Hello,I am having a problem with CubeMX failing to load a project and not giving any description of what the error is. (See image)I started the exe using java to get more insight and I get this error2021-02-23 10:57:51,490 [ERROR] ThirdPartyModel:1012 - 2021-02-23 10:57:51,492 [FATAL] ProjectFactory:378 - Exception caught java.lang.NullPointerException at com.st.microxplorer.plugins.thirdparty.ThirdPartyIpManager.setIpMode(ThirdPartyIpManager.java:733) at com.st.microxplorer.plugins.thirdparty.ThirdPartyIpManager.updateModel(ThirdPartyIpManager.java:344) at com.st.microxplorer.plugins.thirdparty.ThirdPartyIpManager.updateModelDuringProjectLoad(ThirdPartyIpManager.java:311) at com.st.microxplorer.plugins.thirdparty.ThirdParty.mcuLoadStep1EventHandler(ThirdParty.java:724) at com.st.microxplorer.plugins.thirdparty.ThirdParty.propertyChange(ThirdParty.java:657) at java.beans.PropertyChangeSupport.fire(Unknown Source) at java.beans.PropertyChangeSupport.firePropertyChange(Unknown Sou

Hi there,I'm using the STM32WB55 to build a ultra low power sensor. The low power is working very well on the M4 with my firmware but the M0 with the Thread MTD stack is giving back unexpected results.Since the sensor can sleep for a while (also 10 minutes and also more) between samplings, I'm setting it as a SED by using the otLinkSetPollPeriod and the otThreadSetLinkMode to tell the radio to sleep and poll the parent every 5 minutes and it seemed to work.During the consumption tests we noticed that while the M4 was still asleep, the M0 started an high consumption (~10mA) after 3 exact minutes of inactivity (no tx from us and poll period at 5 minutes). The high consumption stops after other 2 minutes (so, after a total of 5, as the poll period set).I really don't know what's happening, am I missing something? Thank you in advance for your helpHave a nice dayPaul

Hi CommunityIn the DT the TIM1, TIM4 and SPI4 are assigned to the M4 and in the pinmux the RSVD is set (DT attached). Booting A7 generates no ERROR during Kernel boot. If the M4 is started from the A7 context the following ERROR Messages occurs for all assigned peripherals:[ 1648.984460] remoteproc remoteproc0: powering up m4[ 1648.990531] remoteproc remoteproc0: Booting fw image core4-m4-app.elf, size 1164296[ 1648.998032] stm32mp157-pinctrl soc:pin-controller@50002000: invalid function.[ 1649.003955] rproc-srm-dev: probe of m4@0:m4_system_resources:timer@40002000 failed with error -22[ 1649.013430] stm32mp157-pinctrl soc:pin-controller@50002000: invalid function.[ 1649.019935] rproc-srm-dev: probe of m4@0:m4_system_resources:timer@44000000 failed with error -22[ 1649.029232] stm32mp157-pinctrl soc:pin-controller@50002000: invalid function.[ 1649.035907] rproc-srm-dev: probe of m4@0:m4_system_resources:spi@44005000 failed with error -22[ 1659.359767] rproc-srm-core m4@0:m4_system_reso

Hello,I'm trying to follow the test procedure for BlueNRG-MS (SPI) indicated in the Bringing up the BlueNRG and BlueNRG-MS devices - Application note (AN4494).I'm using an STEVAL-IDB005V1D board (with a BLUENRG-MS chip) and an NUCLEO-F446RE board to read SPI signals.Here is the test procedure (page 5/32 of AN4494) :A BlueNRG hardware reset, performed by the microcontroller, generates an ACI event with a sequence described below and shown in Figure 3. BlueNRG SPI transaction on HW reset: 1. Release of hardware reset -> OK✔? 2. IRQ goes high to signal an event from BlueNRG (if this signal is not present, it means that the BlueNRG firmware for some reason is not running) -> OK✔? 3. The external microcontroller lowers CS to access the BlueNRG and read the event -> OK✔? 4. The microcontroller reads 5 bytes from SPI; they should be [02,7F,00,00,00] -> OK✔? 5. The external microcontroller, after raising the CS, lowers it again to access the BlueNRG and read the event -> OK✔

Do ST25R3917 have Mifare License?  ST25R3917 have numerous registers. Would registers value different for different RF communication (Mifare / Felica / CLICC) ?

Hi Team,I want to retain a value of variable after software reset i tried __no_init but variable was resetting to zeroIs there any way i can write into Flash during runtime and fetch it back after resetThanks,Krupashankar

I am using STM32F030F4P6. VREFINT is supposed to be calibrated at 3.3v +/- 10mV and 30 degrees C. In my application the VREFINT calibration value is 1543 meaning the reference voltage is 1.243V (3.3/4096*1543) this is on the high end of the spectrum, but within limits. When using the calbirated VREFINT, I found that my VDDA calculations were stable, but off by a bit over 1%. I have a VDDA/VDD voltage of 3.3013V measured with a calibrated multimeter (I have a DC standard to check calibration) and ambient temperature is 24.3 deg C. Taking the average of 4000 samples from VREFINT with this setup yields a reading of 1527 or 1.230V which is bang-on specification. It is also 1.01% different to the calibrated value. How accurate should I expect the VREFINT calibration value to be? I ask because if factory calibration should be better than this, I need to find out where my design is inaccurate.

I'm getting above error both of the two STM32H735G discovery boards that I have. On both boards ST-Link worked fine for some time until I unplugged the ST-Link USB connection while the MCU was stopped at a breakpoint. Afterwards it seems impossible to get them back to live. As soon as connected it turns on backlight and shows a white display. The reset button seems to have no effect. It is hard to believe that both boards have a similar hardware failure all a sudden.I'm out of ideas, can anybody help?

HiAfter compiling, I get an error: BitmapDatabase.hpp in the TouchGFXConfiguration.cpp file.I checked three times. It repeats itself.Andrzej

Hello!Can a binary created from code for the STM32F767ZIT MCU run in the STM32F777ZIT MCU?Are they 100% pin compatible?Thanks!

I use CubeIDE 1.3.0 and STM32L4 MCU Package 1.15.1. I wanted to setup a demo project for Nucleo-L4R5ZI. these boards route LPUART1 to STLINK debug Uart port. If you enable NVIC for LPUART1, the firmware package creates a faulty IRQ handler. It should pass HLPUART1 to the IRQ handler but it passes HUART1 (which is not used and not initialized) void LPUART1_IRQHandler(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN LPUART1_IRQn 0 */   /* USER CODE END LPUART1_IRQn 0 */ HAL_UART_IRQHandler(&huart1); /* USER CODE BEGIN LPUART1_IRQn 1 */   /* USER CODE END LPUART1_IRQn 1 */ }Workaround:void LPUART1_IRQHandler(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN LPUART1_IRQn 0 */ HAL_UART_IRQHandler(&lphuart1); return;   /* USER CODE END LPUART1_IRQn 0 */ HAL_UART_IRQHandler(&huart1); /* USER CODE BEGIN LPUART1_IRQn 1 */   /* USER CODE END LPUART1_IRQn 1 */ }

The code below shows my current attempt to implement a jump to the bootloader:#define ApplicationAddress 0x1FFFC400   void JumpBootloader(void) { typedef void (*pFunction)(void); // defines function pointer for bootloader jump   /* Set System memory address plus 4 bytes */ uint32_t JumpAddress = *(__IO uint32_t*) (ApplicationAddress + 4);   pFunction Jump_To_Boot = (pFunction) JumpAddress;   // /* Set main stack pointer // * This must be done last otherwise all other variables might get mangled! */ __set_MSP(*(__IO uint32_t*) ApplicationAddress);   Jump_To_Boot(); }When this function is called with the BOOT pin pulled high, the microcontroller correctly restarts into bootloader mode, although admittedly after a slight delay of about a second (Windows connect and disconnect sounds can be heard).When called with the BOOT pin floating/pulled low (note I am using this pin to drive an LED during normal operation), the device disconnects after a small delay a

Hello All...I posted this in the MCU section and got no response so I figured I would ask here.I am new to ST Micro tools and have never used them. My background has been hardware and I have been 'hacking' at code on MSP430FR for a good 10 years. I am used to Code Composer Studio and writing register level C code. This is a complete IDE with compiler, debugger, etc all wrapped up in one, free from TI.I am interested in the new STM32WLE IC's for an upcoming prj.  My question is if I download just the CubeIDE and the CubeProgrammer is this enough to write, compile, link and debug on the STM32WLE? Also for flashing / debugging hardware is the STLINK-V3SET the correct tool?thank you

After an update from cubeMX 6.0.1 to 6.1.0 the user labels have disappeared in pinOut view. Only the function per pin is displayed. Is there an option to make either the user label or the pin function visible?

STM32CubeMX 6.2.0STM32CubeH7 1.9.0STM32H735IGI found a minor bug configuring the ETH section for the STM32H735 in Cube MX. The default RAM adresses for the descriptors and the RX buffer are 0x30040060, 0x30040000 and 0x30040200 which are in the "Reserved" area on this chip series. To change this value to 0x30000000 and onward, checking needs to be disabled on these input fields.In the LwIP section, the value for LWIP_RAM_HEAP_POINTER in the Key Options section also has a wrong default value, but it can be changed without disabling checking.Default values in ETH section Memory map from RM0468 Default values in LWIP sectionEdit: added captions to images

Requesting "VDAC1_OUT2 Channel" on ADC IN18 causes the .ioc file to generate the following line:- sConfig.Channel = ADC_CHANNEL_DAC1CH2_ADC2;which doesn't compile, I think it should be:- sConfig.Channel = ADC_CHANNEL_DAC1CH2;

I followed the Tutorial for the QR Code. It works when you draw just one custom widget. But when i add the same custom widget serveral times in the same Screen or in a custom Container, the code is not able to draw all the custom widgets, it seems that the draw function is interrupted and my QR Code it's not complete. Maybe something about the HAL? Any suggestion?I add my example project in 4.16. Thanks!

The private variable "FLASH_ProcessTypeDef pFlash" in stm32h7xx_hal_flash.c is used in some functions I notice that it is not initialize by any function.So for example the first time a call is made to: FLASH_Program(uint32_t TypeProgram, uint32_t FlashAddress, uint32_t DataAddress)the result of the line is  __HAL_LOCK(&pFlash); is undefined. So it will only work by chance on the first call, successive calls are granted to succeed as  __HAL_UNLOCK(&pFlash); has been called

Good afternoon, I'm trying to use STM32F746ZGTx LQFTP144 for a railway scoreboard.(Commuter train schedule) I have a problem. I ran a BSD project on the Nucleo-144 STM32F746 board from the STM32746G_DISCOVERY examples. I commented out everything except the LCD. Display_Demo Description() Using the oscilloscope, I found that the following outputs of the controller are active.PD9PG12 LCD_B1PG15PG0PD0PD1PH0 OSCPF2PH1 OSCPE4 LCD_B0PA14 SWPE14 LCD_CLKPF13 PD10 LCD_B3PD15PE7PE8PF4PF5PD8This list does not match the description of stm32f745ie. pdf and CubeMX. I hope you can help me figure out which controller pins are actually used to control the LCD. Sincerely, Alexander.

Hi,I found several issues and want to contribute. Please share the ultra light wight API source code for the VL53L1X.Thanks!

Hello,On a STM32L4 design, we no longer have an SWD connection to the processor: using STM32CubeProgrammer reports ST-LINK SN : 39FF6A064243383912381057ST-LINK FW : V2J36S7Voltage : 3.26VSWD freq : 4000 KHzConnect mode: NormalReset mode : Software resetDevice ID : 0x461UPLOADING OPTION BYTES DATA ...Bank : 0x00Address : 0x40022020Size : 20 BytesBank : 0x01Address : 0x40022044Size : 16 BytesUPLOADING ...Size : 1024 BytesAddress : 0x8000000Read progress:Error: Data read failedSWD works fine in the design in general, also also ran on this particular device. An idea what is missing?Or to put it the other way round: what do we need for a running SWD? Supply, connection to the SWD pins of course, but what further? IMHO we don't need running CPU core or clocking on it for example....Thank youRalph
