I am trying to get wake-up from HALT mode working on the STM8L151 using the RTC, but without success. I tried two approaches:using the RTC wake-up counter to wake the device after 10 seconds andusing the RTC alarm to wake it up every minute.Neither approach was successful — once the MCU enters sleep, it no longer wakes up. I have the feeling that the issue is not so much directly in main and in the CLK + RTC configuration, but rather in the ISR, IQR handling setup. At this point, however, I’m not sure what to add, what to check, or in which files (stm8_interrupt_vector.c, stm8l15x_itc.c,....).I would be very grateful if someone could advise me on what belongs where, so that I can understand the entire interrupt chain and which additional files in the Inc directory need to be adjusted. In parallel, I also have several related follow-up questions:I am using STM8L15x_StdPeriph_Driver (downloaded from ST as STSW-STM8016 version 1.6.2) — is this version up to date?In the examples, there are

I am developing with STM32CubeMX and generating initialization code for an STM32N6 device. In my FSBL (First Stage Boot Loader), I use USART10 to connect to the ST-LINK V3’s Virtual COM Port (VCP). However, it seems that CubeMX does not correctly generate the peripheral clock initialization code for USART10.After a series of investigations, I found that when generating USART10’s clock initialization code, only the kernel clock for USART10 is set to IC14, but the PLL source and divider for IC14 are missing. This happens with both LL and HAL libraries. For USART6, there is no such problem — its clock configuration is generated correctly. This behavior is very strange. During debugging, I also encountered an issue where PLL2 was not initialized, but that problem disappeared later. To work around this, I manually added IC14 configuration code for USART10 following the pattern used for USART6, setting IC14 = 96 MHz. After that, USART10 worked normally at the maximum baud rate of 12 Mbps.Has a

So as the title suggests, I have been trying to get the LCD screen to work on the STM32F469i-DISCO board. Currently I just want it to turn on at all. I found the BSP drivers in this link as well as the OTM8009A drivers in this other link  When I run the code however, it gives me the following error:../Drivers/BSP/STM32469I-Discovery/stm32469i_discovery_lcd.c:402:5: error: too few arguments to function 'OTM8009A_Init'402 | OTM8009A_Init(OTM8009A_FORMAT_RGB565, orientation); I noticed that the function prototype for that function is int32_t OTM8009A_Init(OTM8009A_Object_t *pObj, uint32_t ColorCoding, uint32_t Orientation);so I am not sure why the lcd drivers call the function in that way. Are there better/newer drivers that I should be using instead?

We are operating ASM330LHH with ODR set at 3333Hz, but the actual measured output is about 3570Hz.This is not stated in the specifications, but is this within the range of the specifications?

When using stm32n6 and enabling both GFX and AI models, the runtime continuously reports errors:"Epoch controller error interrupt: EC_IRQ = 0x00000008 Epoch controller opcode counter: 0x00000000 Epoch controller tag: 0x00000000 ATON_STD_IRQHandler()@851: irqs=0xlx Assertion '0' failed: file 'E:/TouchGFXProjects/AR_Glasses/Middlewares/AI_Runtime/Npu/ll_aton/ll_aton_runtime.c', line 855, function: __LL_ATON_RT_IrqErr"What could be the possible cause of this? Is it related to the XSPI2 bus? both GFX and cubeAI utilize XSP2.The model used is the official demo program: st_yolo_x_nano_480_1.0_0.25_3_st_int8.tflite from STM32N6-GettingStarted-ObjectDetection-main.I sincerely hope that st can help me solve this problem. Thanks

I want to use DMA with SPI in slave receive mode with words longer than 8 bits :I launch the DMA with the function: HAL_SPI_Receive_DMA( &HSPI_ADS, (uint8_t*)ads_dma_buffer, ADS_BUFFER_MAX_SIZE );Unfortunately in this function the following test fails:  /* Packing mode management is enabled by the DMA settings */ if (((hspi->Init.DataSize > SPI_DATASIZE_16BIT) && (hspi->hdmarx->Init.DestDataWidth != DMA_DEST_DATAWIDTH_WORD) && \ (IS_SPI_FULL_INSTANCE(hspi->Instance))) || \ ((hspi->Init.DataSize > SPI_DATASIZE_8BIT) && (hspi->hdmarx->Init.DestDataWidth == DMA_DEST_DATAWIDTH_BYTE))) { /* Restriction the DMA data received is not allowed in this mode */ errorcode = HAL_ERROR; __HAL_UNLOCK(hspi); return errorcode; } Because the structure "hspi->hdmarx->Init" is never initialized. It is not initialized, but the structure associated with the nodes is indeed initialized. In the case where the data size is 8 bits, the test i

HiI have been messing around with VL53L4CD for the last few months, and I recently realized that my readings differ significantly, depending on the target color/texture.Here is my setup: The sensor is set on its side, and directly in front of it, at the 20cm mark, I place a few different gray-level cardboard boxes, ranging from black to white, mostly gloss-textured.The sensor readings vary by about 10mm (222 shortest, 233 longest) depending on the box.Performing offset calibration helps to have an accurate reading on a gray target, but the error persists for other colors.I have tried performing cross-talk calibration, although I don't have a cover glass for this test, but that doesn't seem to help either. My question is - do we have to know the target reflectivity in advance and calibrate for it? Am I wrong to expect more consistent readings against various targets? Thanks!

ST‑LINK Mini V3E not detecting STM32H7 (Core ID error, high current when VTARGET connected)I’m debugging an issue with a custom STM32H7 board and an ST‑LINK Mini V3E. The setup includes a main PCB and a separate power PCB. So far:Power & Basic Checks3.3 V and 24 V rails are correct.Board current consumption is low when powered from either an 8 V or 24 V supply.Connections between the ST‑LINK Mini V3E and the main PCB have been verified.ProblemWhen I connect VTARGET from the ST‑LINK to the board’s 3.3 V rail, the current spikes and something starts to smell hot.STM32CubeProgrammer shows no target voltage, no device ID, and fails to read the core ID.The ST‑LINK is detected by the PC normally.Additional TestsTried a second main PCB and a different ST‑LINK Mini V3E, powering only through the ST‑LINK (no external supply). Same result: STM32CubeProgrammer cannot detect the STM32H7.I’m aware that VTARGET on the Mini V3E is an input, so I’ve tied it to the board’s 3.3 V rail as required.Ne

Dear sirs. I'm connecting an ISM330DHCX with an IIS2MDC and I need to know if the connections scheme is okay to operate in MODE 2Then I need to know if pullups are needed for i2c bus coming from SCx and SDx, and if pulldowns are required for INT lines as in the provided schematic.I'm based on the ISM330DHCX and IIS2MDC datasheets and X-NUCLEO-IKS02A1 board manualThe routing jumpers are there just in case we need to route one magnetometer to tha main I2C bus Thanks in advanceIgnacio

Hello.I'm working on setting up a brand new Nucleo STM32U5A5Z development board and have some issues. My project is a completely bare-bones default with no security or BSP enabled. The application fails in SystemClock_Config() and enters the error handler. The issue seems to be related to the HSE as SystemClock_Config returns HAL_TIMEOUT here: /* Check the HSE State */ if (pRCC_OscInitStruct->HSEState != RCC_HSE_OFF) { tickstart = HAL_GetTick(); /* Wait till HSE is ready */ while (READ_BIT(RCC->CR, RCC_CR_HSERDY) == 0U) { if ((HAL_GetTick() - tickstart) > HSE_TIMEOUT_VALUE) { return HAL_TIMEOUT; } } }Thanks!

Hi, I'm trying to implement USBPD EPR Source with DisplayPort Alt Mode on a STM32G071. I use the latest https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/stm32-mw-usbpd-core, which seems to support EPR, but I couldn't find any complete examples with a working EPR source. Now I successfully enter EPR mode, and Sink receives EPR PDOs, but can't negotiate any PDO except the 1st. Even SPR PDOs The stack sends REJECT after PE_SRC_NEGOTIATE_CAPABILITY. It works perfectly in SPR mode and can switch between PDOs, but fails the same PDO in EPR mode 1st PDO in EPR mode ACCEPT: 2nd PDO REJECT: How can I debug these things inside the stack? What am I missing? Spoiler (Highlight to read)uint32_t PORT0_PDO_ListSRC[USBPD_MAX_NB_PDO] = { /* PDO 1 */ ( USBPD_PDO_TYPE_FIXED | /* Fixed supply PDO */ USBPD_PDO_SRC_FIXED_SET_VOLTAGE(5000U) | /* Voltage in mV */ USBPD_PDO_SRC_FIXED_SET_MAX_CURRENT(1000U) | /* Max current in mA */ USBPD_PDO_SRC_FIXED_PEAKCURRENT_EQUAL | /* Peak Current info */

Hello,We have procured a STM32U5G9J-DK1 discovery kit. We are in need of the default pre-loaded program that comes with the kit as this will help us to understand how to use Touch display and its other features. We see that this pre-loaded program is not available in the repository downloaded for STM32U5G. Therefore, request you to kindly share it here. With regard,Sudarshan Chaudhary

Hi , I have designed one product with STM32WB55 for BLE and Zigbee concurrency. The schematic design I have followed is the with out SMPS design (LDO mode). VFBSMPS, VLXSMPS, VDDSMPS pins are connected to VDD. Our firmware will scan for BLE devices and it works in Nucleo development board. But not functional in our custom board. With our board it is able to connect upto 4 devices only, but the same firmware can handle up to 18 devices in development board. What will be the reasons for this ?

Hi,I’m working on STM32MP257F-DK (A35 + M33) using OpenAMP + RPMsg over IPCC and facing an issue with RPMsg endpoint creation on the M33 side.GoalSimple use case:Linux (A35) sends "START" / "STOP"M33 receives the message via RPMsgM33 toggles an LEDWhat is workingM33 firmware builds and boots correctly using remoteprocResource table is detectedVirtio RPMsg is created on Linux From Linux dmesg:virtio_rpmsg_bus virtio0: rpmsg host is online remoteproc remoteproc0: remote processor m33 is now upSo remoteproc and OpenAMP transport are working.ProblemWith the following M33 code, RPMsg endpoint is not getting created on Linux side:int rpmsg_recv_callback(struct rpmsg_endpoint *ept, void *data, size_t len, uint32_t src, void *priv) { if (len >= 5 && strncmp((char *)data, "START", 5) == 0) { led_run = 1; } else if (len >= 4 && strncmp((char *)data, "STOP", 4) == 0) { led_run = 0; HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOZ, GPIO_PIN_0, GPIO_PIN_RESET); } return 0; } stru

Hi,I'm using the NUCLEO-U083RC board.I wish to use the TOUCHSENSE library on STM32U083 (or STM32U073) that has the TSC, but STM32CUBEMX 6.16.1 doesn't allow me to enable it.Why ?

I am using STM32CubeMX 6.16.1 to generate project with external Flash loader for STM32N6. When I generate for STM32CubeIDE and build the extmemloader then STM32CubeProgrammer can parse it (the .elf renamed to .stldr). But when I generate CMake project and build with vscode (with STM32 extensions) then STM32CubeProgrammer fails to parse. Compiler/linker removes the StorageInfo structure from output completely. I fooled it to keep it. Now it doesn't fail immediately, but still can't parse any info either. Here's the CubeProgrammer EL list view. First is vscode built loader, second is Eclipse built:I compared the ELF files, Map files, compiler and linker flags. There are plenty of differences and I haven't figured out what exactly causes it. I changed the flags but nothing helped. I noticed vscode uses GCC 14 and STM32CubeIDE uses GCC 13 but tricking vscode to use GCC 13 didn't solve it either.

Hi,Today I have downloaded STM32IDE. I am trying to develop some projects with my NUCLEO F401RE. I have tried that create a new file from this way but program does not create any .ioc file. Can you help me?Thank you.

I have ordered NUCLEO-G491R to test STANDBY mode power consumption. The power consumption measurements are taken via the PPK2 from Nordic.https://www.nordicsemi.com/Products/Development-hardware/Power-Profiler-Kit-2The steps:1. Take STM32CubeMX example project PWR_SHUTDOWN that is available for the Nucleo board.2. Program the board (ensure the JP5 jumper is at the 5V_STLK position)3. Remove the JP5 jumper because we will be powering the board via the external 3V3 (PPK2) 4. Connect the PPK2 to 3V3 and GND on the board. 5. Start samplingSee the results below:When the device enters STANDBY, the current consumption is measured at about 1.5mA which is way above what is declared on the datasheet. What could be the reason that I cant achieve the declared current consumption for the STANDBY mode via the official example project? I am convinced that measurements of the PPK2 are valid as I have used this board in the past to measure very low currents and it was showing reasona

Hello Sir,I urgently want to have an idea whether due to the change of LCD from HT043C KunJjian to RK043FN48H-CT672B Rocktech in 32F746GDISCOVERY Board, is there any changes in the firmware due to this?I would like to request for early response from your team, thanks for your support in advance.Note: From the post only I got a point that RK043FN48H-CT672B Rocktech changed from HT043C KunJjian, 32F746GDISCOVERY B02 and C01 - what's the differen... - STMicroelectronics CommunityBest RegardsSushant Verma

Good day,I've been working for a little on this and can't wrap my head around what the issue is, so figured I'd post here. As a start I'm doing a graduation project from a computer science education and am working on a project that requires a high speed usb to be implemented on a nucleo h755ziq. There are other pieces in play, but those have been disconnected to try and get this one part to work. To make this work I have the nucleo board and a usb3300. This usb3300 has been put on a board and connects to pins placed on the nucleo. I have quadrouple checked the pins and they are all correct. In CUBEMX I setup the USB_OTG_HS external PHY to device mode, as ill be using it as a device which will be detected by an application later in development. I have also set the middleware up for Virtual Com Port as shown below. My pinout is also setup correctly, but for the sake of detail here is the pinout.I have set up the clock for the stm to 192MHZ due to the other components that will b

Not always, but sometimes syscalls.c file is removed upon generating code for X-CUBE-AI middleware.I'm using STM32N6570-DK board and the version of STM32CubeMX is 6.16.1 for Windows 11.

I downloaded CubeMX and I followed the instructions on the attached Readme.html.I run it by ctrl-click and then select Open to mark the author as trusted, but then nothing happens. Does anyone encountered the same problem? How did you solve it?

I am having an issue where, when I read the values of the registers continuously, it seems as if the values of the current and power registers have been swapped. After startup, I send the following configuration via i2c:Configuration register write 0x8000 -> to reset the ICConfiguration register write: 0x0037 To continuously measure all values with a period of 1024 ms.Shunt register write: 0x080b -> 0.03 OhmMask register write: 0x0200 -> To enable conversion ready interrupt. Then, when the conversion ready interrupt comes, I read the registers from 1 to 5 at once. From the values read, it appears that the value of register 3 is the current and the value of register 4 is the power. (It looks like they position swapped.)Another interesting fact is that the data read from the power register is exactly half of the actual value. Has anyone else encountered this problem? What could be the cause? Am I overlooking something? Thank you for the support!

Hello,I am designing a board with an STM32H755ZIT6 and want to verify whether my power architecture is safe.Power architecture:Battery inputTwo buck converters:3.3 V buck → MCU VDD5 V buck → LDO + voltage reference → VDDA and VREF+Operating case:For a certain battery voltage range:3.3 V buck is enabled5 V buck is disabledResult:VDD = 3.3 VVDDA and VREF+ = 0 VRelevant datasheet sections:Power supply management (3.5):When VDD > 1 V, all power supplies are independent (except VDDSMPS).Absolute maximum ratings (6.2):“All main power (VDD, VDDA, VDD33USB, VDDSMPS, VBAT) pins must always be connected to the external power supply, in the permitted range.”All conditions appear to be met, but I want to make sure I’m not missing anything, especially since I remember other STM32 families where powering VDD without VDDA is problematic.Question:Is it safe and within spec on the STM32H755 to have VDD powered while VDDA/VREF+ are unpowered, assuming no analog peripherals are used?I would like to co
