We are trying to implement a KSZ8041FTL in an embedded design. We are using an STM32MP157 device in a SOC provided by Octavo systems (OSD32MP157C-512M-BAA). We have used design resources provided by Microchip and followed examples provided. We have followed resources provided by STMicro to configure the pin connections and device tree for the PHY. We are not able to connect to the device via MDIO. The device does not respond. The resulting output on the Linux kernel log indicates that MDIO device at address 3 is missing. We have the device strapped to address 1. We see MDC and MDIO activity when the device is being probed but it always reports device missing at address 3. There is no response from the PHY. We have verified the presence of the 50Mhz ref to the PHY and monitored the reset line, configuration pins, and address pins. Nothing appears wrong. What are we missing?

After Completion of build with STM32CubeIDE in headless build mode,Is there an automated scrit that we can use STM32CubeProgrammer to program the binary to the STM32 board ?.

Dear members,I'm working on an adapter project using the USB PD library to connect a NUCLEO-DRP1M1 and a SINK1M1 to an STM32G0C1-EV. The connection is a wire.I have already ported from the manual and the sample program, and implemented USBPD_DPM_TimerCounter() and osSystickHandler() to HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback().When the Power Bank is connected to the evaluation board, it is confirmed that power negotiation is performed and voltage is supplied.I then tried a test program that calls PowerRoleSwap() when the button is pressed, but depending on the target to be connected, the messages are not sent. When I connected my Power Bank and pressed its button, the PR_SWAP message was sent as expected. (Of course, that request was denied by Power Bank.)But, when I connected a smartphone and pressed the button, no PR_SWAP was sent. What are the conditions for the USB PD stack to emit PR_SWAP?For Smartphones0 EVENT 5636596 1 EVENT_ATTACHED1 DEBUG 5636596 1 VBUS:5085, CC:22 SRC 5636755 1 SRC_CAP

I want to enable backup domain of STM32F103C8 but I cannot find the BKP option in .IOC file in CubeIDEplease advice thank you

Hi,We have an ST25DV04K NFC tag which is being used to communicate to a host microcontroller from a mobile app and we're having trouble with FTM after booting up the host device from the app. We're starting up the host from this app by pulsing the GPO line. Unfortunately, the maximum interrupt time is too short so we're generating a pulse with the Manage GPO command; set, wait 1ms, reset. This works great.Once the device boots up, it then configures the tag to disallow RF from controlling the GPO with the Manage GPO command (by setting RF_USER_EN to 0 in GPO register). Then, we need to send some data to the host via FTM. So we enable the mailbox and write our data. On the host side, we see the interrupt, check the IT_STS_Dyn register for RF_PUT_MSG, then read the data, calculate the CRC, then write that back to the mailbox. This is where there's an issue. The mobile app is now polling the MB_CTRL_Dyn register for HOST_PUT_MSG. However, that never happens. Even stranger, if we move the pho

Hello community! In the project I'm working on, after the UART communication, I need to configure the USB to be able to read a txt file, creat or write another txt file and to update the frimware. I'm asking you if there is any source that shows how to do this kind of things. If not, I would like to start reading the txt file in the usb.I'm using HAL library, FATFS and USB_HOST only with MSCThanks for your help!

I'm prototyping a project, and im struggling to get USB HID working on the Nucleo F303RE board. I've connected an external micro-usb breakout board to the nucleo via the PA12 & PA11 pins as configured in the CubeIDE. However running the most basic usb hid device configuration, i see no USB device connect to my PC. I have run the exact same test on a Nucleo F042K6, and it works just fine. So i dont know whats wrong with the F303RE board. I checked schematics and both are similar for the usb pins. Also both clocks have 48Mhz on the USB. So that should be fine.Anyone have any ideas why it doesnt work?

is it possible to use 'STM32CubeMonitor-RF' by stm32fxxx series with a Bluetooth module to analyze data?tanx

Hi,I am trying to activate LSE in a project with STM32WLE5CCU6, the pins PC14 and PC15 are activated, but in the window with clock tree, the RTC clock mux does not alow me to select LSE (it is locked on LSI). This happens even if all other pins are unused. I am using CubeMX version 6.3.0.Does anybody encounter this problem? I am doing something wrong? Can anyone check?Thank you

My Partner has an hardware, which only communicate over USB (FTDI) with other hardware platforms. At the moment there is no possibilty to change the hardware.Unfortunately I have to write the USB Host with my STM32H7A3ZI. My first steps was to use the generated code from CubeMX. My Host get the Device Describtion and Configuration but there is no chance of communication between the host and devices. It always ends in the HOST_ABORT_STATE.Does somebody has an idea?

Hello ST friends!I'm implementing a dimmable light profile on a STM32WB55, so I need to implement the Scenes cluster. However, when allocating the ScenesServer, I cannot register any callbacks. How do I receive the Scenes Server commands on my application? For example, the OnOffServer allocation looks like this (includes a pointer to callbacks):struct ZbZclClusterT * ZbZclOnOffServerAlloc(struct ZigBeeT *zb, uint8_t endpoint, struct ZbZclOnOffServerCallbacksT *callbacks, void *arg); On the other hand, the ScenesServer allocation looks like this (no callback pointer...)struct ZbZclClusterT * ZbZclScenesServerAlloc(struct ZigBeeT *zb, uint8_t endpoint, uint8_t maxScenes); Is it all handled by the ZigBee stack itself and I will receive the callbacks to the OnOff cluster? I will try to test this next, but for this, I will need to implement the ScenesClient first...Any clues are appreciated.

The ST-Link LEDs are very dimly lit when powered...they are much brighter on my STM32MP157F-DK2 board. I suspect some hardware problem with the MPU board. Also, the CPU LEDs do appear to be running (the Linux Blue LED blinks after a while, and with the SD Card removed the Red LED blinks as in DFU mode). Just not sure why there is no display (no backlight) and no ST-Link function.

As per the UM2435 NUCLEO-WB55RG board has only one I2C- I2C1 and SPI-SPI1But in STM32CubeMX configuration for the same board it has two I2C: I2C1 and I2C32 SPI: SPI1 and SPI2.Can you please provide more information on this? Thanks!

when I use powerstep01_target_config generated by  SPINFamily tool on 401re the speed profile run 10 times faster that it runs on SPINFamily tool. I also change sys clock speed but no luck. please let me know if there is a solution to my problem.and also is there any source code or example of this file Guifw-STM32F4xx-Nucleo.binthanks

Hello, maybe I found a bug in CubeMX.Actually it is not possible for me to generate Code for the DualCore derivates to get AzureRTOS active on BOTH cores. After activating a new project with AzureRTOS selected for both cores, all of the port-*.c and *.h files are removed after further changes in GUI with new code generation. This bug is very annoying, because using dualCore Azure an each Core is not usable in fact.bestRegardsAlexander

Hi,Some feedback for ST on the latest motor control MCSDK_v5.Y.3: Within files mcptl.h and aspep.c, bad practice to name an enumerated constant 'free', as of course conflicts with stdlib.h free function. We include stdlib.h for a few standard functions, though not free. Anyway, the duplicate name use causes a compilation error, that was not present with MCSDK_v5.4.5. Our workaround: Within the two mentioned files, rename free to free_ (one place in mcptl.h, three places in aspep.c)Also, while writing, ST, do you have some documentation about the ASPEP protocol? A quick google yielded none, though I see someone else requested, two months back. Presently, we are using the published information about the 5.4.5 Motor Control Protocol, to communicate with a device other than the workbench. To use 5.Y.3, we would need to changeover our device comms to use ASPEP. I'll take a guess at what that stands for. Is it Advanced Serial Private Embedded Protocol?Mods, if moving parts of a thread to a m

Hi, I've just managed to get 4.18 to show into STM32CubeIDE and fairly happy about that. However quite shattered to find out that some of the same 4.17 bugs remains... among a new one that is new to me (Videos.s). All in all, the default generated code does not compile and consequently makes TouchGFX unusable. Quite unfortunate.Anybody had any luck getting around the now old 'touchgfx_init' and 'touchgfx_taskentry' bugs?ps. the videos.s bug (1st screenshot) can somehow be fixed by simply deleting the entry from the resource tree.

Hello to everyone. I am trying to develop an application on Lora on the NUCLEO WL5 series development board. But I could not debug the board via CubeMx. I am trying to use external debugger but I still have mcu not found problem. Can anyone tell me how to make ST_LINK debugger connections with WL5?

Hi all,The MCU we will be using is in the STM32U5 Family. The debug probe will be the SEGGER J-Link Base.Best regards,Bastien

Hi,With supply issues currently, I have been working on 3 different micro controllers of the same family, STM32F4xx. I am trying to contain the hardware specific code in their own projects, 3 each for the processors. But I have common code that is used for all 3.Now to solve this I have created a custom STM32 project that is setup to be a static library. This will contain all the common code. This builds fine and outputs a .a file, and the main project links to the library okay. But the problem comes during the linking stage and gives me undefined references to functions in the library. In the main project settings -> C/C++ Build -> settings and in the Tool Setting tab, under MCU GCC Linker -> Libraries I have linked the library to allow the .a file to be found and linked to. I was wondering if anyone else has been able to successfully create a static library and compile and link to it without having any undefined references?

The reference manual of the STM32U575xx gives the flash configuration in `Table 44. Flash module 2-Mbyte dual bank organization` but this only takes into account the 2MByte flash size.We use the STM32U575CG which only has 1MByte.Is it still dual bank with 64 pages of 8KB per bank?Or does it only have 1 bank with 128 pages of 8KB?Or has it 2 banks with 128 pages of 4KB?

We are using ST25RU3993 IC with STM32L476 MCU. We are using the same SDK Provided by ST. But after giving the command of Start Scan in GUI(ST25RU3993 Reader Suit), we are not able to read tags. We also checked the signal on PAOUT_P and PAOUT_N through VNA. But it does not show any signal on that pins. We have designed our own PCB board as per reference provided by ST. We also debug the code using ST-Link and in st25ru3993initialize() function there is SPI connection error. But we have checked using multimeter the connection between STM32L476 and ST25RU3993 IC (SPI lines) is ok. We are using internal PA in this. Kindly help us in this problem.

Since I'm not allowed to work with Motor control library, I need to generate the output signals for EVALSTDRIVE101 on my own. Apparently it does not work when I put PWM signals on INx and 3.3V on ENx. (Of course I selected mode INx/ENx). From what I read in the datasheet, this should be exactly what I need to do, enable all the half bridges ENx by putting 3.3V and then feeding the PWM signals on IN_U, IN_V and IN_W, which correspond to the voltages for each phase. Subsequently STDRIVE101 is generating the signals GLSx and GHSx in the correct way. What am I missing? In MCSDK I can only find examples where INxH/INxL is enabled. I try to do pattern matching, but there is no examble for ENx/INx mode of the STDRIVE101.
