Why is the touchgfx screen refresh rate 60Hz？ Is this fixed? Or does it change automatically, or can it be set manually? If it can be changed, where is it located?

Hello Community,I use the IWDG of a STM32F429. My application is relatively simple. Two valves are controlled and data is sent via UART (non-blocking). Nevertheless, I notice at random times a reset of the controller by the watchdog. The window watchdog apparently owns a notification possibility via Early Wakeup Interrupt (EWI). Such a feature does not seem to exist in the IWDG. I wonder what is now available as an option to determine the function with the longest execution time without having to trace everywhere. Is there a way to know where the controller is just before the reset? Does ST already offer some kind of instrumentation?

Hi there, I am a first time user of the gate driver evaluation board EVAL6498L, and I am trying to understand how to connect it to the controller and to the MOSFETs, I am using this document .Assume I am sending 2 PWM signals from a microcontroller PWM1 and PWM2, where do I connect them? My understanding from your document is that PWM1 must go to the pin 1 of the driver IC and PWM2 to pin 2 of the driver IC, and the controller ground goes to pin 3 of the driver IC. 1) My question is how are these IC pins mapped on the connector J2 of EVAL6498L? My guess is that PWM1 goes to J2-1 and PWM2 goes to J2-4, and the controller ground to J2-6. Would this be correct? Then if this is the case, what is the function of J2-2 (LIN)?2) I have marked also a part in the drawing, where I am not sure about the label I circled in red. Should that be PWM_L? (and not PWM_H)? I am a bit confused.3) is it ok to connect the ground of the Vcc power supply together with the microcontroller ground, in J2-6?Thank

Hi guys!I need to Burst write multiple values using DMA. The processor that I'm using is stm32F407. I found than the solution for this task is HAL_TIM_DMABurst_MultiWriteStart function, but it is missing in the HAL library. https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeF4/blob/master/Drivers/STM32F4xx_HAL_Driver/Src/stm32f4xx_hal_tim.cTherefore it presents in versions for another processors:https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeF2/blob/master/Drivers/STM32F2xx_HAL_Driver/Src/stm32f2xx_hal_tim.chttps://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeG4/blob/master/Drivers/STM32G4xx_HAL_Driver/Src/stm32g4xx_hal_tim.cIs that a stm32F4xx hardware limitation? And is there a way to solve the issue? Thanks!

I am using STM32L496 Nucelo, CubeMX 6.1.1; FATFS, DMA SDMMC with FreeRtos. For some reason I have problems when it comes to using DMA2 Channel 4 with FreeRtos. When it is selected for SDMMC1_TX then I can mount SD card and read data without any problems. Although I can't write any data into SD card. I call:fresult = f_open(&fit_record_file, "test.txt", FA_CREATE_ALWAYS | FA_WRITE);Which return FR_OK but the file is not created. Next when I call:fresult = f_write(&fit_record_file, &data_crc, sizeof(data_crc), &fit_record_br);Program gets stucks for SD_TIMEOUT in function SD_read at status = osMessageQueueGet(SDQueueID, (void *)&event, NULL, SD_TIMEOUT); in sd_discio.c at 463 line. Callback BSP_SD_WriteCpltCallback is never called. When DMA2 Channel 4 is selected for SDMMC1_RX then I can't mount SD and at the end program again waits SD_TIMEOUT for message, which never comes. Callback BSP_SD_ReadCpltCallback is never called. After this tests it looks like there is a pro

HI All, how can I create and organize in folders all the pictures I inserted on Image section?

I have a board with a CAN transceiver connected to a STM32G473RE using PA8 and PA15 for RX and TX. When I configure the GPIO for PA15 into AF11 to enable the CAN module, I lose connection with my STLink debugger. (I am using the STLink built into a Nucleo-F207 board)For debug I am using SWD so the PA15 JTDI pin should not be needed. What steps need to be taken to release this pin so that it can be used for other functions? To easily reproduce, I created a project in STM32Cube where I just enabled CAN on those two pins and generated the code.

Hello community,I have a few of questions regarding SFI:1) Does STM32H753AI support SFI (Secure Firmware Install)?2) Can I use SWD for the SFI?3) Is there any recommended HSM smart card reader for the SFI?Thank you :)

I'm porting toughgfx button example to rt-thread. I tested the environment with led blinking. My environment is as below.tool chains: scons + gas/gcc/g++debugging : openocd + gdbflash program : STM32CubeProgrammer with openjdk and openjfxRTOS: rt-threadBoard: stm32f746g-discoI merged the touchgfx button example into rt-thread. And then I began to experience a hard fault. It starts with touchgfx::touchgfx_init(). I checked that I have no problem with cpp codes, such as new operator and STL.  at touchgfx-button/Middlewares/ST/TouchGFX/touchgfx/framework/include/common/TouchGFXInit.hpp:8686     HAL& hal = getHAL<HALType>(dma, display, tc, width, height);  at touchgfx-button/Middlewares/ST/TouchGFX/touchgfx/framework/include/common/TouchGFXInit.hpp:8787     hal.initialize();void OSWrappers::initialize()0801c9a0 <_ZN8touchgfx3HAL10initializeEv>: 801c9a0:    b510   &nb

Hello Community,in my application data is transferred between two MCUs using a UART. One of these MCUs is a STM32F429. It often detects frame and noise errors. I am aware of how a frame error is detected, but I can't find any information in the Reference Manual, the UART Application Notes nor the presentation files about what condition must exist so that the HAL Error Code HAL_UART_ERROR_NE is generated.Does UART periodically scan between communications to detect bit-variations or how exactly does this work? In which document can I find the information? Thanks =)

I would like know the max vibration frequency that I can monitor. The max ODR is 6666Hz

Hello all,   I managed to enter the DFU mode by rebooting the SoC from the command line after setting the proper tamper register to get the Uboot to select my desired USB boot mode. After flashing the new image with the STM32CubeProgrammer I would like to be able to reboot the SoC again without having to do press physically the reset button or have to type the reset command inthe Uboot with a STLink console.   I see in the wiki that the proper configuration of the tsv file should be able to trigger a RESET PhaseID (0xFF) but I have no clue on how to do it. I entered the line "-      0xFF   reset  Binary none   0x0    arm-trusted-firmware/tf-a-stm32mp157c-demo-logic-analyser-mx-serialboot.stm32" at the end of my tsv file but it does not do the trick. By checking the stm32prog.c source code it seems that that PhaseID is unusable and will only be triggered in case of an error ocurring

Hi everyone, we have a problem using LPTIM4 PWM output on STM32H747I-DISCO when system enters STOP mode.In this project, I need two independent PWM outputs with fixed frequency to work, while system goes to STOP mode to save power. LPTIM1_OUT & LPTIM4_OUT are used for this purpose.■ The issue is:1.In RUN mode, both LPTIM PWM works as expected.2. After system enters STOP mode, LPTIM1_OUT keeps PWM output, as expected.  But LPTIM4_OUT PWM stopped.3. When system wakes up from STOP mode, LPTIM4 starts PWM generation again automatically. This behavior seems like normal timer, not low-power timer.■ The waveform shown below helps to demonstrate the issue: Red - LPTIM1_OUT Yellow - LPTIM4_OUT Green - MCU current consumption■ Configuration codes are generated by STM32CubeIDE. Some code excerpts:A. Clock Source of LPTIM1 & LPTIM4 are LSE: PeriphClkInitStruct.Lptim1ClockSelection = RCC_LPTIM1CLKSOURCE_LSE; PeriphClkInitStruct.Lptim345ClockSelection = RCC_LPTIM345CLKSOU

Since Friday, generate an example from STM32CubeMX plugin is impossible for STM32WB series. Plugin is looking for a firmware package V1.11.0 which doesn't exist (no release in github repo, and newest tag is v1.10.1)does anyone already experienced this issue?ThanksPierre

Hi Technical Team,Where can i find application note or sample program for working with NMI interrupt in SPC560P Disp board.

Hi everyone, I'm using an STM32L4 microcontroller and a LSM6DSL MEMS. They are conected with the spi2 interface and for configuring everithing I'm using STMCubeIDE.I'm able to use the MEMS without BSP Custom, but when I try to set the BSP, it doesn't work at all. Here the code I used to link BSP with SPI: /* Link SPI functions to the LSM6DSL driver */ io_ctx.BusType   = LSM6DSL_SPI_4WIRES_BUS; io_ctx.Init    = BSP_SPI2_Init; io_ctx.DeInit   = BSP_SPI2_DeInit; io_ctx.ReadReg   = BSP_SPI2_SendRecv; io_ctx.WriteReg  = BSP_SPI2_Send; io_ctx.GetTick   = BSP_GetTick; LSM6DSL_RegisterBusIO(&MotionSensor, &io_ctx);I have read on internet that it works fine with I2C, but it seems to be a little tricky to set it up with SPI.Anyone could help?ThanksGabriele

I am using STM32L4A6VG with 1 MB flash and my application is about 600+KB. I want to update the user app from an external flash and need some guide to modify SBSFU.After reading these 2 examples (STM32CubeExpansion_SBSFU_V2.4.0\Projects\B-L475E-IOT01A\Applications\2_Images_ExtFlash and STM32CubeExpansion_SBSFU_V2.4.0\Projects\32L496GDISCOVERY\Applications\2_Images), I can update user image from my external flash with RDP and WRP on. Here is my configuration of memory mapping. I know this configuration violates FWALL and MPU settings (like active image header should be in FWALL NVDATA) so I comment the sanity check of FWALL and turn off FWALL protection./* Header does not start at the beginning of the sector to ensure the overlap constraint between firewall NVDATA section and firewall CODE section. This constraint is relevant only for products with dual bank and firewall isolation */ __ICFEDIT_SLOT_Active_1_start__ = 0x08012000; __ICFEDIT_SLOT_Active_1_end__ = 0x080F1FFF; __ICFEDIT

Lets hope someone has a felicitously revelation, or a clue.I am using a custom board with a nice stm32f105rbtx, fed with external XTAL.Everything worked like a charm untill i configured the clock to be 72Mhz and readjusted the can parameters in CUBEMX to match 125.000bauds  when i run the generated code it crashes riight here in HAL_CAN_Init(); The init function timeouts right here and returns HAL_ERROR /* Check Sleep mode leave acknowledge */ while ((hcan->Instance->MSR & CAN_MSR_SLAK) != 0U) { if ((HAL_GetTick() - tickstart) > CAN_TIMEOUT_VALUE) { /* Update error code */ hcan->ErrorCode |= HAL_CAN_ERROR_TIMEOUT;   /* Change CAN state */ hcan->State = HAL_CAN_STATE_ERROR;   return HAL_ERROR; } }I have no idea why the canbus "stays in sleep mode" during initialization with this config.....CubeMX file attachedEdit: now it happens with every canbus config, even old commits that were working previously.

Hi Touch GFX team,Throwing a hard fault error after the,Texts::setLanguage(0);Cube ide version 1.5.0Cube MX version v6.1.1Please suggest a solution

Im using stm32H7 discover board and a co2 sensor which is interfaced through I2C.

STM32F777__HAL_RCC_TIM5_CLK_ENABLE(); TIM5->PSC = HAL_RCC_GetPCLK1Freq()/1000000 - 1; TIM5->CR1 = TIM_CR1_CEN;   cyclecountstart = TIM5->CNT; HAL_Delay(1); cyclecountend = TIM5->CNT; cyclecount = cyclecountend - cyclecountstart;I expect to see cyclecount to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 1000. Yes I know it could be as high as 2000. However, I consistently get around 168,000. I have verified prescaler is getting set how I expect (53 since PCLK1 is 54 MHz). If I remove the delay completely I see around 14 counts which I guess is believable but seems high. What am I missing?

while using the DSPI example in spc58ec_disp , i couldn't see that the "spi_lld_select" and "spi_lld_unselect " functions usage to control the slave pin. and it didn't had any effect while i used the functions. how could i use the functions to control the chip select line.

I need to implement a single channel software triggered ADC scan in an interrupt callback paced at 10ms intervals, since the rate cannot be controlled in DMA.I never had an issue doing this with CMSIS, yet, HAL seems to be, well, difficult is the nicest word I will use. I am confident my code is set up correctly, because before the scheduler starts, I have a "while" test loop that run 10 times, and the values come out correctly. Yet, in the callback, it chokes to death and causes faults. Why, that's just like HAL.Here is the init code for the ADC. void MX_ADC1_Init(void){ ADC_MultiModeTypeDef multimode = {0}; ADC_ChannelConfTypeDef sConfig = {0}; /** Common config  */ hadc1.Instance = ADC1; hadc1.Init.ClockPrescaler = ADC_CLOCK_ASYNC_DIV2; hadc1.Init.Resolution = ADC_RESOLUTION_12B; hadc1.Init.DataAlign = ADC_DATAALIGN_RIGHT; hadc1.Init.ScanConvMode = ADC_SCAN_ENABLE; hadc1.Init.EOCSelection = ADC_EOC_SINGLE_CONV; hadc1.Init.LowPow
