I have an STM32F407 micro using the SPI. SPI is setup as a master at 1MHZ clock.I send a group of data (output only) which operates correctly. The SPI does not receive any useful data at this time. After the last byte has been sent out, I loop and wait for the SPI RXNE flag to become set. This is the flag that I use to indicate that the transmission is complete, and data (not useful) is waiting in the receive portion of the DR.I read the SPI data register to clear the flag (dummy = SPI->DR;). However, the flag does not clear automatically. This is verified by setting a breakpoint immediately past the point where I read the data register, and looking at the RXNE flag in SPI status register.It is not until that I single step the code that the RXNE flag is cleared.I was thinking that this may be some sort of debugger HW artifact, but it doesn't appear to be. Later in the code, it blows right through a portion of code that is checking this flag, and it is still set when it should not be

From my understanding, in the MVP model implemented by touchGfx, the view is intended to manage the UI element of a screen while the presenter is intented to manager the logic running in background (for instance hiding/showing elements based on information received from the model). My question is: where should we put the calls to GotoxxxScreen() ? If i follow my understanding, i would put it in the presenter (or eventually in the model), but if i look at the various example as well as the calls implemented by touchGfx Designer, they are put in the view. Moreover the view have a shortcut to the application() while the presenter must go through static_cast<FrontendApplication*>(Application::getInstance())So i'm a bit lost on where is the best/advised place to programatically switch screens.Thanks,Laurent

I use in my code setAlpha , but now dont exist. Why?class PainterRGB565 : public AbstractPainterRGB565 { public: /** * Initializes a new instance of the PainterRGB565 class. * * @param color (Optional) the color, default is black. */ PainterRGB565(colortype color = 0) : AbstractPainterRGB565(), painterColor(0) { setColor(color); }  Now only setColor here.

Question is if TouchGFX framework supports 256 colors? How to tie together hardware CLUT settings and framework?Due to internal RAM size limitations, I want to halve the framebuffer size by reducing the color depth from 16 bpp to 8 bpp . I cannot use the partial buffer strategy because my display has an RGB interface and no internal GRAM.Firstly without TouchGFX enabled I changed LTDC setting PixelFormat to L8 and enable CLUT with some random colors to see if hardware settings are ok. That setting works, I can see my colors.Now I make TouchGFX Designer application with 8 bit color depth option. After creating UI in simulator and see it in 256 colors style as expected. But on my target board everything is drawn in 256 grey scale.There are references in the documentation about 8 bpp bitmaps for images to reduce flash occupied by them. But my goal is to reduce RAM for framebuffer, is it even possible.

Anyone knows why in HAL_OSPI_Init(...) , Octospi free running clock has to be enabled after Octospi is enabled. Form stm32l5xx-hal_ospi.c, lines 404-411: /* Enable OctoSPI */    __HAL_OSPI_ENABLE(hospi);    /* Enable free running clock if needed : must be done after OSPI enable */    if (hospi->Init.FreeRunningClock == HAL_OSPI_FREERUNCLK_ENABLE)    {     SET_BIT(hospi->Instance->DCR1, OCTOSPI_DCR1_FRCK);    }

Hi,Master:Question 1:As shown in the figure below, why does the api read this variable with critical protection?Question 2:Suppose two tasks have write operations to shared variables. For example:int var; void task1(void) { OS_ENTER_CRITICAL(); var = 1; OS_EXIT_CRITICAL(); }   void task2(void) { OS_ENTER_CRITICAL(); var = 2; OS_EXIT_CRITICAL(); }In the OS source code, you can see that a critical section must be added to the shared variable write operation. There is no read-modify-write, and it should not cause a race condition. Why do you need to add a critical section?Question 3:If the compiler has done level optimization, there may be a write cache for variable writes. In this case, should the DSB data synchronization barrier be increased after the variable is written in the critical section? I don’t know when to use DSB, ISB, etc. instructionsThank you very much.

Hi, I am experimenting with the Nucleo-L452RE-P the ALTERNATIVE FUNCTIONS of the PA6 pin, what I need is that the pin acquires a rising edge through the Timer Direct Mode generating INTERRUPT, this works correctlyvoid HAL_TIM_IC_CaptureCallback (TIM_HandleTypeDef * htim){if (htim-> Channel == HAL_TIM_ACTIVE_CHANNEL_1){     }}subsequently it must become a GPIO Output keeping the output low and I do this correctly by configuring the pin in this way:static GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStructA = {0,0,0,0,0};GPIO_InitStructA.Pin = GPIO_PIN_6;GPIO_InitStructA.Mode = GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT_OD; // Open drainGPIO_InitStructA.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL;GPIO_InitStructA.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_LOW;HAL_GPIO_Init (GPIOA, & GPIO_InitStructA);   HAL_GPIO_WritePin (GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_6, GPIO_PIN_RESET);Now I just have to find a way to reset the GPIO PA6 as a Timer Direct Mode to wait for a new rising edge, what can I do?

I believe it has an STM32L462RE inside as it says in the datasheet, however I was a little confused when I read the underlined sentence in the picture bellow. In the datasheet it says there is a M4 inside, however this sentence refers a M0. I just want to get some clarity. Thank you in advance.

Firstly come context:I have seen some differences in my sandbox project between what CubeMX auto-generates for my STM32H745I-DISCO and working examples I can download from github. Different GPIO settings which seem significant, for example. The ST github demo code works, but the generated code doesn't (even when I add device specific config). I can hot swap the working parts out of github demo code into user sections of generated code to get things to function with the other generated stuff. Which seems not the idea!I have also created a new project for this specific discovery board and let CubeMX go ahead and generate its idea of a default config for a project. When looking through some of the RAM timings and display settings in the resulting .ioc file (and being reasonably familiar with the normal settings now) what I am getting seems to be totally wrong. SDRAM timings all set to 16 cycles, display dimensions that are nothing like the board I have, or simply zero...So my questions ar

hello i would like to ask if i can send some data (numbers for exemple ) from my screen STM32F469I-DISCO to my system using EasyCAT Shield (ethercat protocol ) you will find attached photos as an examplebest regards

Hi.Is there a simple, complete example on how to use a Wildcard that can populated in real-time with custom values? That is, change a counter every few seconds or similar.For example, reading from an I2C widget and then print onto the display? So far, have most of the day invested to learn but failing. What a painful exercise this has become. Here is what I have so far:1) Used TouchGFX to create a textArea1 with Wildcard1 -> wildcard buffer set to 10.2) Initial value is blank.3) After much trial and error, able to print my value using the following code:Screen1View.cpp#include <gui/screen1_screen/Screen1View.hpp> #include <texts/TextKeysAndLanguages.hpp> #include <touchgfx/Color.hpp> #include "stm32f4xx_hal.h" // Keil::Device:STM32Cube HAL:Common   Screen1View::Screen1View() { }   void Screen1View::setupScreen() { textArea1.setTypedText(TypedText(T_SINGLEUSEID1)); textArea1.setXY(88, 180); textArea1.setColor(Color::getColorFrom24BitRGB(0xFF, 0xFF,

Hi,I bought some NUCLEO-L452REP (wich include STM32L452RET6 MCU with an SMPS support) particulary because of its SDIO interface.But this interface is not available (not displayed) in CubeMX for the nucleo while it is available if I choose the spare MCU (L452RET6) in the board/MCU selector.Is it a bug or a constrain ?(EDIT : The prblem isn't on the Nucleo vs MCU. The L452RET6P hasn't SDIO interface available in cubeMX but the L425RET6 (not P) has one. The datasheet seems to say that both MCU have SDIO interface)Cube MX with the MCU selected : CubeMX with the Nucleo Selected :Thank you for the time you spend with my problem.François

Installed SPC5Studio on an older WIN7 laptop. When trying to start the application an icon briefly appears in the taskbar - then nothing.Error log reads "A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment..."Updated existing JAVA runtime environment - sameUninstalled JAVA - sameUninstalled and re-installed SPC5Studio - sameWill attach the error log if anyone can work out what is going wrong here and how to fix this.Thanks - Peter N

We have been on a custom board for over a year without issues.Hello,I encountered a strange issue today when loading data to an OSPI flash memory using a custom external loader (*.stldr). This external loader has been working fine for ~2 years when loading ~2MB of GUI assets to OSPI flash and has not changed during this time. Today, I attempted to write 32 bytes of data to a specific region in OSPI flash in addition to the GUI assets that are already written and the 32 bytes result in a write failure. If I write 16 bytes it works fine. Trial and error testing shows that if I write anything beyond 16 bytes in addition to the GUI assets, the write fails. The data being written is not contiguous and the 32 bytes are

I think this page would have the content:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/STM32CubeMonitor:How_to_write_a_variable_from_flowIt seems that hashKey value can not be read out somewhere?{"variablelist":[{"address":"{{flow.current_limit_adr}}","name":"current_limit","type":5,"checked":true,"$$hashKey":"object:604","value":"{{payload}}","validity":true}],"accesspoint":0}(I know how to use the write panel - but need to set 1 variable with value from flow)

Does someone know if system workbench will work also on windows 11? Thanks and regards, Piero

Hi,I'm trying to make SRAM2a retention in standby mode work on my STM32WB55 device.As far as I can tell, the device enters and gets out of Standby as expected (the C1SBF and C2SBF flags are appropriately set when the MCU get sout of the low power state).I've reasonably certain of my variable being in the right SRAM bank (the debugger shows its address is 0x200300000, which is the start of SRAM2a as expected).However, even after making sure the RRS bit in PWR_CR3 is set, and checking that the varible is appropriately initialized before entering Standby, I still get its value back to zero after the device wakes up...My device is powered with all its power supply pins (even VBAT) to 3.3V, no SMPS.Linker script and startup code are directly from STM32CubeMX generation with the latest firmware package (STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.12.1)Any ideas ? Obvious errors ? Thanks in advance./** * @brief Function to configure and enter in Standby Mode. * @param None * @retval None */ void EnterStandbyMode(
