Hello,I'm writing a basic program that prints something over and over through VCOM port on USB-OTG, on a STWINKT1 board.This board uses a STM32L4R9ZIJ6 MCU, so I followed this guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLnQ3W8gmjY (and many others).The problem is that the PC doesn't see the board at all. The board doesn't show up as COM nor as "unrecognised device".I can't understand what I'm doing wrong, how can I make it to work?Thanks and have a nice day,SF

Hello everyone!I got LSM6DSO on my custom board with stm32l4 MCU, I only use I2C interface (that i don't use interrupt). I'm using LSM6DSO free fall example code in STMems standard C drivers, I can get the id of LSM6DSO so i think the I2C interface is working fine, I have tried doing some free fall test (drop it from my hand) but the FF_IA in WAKE_UP_SRC kept staying 0) so the free fall can't be detected.Can anyone help me?

Can anyone share related docs

Hi, last time I ported an Azure RTOS project there were only a handful of BSPs so I had to do some manual fiddling around to get it running on a nucleo board. Now that there is full support for H7 processors in the 2.0 package I'm wondering what the best steps to move a project over would be. I imagine I can start a new project in CubeMX and then "import" the ioc file, generate the base project and then copy in the source code - but wondering if there is a cleaner way of doing it.TIA, Oliver

Hello,we are working on the ST32MP1. The SPI3 works fine with the CubeMX software combining the DMA2 and FIFO when the board works in engineering mode. But if I perform the same software loaded by Linux (rproc start), the DMA2 SPI stream stops working, if I use the function HAL_SPI_Transmit_DMA() instead of using HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA(). If for example the amount of bytes to be tranferred is larger than 33, the DMA stops with this number of bytes in NDTR DMA register. In engineering mode, this works fine with the same setting. I tested a lot (linker, stack, memory, FIFO on/off...) without any idea, why on M4 only mode, all is working fine. Furthermore, if I take 30 bytes, the first amount of data is transmitted by DMA and then the SPI_ISR is inoved around 15 times to send the rest of the data ... With 40 bytes, the DMA IRQ comes ones but after around 15 bytes and the SPI IRQ is not invoked.Somehow curious but actually, I have no idea what is going wrong using tranmit only in prod

Hi,I have spent three days trying to put some real-time FIR filters into ITCM to speed things up.I have been able to allocate the functions, copy the code from flash to ITCM in the start-up file, but when I run the system the ITCM memory gets changed for no apparent reason. If I single step through the parts where the ITCM memory changes, it doesn't change. The functions work the first time through, but as the code is corrupted processor registers aren't initialized properly so I get hard faults.The only working example I can find is one ported to Keil uVision which uses scatter files, much easier than that abominable gcc linker script.I would post the results of my efforts, but that will take another day and I'm fed up with it.I would just love to see a working example developed under STM32CubeIDE.My functions are simple, self contained no input parameters. It shouldn't be hard. It isn't with uVision.Can anyone help?Best regards Rob

On DK2, using devmem2 on linux I read that GPIOH->MODER/ODR (0x50009000/0x50009014) are all zeroes. The same for GPIOA. OTOH some other things can be read out like RTC clock settings. Is there a way to read the GPIO registers?

Hello,I have an issue with USB CDC in my project. it worked flowless till I tried to send faster. Fisrt I was using :CDC_Transmit_HS((uint8_t *)pSendBuffer , length); without pb at all.But if I send with a higer data rate the TxState are continiously busy here:uint8_t CDC_Transmit_HS(uint8_t* Buf, uint16_t Len) { uint8_t result = USBD_OK; /* USER CODE BEGIN 12 */ USBD_CDC_HandleTypeDef *hcdc = (USBD_CDC_HandleTypeDef*)hUsbDeviceHS.pClassData; if (hcdc->TxState != 0){ return USBD_BUSY; }I found some other implementation with a while loop to wait until the frame has been sent, like this : len = sizeof(UserTxBufferHS); for (i = 0; i < _Len / len; i++) { memcpy(UserTxBufferHS, _Buf, len); USBD_CDC_SetTxBuffer(&hUsbDeviceHS, UserTxBufferHS, len);   while (1) { re = USBD_CDC_TransmitPacket(&hUsbDeviceHS); if (re == USBD_OK) { break; } else if (re == USBD_BUSY) { continue; } else if (re == USBD_FAIL) { break; } } _Buf += len; }But I stay stuck in the

Hi I cannot understand why my opt.h file cannot see the lwipopts.h file in the same folder.Presumably, it must be something to do with the 'Wno-stringop-overflow' warning.This contains a very long string - -mcpu=cortex-m7 -std=gnu11 -g3 -DUSE_HAL_DRIVER -DSTM32H743xxDUSE_STM32H7XX_NUCLEO_144_MB1364 -c -I../../../Src -I"D:/halfcontainer/projects/cubeideN/LwIP_HTTP_Server_Netconn_RTOS/SW4STM32/STM32H743ZI_Nucleo/Middlewares/LwIP" -I../../../Drivers.......+ about 200 chars-Can anyone tell me how to find out whats happening?Trying to look back at sys_arch.c is a bit frightening! Hi,I have multiple projects that use the same code but use different processors (STM32F4xx). To try and solve the common code problem I have created a static library, this has the HAL driver code inside and the main applications for each processor link to this library. Now for some reason I2C and SPI do not initialise correctly. For example I2C, it will get into the HAL_I2C_Init function, but when it tries to set the struct attribute 'instance' it always gets set to 0. The value that it should be set to is 788 but it never works. I have tried to set it when in debug mode but it always goes back to 0.I know this code work fine as before I separated out the code into a library, it worked fine with no problems when it was all in one project. The struct 'instance' attribute would be set correctly. Has anyone had any success in separating out the HAL library into a static library? and have I2C or SPI etc working?

Hello,In my application, I must place the MEMS in the bottom layer. When looking from top layer, the pin mark is in the upper right as shown below. What would be correct string for gyro and accelerometer into X-CUBE-MEMS algorithms? Thanks.

My CubeMX Setup: DMA:ADC:ADC NVIC:After I had done this, I generated theCode and Started the ADC and the DMA with the HAL_ADC_Start_DMA function. Thefunction Started the ADC as I wanted, but the Registers of the DMA are not setCorrectly.The DMA register, which is not set correctly:I assumed that the CIRC and the MINC bit should be set, and also the PSIZE should be 0x01 and MSIZE 0x02. Have I done something wrong or what is happening?If you need some more Information, just say it and I will upload it as fast as possible.

Hello, I'm designing a board based on STM32MP1 and it's my first time using QUADSPI.I need to boot on a NorFlash (MLO + U-boot), and my Linux filesystem will be on a NandFlash.Those constraint come from the fact that on my previous system (based on a TI MPU), I was using a NorFlash in classic SPI and NandFlash with a parallel bus. I need and I want to keep this "organization".I was wondering if it was possible to put then both on QUADSPI using the reference design shown in AN5031 Figure 40 (page 65) : https://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/dm00389996-getting-started-with-stm32mp1-series-hardware-development-stmicroelectronics.pdfAre there any recommendations to achieve this? Have you already tried this configuration (NorFlash and NandFlash on QUADSPI) ?If I'm right, as I will be booting from the NorFlash, I need to put in on the bank 1.For information, when kernel will be running (so from NandFlash), access to the NorFlash will be very limited, no to say very rare.Thanks

Hi SirI'm a beginner of STM32. I get a STM32F429-Discovery and try to use STM32CubeIDE to start my journey. But I have a problem to import the example. I follow other people's question and import the example by "Projects from Folder or Archive. But in the Run configurations page I still can't start the running because "Unsupported build configuration. MCU ARM GCC required for debug". Do you know how to make it work?I guess your examples are programmed by other IDE tool. It is hard to get the GPIO setting for new people. Do you have real STM32CubeIDE example database. I try to enable LTDC feature. Even I copy the code from example but i still don't know how to setup .ioc file.If you can give me a favor it will help me a lot.Thanks

We are planning to use STM32G071 in our next project.We would like to have 9V@3A in PDO1.So we edited the PDO1 data in the usbpd_pdo_defs.h file as follows.[0x0202D12C]00 0 0 0 0 1 00 000 0010110100 0100101100Bit Description Applied value[31,30] Fixed supply 00b[29] Dual-role power 0b[28] Higher capability 0b[27] Unconstrained power 0b[26] USB communication capable 0b[25] Dual-role data 1b[24,23] Value 00b[22-20] Reserved 000b[19-10] Voltage 0010110100b[9-0] Current 0100101100bHowever, only 5v output has been confirmed.Where should we fixed?

I recently had to look at the SVD file for STM32F2 series chips, and found that the STM32F215.svd file contains entries for Ethernet and DCMI peripherals, even though that's the discriminating feature between them and the STM32F2x7 chips that they don't have Ethernet and DCMI. Why is this? Is there some reason for this I'm missing, or is it a mistake?

I try to find the schematic, but I only see the gerber files on ST web site (CAD ressources)Regards,

Hello,I wonder, is it possible to receive more than one char (1 byte) at the time? For now I can only receive one in one message, i can't find the solution to receive more. Here is my code:/**usbd_cdc_if.c**/ static int8_t CDC_Receive_FS(uint8_t* Buf, uint32_t *Len) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 6 */ USBD_CDC_SetRxBuffer(&hUsbDeviceFS, &Buf[0]); USBD_CDC_ReceivePacket(&hUsbDeviceFS);   extern uint8_t received_buffor[64]; extern uint8_t received_flag;   for(int i = 0; i < 64; i++){ received_buffor[i] = 0; }   strlcpy(received_buffor, Buf, (*Len) + 1);   received_flag = 1;   return (USBD_OK); /* USER CODE END 6 */ }   /**main.c**/ uint8_t received_buffor[64]; uint8_t send_buffor[64]; uint8_t received_flag = 0; uint8_t len;   int main(void) { while (1) { if(received_flag == 1){ received_flag = 0;   len = sprintf(send_buffor, "Received: %s\n\r", received_buffor); CDC_Transmit_FS(send_buffor, len); } }Thanks in advance

I'm reading a temperature sensor (TC77) via SPI, with the following code (using the old StdPeriph lib):int16_t hdw_tc77_getTempRegister(void) { int16_t tempRegister; /*TC77 TEMP register*/ SPI_InitTypeDef SPI_InitStructure;   /*SPI config and init*/ SPI_StructInit(&SPI_InitStructure); PFM_SPI_A_CLK_INIT(PFM_SPI_A_CLK, ENABLE); SPI_CalculateCRC(PFM_SPI_A, DISABLE); SPI_I2S_DeInit(PFM_SPI_A); SPI_InitStructure.SPI_Direction = SPI_Direction_1Line_Rx; SPI_InitStructure.SPI_DataSize = SPI_DataSize_16b; SPI_InitStructure.SPI_CPOL = SPI_CPOL_Low; SPI_InitStructure.SPI_CPHA = SPI_CPHA_1Edge; SPI_InitStructure.SPI_NSS = SPI_NSS_Soft; SPI_InitStructure.SPI_BaudRatePrescaler = SPI_BaudRatePrescaler_256; SPI_InitStructure.SPI_FirstBit = SPI_FirstBit_MSB; SPI_InitStructure.SPI_CRCPolynomial = 7; SPI_InitStructure.SPI_Mode = SPI_Mode_Master; SPI_Init(PFM_SPI_A, &SPI_InitStructure); SPI_Cmd(PFM_SPI_A, ENABLE);   /*Data read*/ while(SPI_I2S_GetFlagStatus(PFM_SPI_A

Hi there!I have configured an STM32L432KC Nucleo board in STM32CubeIDE, with UART2 and TIM2 using DMA. The generated code doesn't set up these DMAs correctly. The root cause is that their MX_<peripheral>_Init() calls precede the MX_DMA1_Init(), and the MspInit() of these two peripherals initialize DMA channels at a time when the RCC clock for the DMA isn't enabled. The project setup is available here for reproducing the problem: https://github.com/benedekkupper/ProntoInfrared/tree/bc8280e38ce5fb5fe04d3c918bf8fa2542a05964
