Is the only difference between the two that LSM6DSOX has the machine-learning core (MLC)?In other words, are the 2 parts interchangeable when the MLC is not used?

Hi thereI am planning to use EVAL6498L to build a boost dc-dc converter with synchronous rectification. I notice that if I fit two TO-220 switches these will be very close, therefore I am not sure what heat-sink I can use, as mechanical space becomes a problem if I use this heatsink (RA-T2X-51E), which I was planning to use. Would you have some recommended type of heatsinks that can be used for TO-220 switches sitting on this EVAL6498L board? Thank youLello

On X-NUCLEO-GFX01M1 I would need to manage the on-screen keyboard because LCD is not touch.I have successfully ported keyboard example from designer to hardware (X-NUCLEO-GFX01M1 on NUCLEO-G071).Is it possible to add support for the keypad or is it better to write a new one?If so, what do you think?

Good afternoon,Maybe is an obvious question.I'm studying the default startup_stm32g030xx.s, a part of the syntax is figured out in the program manual of MCU and another part in the GNU AS command page.But, for example, those following commands: .syntax unified .cpu cortex-m0 .fpu softvfp .thumbI can understand the meaning but I would like to know in which ST's document are described, which are the options, etc. Thank you in advance, Riccardo C.

Can someone help me figuring out how do we conclude the obtain pcm values are accurate and can there be any references to validate it and test it back?Any suggestions please help?

We're using the STM32 Nucleo-L4R5ZIThe issue is that whenever we try to check the ST-Link using STM32Cube Programmer or ST-Link Utility, it won't connect to the board.We kept getting errors like"STLink USB Communication Error""No STM32 Target Found"In STM32Cube Programmer, we got the error "st-link error (dev_usb_comm_err)" and "st-link error (dev_connect_err)"Whenever I connect in the board through USB, the ST-Link LED is red, I'm guessing that means something is not working properlyWe've tried using different USB cables and USB ports on different computers, we tried uninstalling STM32 related programs, reinstalled them, and updating drivers, but nothing seemed to help.When looking at "NODE L4R5ZI", there's a text file named FAIL.txt, with text saying "The interface firmware FAILED TO reset/halt the target MCU".

I put the following question in the General forum of STM32, only today I saw the specific forum for questions related to Digital Power. Anyway..I'm builing a photovoltaic power application using the F334R8, but i'm having issues with HRTIM1, TIMERA/TIMERB output. Attached are scope outputs.CH1 the main power switch Drain-Source voltage, CH2 is the signal comming from the STM32F334R8 HRTIMA (or B) - which drives CH1; CH3 is the output of the high voltage side of the inverter (TIMC/TIMD) and CH4 is the current through an active clamp converter - synched with CH1...The problem is: The output from TIMA/TIMB can sometimes randomly gets higher than 100%! (as shown on CH2).HRTIMA/B configuration seems to be correct - also i'm enabling shadow registers - and the code to extract those waveforms are running an open-loop soft-start duty increase *** only ***....It's very weird and very random, so the question is: what should I check on the STM32 side? code? hw? power-sources?BTW:Code to update th

In the STM32F4 Reference Manual, there is an example calculation of the WWDG timeout period t_WWDG (see attached image).However when I type in the numbers from the example, I get a different value (87.38 ms instead of 21.85 ms). It seems that the value was calculated with WDGTB[1:0] set to 1 instead of 3.Can someone confirm that this is correct?

I am studying USB PD. I am using the demo board B-G474E-DPOW1 and the project from the STM32CubeG4 examples. When I connect the USB-C cable to the charger, after the ATTACH event, I receive a list of possible profiles from Source. But when the cable is already connected to the charger and I reset the board, then after the ATTACH event, the list of profiles from Source does not come. Is this normal behavior? Should source power profiles come only after cable connection?How can I fix it so that after resetting the board, everything works same as on cable connection?

Hello. Im using STM32L476RG nucleo. Im trying to debug bare metal code. Sadly my debug stops working when it gets to line where MODER register is configured. Console says following: Target is not responding, retrying...It keeps saying that until debugger loses connection.The line where debuggur loses connection: GPIOA->MODER = 0x400;However when i write same line with OR debugger is fine: GPIOA->MODER |= 0x400; As soon as i remove OR(|) it crashes. The problem is with OR it won't change register values and my code won't work. Any solution?#include "stm32l4xx.h" // Device header   void delayMs(int delay);   int main(void) { RCC->AHB2ENR |= 1; // enable GPIOA clock, 00000000000000000000000000000001   GPIOA->MODER = 0x400; // set PA5 as output, 0b 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0100 0000 0000, default value //0xABFFF7FF?   while(1){   GPIOA->ODR = 0x20; // set PA5 output data register 1, 0b .... 0010 0000 delayMs(100); GPIOA->ODR &=~ 0x20;

Attached please is the connected equipment, installed software and the error message.

I successfully used a HAL code I found on Github for driving an ili9341 TFT LCD with SPI then I rewrote the code with registers. Part of my code works and I am able to fill pixels with color but when I try to use a function named ILI9341_Draw_Colour_Burst the code doesn't work. I tried to use the Keil debugger to see what happens and it showed a hard fault occurred. The function code is shown belowvoid ILI9341_Draw_Colour_Burst(uint16_t Colour, uint32_t Size) { //SENDS COLOUR uint32_t Buffer_Size = 0; if((Size*2) < BURST_MAX_SIZE) { Buffer_Size = Size; } else { Buffer_Size = BURST_MAX_SIZE; } LCD_DC_PORT->BSRR |= LCD_DC_PIN; LCD_CS_PORT->BRR |= LCD_CS_PIN;   unsigned char chifted = Colour>>8;; unsigned char burst_buffer[Buffer_Size]; for(uint32_t j = 0; j < Buffer_Size; j+=2) { burst_buffer[j] = chifted; burst_buffer[j+1] = Colour; }   uint32_t Sending_Size = Size*2; uint32_t Sending_in_Block = Sending_Size/Buffer_Size; uint32_t Remainder_from_block

Hi,I am developing a bootloader and an application for a device. Now I have two separate projects and I configure all pins using CubeMX twice. Each project has ist own .ioc file and it is very much work to synch all pins and other settings between the two projects, also because the CubeMX tool is very slow.So I wonder if there is an elegant way to share a .ioc config between both projects without breaking things?Thanks in advance,Anguel

Hi all,I'm working on a project that will communicate via SPI. I want to use DMA for it. I have some problem getting HAL_SPI_TxCpltCallback to be called. I've followed the debbuger and I think I've found what's wrong. It seems that the SPI_DMATransmitCplt function is not checking the hspi instance at the right address.Here is the state of the right hspi instance before beginning the transmission. Notice the byte is set to 0x1 (HAL_SPI_STATE_READY).Here is the same variable after the hspi state has been put to 0x3 (HAL_SPI_STATE_BUSY_TX).So far, so good. The transmission occurs and then the HAL_DMA_IRQHandler is called. The SPI_DMATransmitCplt function is then called. In this function, there is the lineSPI_HandleTypeDef *hspi = (SPI_HandleTypeDef *)((DMA_HandleTypeDef *)hdma)->Parent;This line is supposed to return the hspi instance previously mentionned. Instead, it returns another instance with its state set to 0x1 (HAL_SPI_STATE_READY).This means that HAL_SPI_IRQHandler will never

Hello everyone,I am currently a student in computer science. For an association project (linked to my school), I must take over a project which used a STM32F746BGTx LQFP208 board. The whole project contains a .ioc file, the generated sources and a lot of custom sources for achieving the past goals of the project I am taking over.The problem is, when I want to create a new STM32 Project from an existing STM32CubeMX configuration file (.ioc), it says the project is using STM32 FW F7 V1.7.0, which is not available on the ST website. It doesn't generate the sources after that (which I don't want, I only want to be able to open the project, to work on it and to build/compile it). I have tried to open it with FW F7 V1.15.0 & V1.16.0 but it didn't worked. Same by opening project from file system, I can't open the .ioc file.I am working in my association local network, which is secured from Internet, so I can't directly download the FW update, I must import it using sftp.Is there any ways

Hello, I am using a MEMS PDM microphone and reading it in using I2S. The following parameters are set in my I2S and PDM configurations.hi2s3.Instance = SPI3; hi2s3.Init.Mode = I2S_MODE_MASTER_RX; hi2s3.Init.Standard = I2S_STANDARD_MSB; hi2s3.Init.DataFormat = I2S_DATAFORMAT_24B; hi2s3.Init.MCLKOutput = I2S_MCLKOUTPUT_DISABLE; hi2s3.Init.AudioFreq = I2S_AUDIOFREQ_48K; hi2s3.Init.CPOL = I2S_CPOL_LOW; hi2s3.Init.ClockSource = I2S_CLOCK_PLL; hi2s3.Init.FullDuplexMode = I2S_FULLDUPLEXMODE_ENABLE;The PDM2PCM decimation factor is 64. I am sending the data out of the uart at 2Mbaud, but am getting gaps of corrupt values in my data. Is this because I am not sending it fast enough? If so, how could I buffer this better in order to fix this issue? Thanks for any help, my code is here as well and an image of my plotted audio. HAL_I2S_Receive_DMA(&hi2s3, &pdmRxBuf[0],64); HAL_UART_Transmit_DMA(&huart2, (uint8_t *)txBuf, 256); /* USER CODE END 2 */   /* Infinite loop

I'm trying to import an example project for STM32WB using STM32CubeIDE V1.5.1  and got the following error:I tried doing package updates, uninstall and reinstall and everything I could think of but I wasn't able to figure out how to resolve this (tried googling/forum searching it but no luck). Following I report you the Package installed: How can I resolve this issue?

Like several other people, I missed the confirmation email that was sent - unfortunately I was on vacation on Friday, and the window to reply to the email included the weekend. I would still very much like to attend the course. Is there any way that I can still confirm and get a seat?Thanks in advance,Chris

Hi.I want to use DPI2 located at pins 66 (miso), 68 (mosi) and 112 (clock) to control two different SPI slave devices. Pin 57 (CS0) and pin 64 (CS2) are wired to the respective chip selects.Then I used the wizards to generate application code for SPI2, using CS0 in hardware. Works like a charm.But how can I add the second device, also using SPI2 and a different chip select? When I try to duplicate my SPI setting and changing the chip select line, the application stop using the former CS0 completely.Controller is SPC58EC80E5QMC0, using SPC5studio 6 "asimov".Thanks.Edit: SPC5Studio offers options like hardware continuous, hardware discontinuous, software. Why is there no documentation, what those options actually do?

What is the Emission Designatgor for NFC? I'm using ST25R3911 with  ISO15693 .

Hello, for static code analysis I need the output from the clean/build process. So I searched how to build my project via command line and found the headless-build.bat (I use windows 10). After some problems with the syntax I finally got it running. The only problem is, that when I want to clean the project (-clean), it automatically builds the project afterwards. I didn’t find anything how to stop this process after cleaning - do you have any idea?Thanks and best regards

Hi,I am working with the CR95HF on the xnucleo nfc03a1 and using a custom Atmega328 board. I can communicate with the CR95HF but the read sequence is kind of like in a shift register. See attached figures.Fig 1: I am only reading the device ID, notice how the bytes shift for some reason.Fig 2: I also read echo and all the bytes are out of order. The code I am using is as follows:startCR95HF(); transmitSPI(0x00); transmitSPI(0x01); transmitSPI(0x00); stopCR95HF(); // send ID command pollCR95HF(); startCR95HF(); transmitSPI(0x02); // read ID transmitUart0('ID '); for (int i = 0; i<17; i++){ transmitUart0(receiveSPI()); } stopCR95HF(); startCR95HF(); transmitSPI(0x00); transmitSPI(0x55); transmitSPI(0x00); stopCR95HF(); pollCR95HF(); // send command for echo   startCR95HF(); transmitSPI(0x02); transmitUart0(receiveSPI()); stopCR95HF(); // read echo Any idea what might be causing this?Thanks in advanceRegards,Salman
