE_8BIT, (uint8_t*)&Data, 1, 10000);   DEBUG_LOG_ACC("I2C Bus Status(A): %d", HAL_I2C_GetError(&hi2c1)); DEBUG_LOG_ACC("I2C Write Status(A): %d", i2c_write_status);i2c_write status always returns HAL_TIMEOUT.Thanks for your time.Tim

HiI am working on changing the frequency of the square signal which comes from STM32F4. I used Timer and ADC simultaneously where I change ARR and CCR1 accordingly to change the frequency. When I use an incremental loop for these values I can get different frequency but When I add ADC (continuous mode) in the fly of the program, the output gives me just one frequency and when I press the reset button with changing variable resistor I get updated value. How can I solve this issue? Is there another method to do that?this is my code:-----------------------------------------------------------------------while (1){AA=HAL_ADC_GetValue(&hadc1);DT=0.5*AA;htim3.Instance->ARR=AA;htim3.Instance->CCR1=DT;}-------------------------------------------------------------------------I will hear from you.Thanks

Hello, support team.In my test board, lis3mdl is connected to lsm6dsox I2C.From above board, I want to read acceleration and gyro at 1667Hz, magnetic at 1kHz.I refer to lsm6dsox_sensor_hub_fifo_lis2mdl.c to implement SW.But It looks like magnetic data is rarely read from FIFO.And maximum speed of SHUB_ODR_ is 104hz.How can I read magnetic data at 1kHz speed?And could you check my configuration? /* Electrical pin configuration */ val.sdo_sa0_pull_up = 0; val.aux_sdo_ocs_pull_up = 0; val.int1_int2_push_pull = 0; val.int1_pull_down = 0; lsm6dsox_pin_conf_set(&lsm_ctx, val);   /* Check device ID */ lsm6dsox_device_id_get(&lsm_ctx, &whoamI); while (whoamI != LSM6DSOX_ID) nrf_delay_ms(10); /* Restore default configuration */ lsm6dsox_reset_set(&lsm_ctx, PROPERTY_ENABLE); do { lsm6dsox_reset_get(&lsm_ctx, &rst); } while (rst);   /* Disable I3C interface */ lsm6dsox_i3c_disable_set(&lsm_ctx, LSM6DSOX_I3C_DISABLE);   lis3mdl_dev

Hello. I'm trying to play a music file using PWM with STM32F1. For this, I saved the sound data in flash memory with appropriate resolution. Using Timer 2 and DMA, I transfer the data to TIM2-> CCR1 register. Sampling Frequency 8 Khz. DMA Circular Mode works fine. As soon as I set up the timer, It write the data to the CCR1 register and I getting the pwm at the out. This way I get a constantly repeating sound. But I have a problem. I want the system to stop after Transfer is complete. For this I am running DMA in normal mode. After the transfer is complete, the DMA TC interrupt continues to come. My init settings and DMA interrupt routines are as follows.void TIM_PWM_Sound_Configuration(void) { TIM_TimeBaseInitTypeDef TIM_TimeBaseStructure; TIM_OCInitTypeDef TIM_OCInitStructure; GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStructure; DMA_InitTypeDef DMA_InitStructure; NVIC_InitTypeDef NVIC_InitStructure; RCC_APB2PeriphClockCmd(RCC_APB2Periph_GPIOA, ENABLE); RCC_AHBPeriphClockCmd(RCC_AHBPeriph

Dear experts,I have a problem with stm8s_conf.h file. I download the Standard Peripheral Libraries officially from ST web page. After I put them all into STVD, I mean the .c and .h files, then I compile. The compiler detects that stm8s_conf.h does not exist. I try to check the stm8s_conf.h from SPL and thats true. I could not find the stm8s_conf.h file. So, I have to find it from another sources like github or something else. Back to the question, Is the stm8s_conf.h really exist ?Thank you & best regards,Mahendra

I was struggling for a while to do a deep dissect of the cache behavior of my STM32F7508-DK device.Especially, when accessing SDRAM connected to FMC, the performance behavior was weird(some was much better than the others while the code looked semantically equivalent--even considering architectural components).After digging for a while, I found evidences to believe that the hardware prefetcher maybe the culprit.I found here (https://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/application_note/group0/bc/2d/f7/bd/fb/3f/48/47/DM00272912/files/DM00272912.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.DM00272912.pdf) that I can turn off the prefetcher by changing the memory attribute to strongly-ordered. However, from the same doc it seems like making the memory strongly-ordered would also turn off the cache (Table 4).I really want to only turn off the prefetcher while keeping the cache on. Does anyone know if this is possible?Maybe at this point this became more of an obsession of mine than a prod

Have installed STM32CubeIDE on my Debian Linux system.Following the QuickStart Guide, I try: File > New > STM32 Projectand it thinks about it and the gives me:-What did I forget to do and where does it tell me to do it?

Hello all,Must use I/O expander (PCA9534PW) with STM32F334K8T6.Code:HAL_I2C_Mem_Write(&hi2c1, 0x20<<1, 0x03, I2C_MEMADD_SIZE_8BIT, 0x00, 1, 15000);All code (CubeMX generated): https://pastebin.com/GKNxHSut The usual HAL_I2C_Transmit is not suitable, since here it is necessary to select the module settings register (as well as with an external EEPROM).1) 0x03 - configuration register2) 0x00 - set all 8 pins to exit modeWhen the code is run, the expander reacts, but not as it should. Instead of setting all pins to output mode, he puts one or more (I can see this by the LEDs on the expander outputs, since they are high by default). Having tried various combinations of the configuration register, for example 0x99 - all pins are in output mode. Although 0x99 shouldn't.Identical and with further on / off pins - what I enter - does not match at the outputs.My guess is that there is bit shifting going on here and the shifted combination arrives at the device.What options did I check:

I am using NUCLEO-64 stm32f401 and had to replace the IC with a new one of the same type since the old one got damaged. After soldering the new IC I downloaded my l test code(LED Blinking) but the debugger stopped in HARDFAULT_HANDLER. None of my GPIOs are working. Should I should download a new boot loader or is it already built in to it. What are the procedures I should follow to make my Nucleo-Board working. Is there any material available which can help me through the procedure. Please excuse me , as I just started learning the board. Thank you in Advance.
