LSM6DSO vs LSM6DSOX

Is the only difference between the two that LSM6DSOX has the machine-learning core (MLC)?

In other words, are the 2 parts interchangeable when the MLC is not used?

Hi @Andrew Neil ,

basically yes, if you don't mind the MLC feature the two part numbers are interchangeable.

Great - thanks.

So, if you have an existing design with LSM6DSO, you could just drop-in an LSM6DSOX to gain the MLC features?

In fact, I have an X-NUCLEO-IKS01A3 (with LSM6DSO) - so I could use that to get started, and just add MLC stuff later when/if I move to LSM6DSOX ?

A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked.A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be patched up to make it work.

Yes, that's right, you can take a STEVAL-MKI197V1 and plug it on the DIL24 connector of the X-NUCLEO-IKS01A3 (without un-soldering previous LSM6DSO).
