Hi community! my name is Vincenzo,I am looking, if any, for an example application that would help me understand how to send UDP messages from the SPC58EC-DISP board over Ethernet. For the moment I have found an interesting application that allows me to ping the SPC58EC-DISP from my PC, but I'm not being able to do anything else. I noticed that there are demos available inside this application such as Simple TCP Echo Server, but I have not been able to get it to work. There is some documentation about it? besides AN5413.Moreover, I would like to know if it possible to create the Ethernet socket to send a UDP message without using the FreeRTOS Component RLA component? Thanks in advance for your support!Vincenzo

Hi, I have been working with the stm32mp157d-dk1, and im trying to keep a circuit on, waiting to a digital signal output produced by a script, but when i put the board on sleep mode, the signal automatically power off because the gpio module turns off too. Is there any way to know, natively, if the system still running, although it is sleep mode?

Hello,I want to monitor signals in range 0.5 - 80 Hz to wake up a microcontroller on INT1 pin when acceleration is above a certain threshold. My setup is :ODR = 200HzFS = 2GMODE = Low power mode 4, Low NoiseBW_FILT = 00 --> ODR/2 --> 100HzWK_THS = 1 --> 31.25 mgFDS = 0 --> LP Filterinterrupts_enable = 1 --> ENABLE INTERRUPTint1_wu = 1 --> Route wake up on INT1In this configuration I have a LP filter, ODR is 200 Hz so BW according with BW_FILT is 100 Hz.The wake up interrupt is routed to INT 1 and enabled and the threshold is 31.25 mg.If no acceleration is applied I have 1G on z axis due to the gravity, acceleration on x and y axis are below 31.25mg.My question is why with a LP filter I do not have a wake up interrupt due to the gravity ?I was expected to have continuous triggers on INT1 due to the gravity.Reagards, Riccardo

Hello,Are there any examples for implementation FIR filter on accelerometer and gyro data with programmable cut-off frequency? It would be better if CMSIS DSP functions are used.

Hello there.I've setup simple transfer from SRAM4 to FMC NE1 on my STM32H750 board using MDMA. Write transfer itself complites, however no MDMA callbacks is ever called. After some digging i've found out that HAL_MDMA_IRQHandler is never called. On top of the HAL file I've spotted following text:(+) Configure the MDMA interrupt priority using HAL_NVIC_SetPriority() (+) Enable the MDMA IRQ handler using HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ()I've done in my main entry just that, but it did not help, becuase underlying function MDMA_IRQHandler is never redefined by the HAL.I'm using freertos CMSIS_V1. I do not see any NVIC settings in CubeIDE like with UARTs, ETH and so on. I'm just wondering how are you supposed to setup that.

Hello All,I use the STM32H743ZI MCUs on self designed boards. Most boards run without problems with the developed firmware. But some boards ( -were ok before- ) suddenly show a strange behavior. The STM32H7 seems to reset continuously at first sight. For test purposes I wrote a simple LED blink program where one LED is toggled. I use STM32CubeMX (version 6.1.0), STM32CubeIDE (version: 1.5.0), STM32CubeH7 Firmware Package (V1.8.0 / 29-May-2020), STM32CubeProgrammer (v2.6.0-RC3), ST-LINK FW : V2J37M26, HAL. Also this LED program does not work on the suspicious boards. Instead of the LED toggling cleanly, there is rather a kind of flickering. This points again to a continuous resetting. While debugging I noticed that already in the startup file something goes wrong. I try to describe the behavior:Program counter starts in the Reset_HandlerStack pointer is loadedAsm cmd: bl SystemInit (branch to the function SystemInit()) (Picture1)! Does not jump to the function SystemInit()! But jum

Hi,I am not getting the free-fall interrupt using lis12dh12.configured all the register settings as per the below document, but not getting any Interrupt but I able to see the x,y,z raw values.en.DM00500824.pdf (st.com)please help me. not raised any fall interrupt?Regards,Ani

I would like to set up communication with a micro SD (or SD) card to save the data. I am planning to work with the NUCLEO card, I guess the communication is through the SPI interface. Do you know that libraries etc ... Thanks for your helpsThe nucleo card is NUCLEO-L433RC-P

Hello,I tried to create a new project with STM32G0B1RC using CubeMX, but the button 'Start Project' is disabled. When I mouse over the message 'STM32CubeMX cannot load this Mcu'' is displayed: In a similar thread regarding this message I read about the MCU being in preview mode, but not yet supported by HAL and CubeMX.Could you please provide a date, when full availability of STM32G0B1RC is planned? Thanks in advance for any support.Best regards,Hendrik

Thank you for helping. Please tell me the amount of RAM and ROM used by TouchGFX.The version is 4.16.1.Thank you.

Hi,I'm having some strange issues trying to update F7 MCU via USART with stm32loader.The MCU jumps to bootloader from software and enter DFU mode, the USART is detected, however, the auto baudrate detects 1200 bps instead of 115200.I've made some tests, and if I reset the system before USB init (in order to jump to bootloader) it detects the baudrate most of the times (not all of the times).Following AN2606 document, STM32F74xxx known limitations, I've tried to decrease the baudrate to 9600, but it still detects 1200.Manually setting BOOT0 to high (using a button) works perfectly, but I need it to work using software.Regards,Nitzan

I am really struggling hard to understand the regenerative braking for electric vehicles for 48V systems. My main doubt is if the motor back emf is less than battery voltage, how does it do generation. The motor is PMSM with sinusoidal back emf and i am trying to control using FOC. Please advise. Basic explanation and any websites or articles will really help.

Hi. I'm having trouble with integer interpretation for DFSDM. From the RM:> The offset correction allows to calibrate the external sigma-delta modulator offset error. The user configures the offset register with a signed 24-bit correction, and this register is automatically added to the output result. The offset correction value is usually the result of a calibration routine embedded within the microcontroller software that performs the offset calibration calculation and stores the correction into the offset register. All operations in the DFSDM peripheral are in signed format (filtering, integration, offset correction, right bit shift). This would be fine if it used 16 or 32 bit registers, but I'm not sure how to make my language (Rust) do signed 24 bit integers. 1: Does it expect bit 24 to be the sign bit, or bit 32?2: How do you handle this properly? If you ask Rust, and presumably C or C++ as well, to interpret the register as an i32, it will probably use the left most bit as a si

Hello All,I have an intresting issue that came up. But I am not sure if I understand it. In the clock configurator, I gave the usart mux a 100Mhz clock for the uarts and set up the baud rate for 115200K. Once I started sending data, I noticed that the baud rate was off. I went back and gave the clocking mux 64mhz, and that seemed to fix that issue. I want to make sure I understand why this before I move forward. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have a very basic 8-bit parallel line on pins PC0-PC7 with its clock on PB6. The MCU is a 411RE, I'm using STM32CubeIDE and HAL libraries.I've read AN4666 but the examples provided are written using an obsolete library, not HAL. But I understood that I have to use a Timer in Input Capture mode to activate the DMA transfer. To do this, in CubeMX I configured TIM4 as follows: Slave Mode: Reset ModeTrigger Source: TI1FP1Internal ClockChannel1: Input Capture direct modeThen in the DMA Settings tab I added one line:DMA Request: TIM4_CH1Stream: DMA1 Stream0Direction: Peripheral To MemoryPriority: LowMode: NormalIncrement Address: MemoryUse FIFO: yesWord to ByteBurst: SingleDoes this configuration make any sense? My idea is to transfer the contents of register GPIOC->IDR (dimension: Word 32bit) to a uint8_t buffer (dimension Byte 8bit). I also need an interrupt to count how many transfers were done or simply when the destination buffer is full. This is because I have to receive N 8bit fr

Remedial register view help needed.I need to see DMA and UART registers, not having much luck.ron239955_stm1 referred to the i/o registers window, how is this done? From Debug Perspective, Registers View, I see only General Registers.I notice that the "Debug views" reference from Help menu does not appear to correspond to the Registers View, so maybe this part of CubeIDE is still under construction(?)Using STM32CubeIDE 1.4.2

I am using stm32f767zi nucleo board and they HSE clock input is coming from st link debugger which according to data sheet of the board generates an 8 MHz MCO signal which is fed into the OSC_in pin. I have configured HSE bypass as the clk source for my mcu and configured the SYSCLK to be 8 MHZ(same as HSE). there is no PLL. However when I try to call the above method to see the current sysclk freq, the degugger shows it as 25 MHz which is clearly wrong. my code for configuring clock is shown below.void SystemClockConfig() {     RCC_OscInitTypeDef osc_init; osc_init.OscillatorType = RCC_OSCILLATORTYPE_HSE; // after reset HSE is off, so you have to give it a new state osc_init.HSEState = RCC_HSE_BYPASS; osc_init.PLL.PLLState = RCC_PLL_NONE; if (HAL_RCC_OscConfig(&osc_init) != HAL_OK) { // there is somethign wrong in initialization Error_handler(); } // // RCC_ClkInitTypeDef clk_init;   clk_init.ClockType = RCC_CLOCKTYPE_HCLK | RCC_CLOCKTYPE_SYSCLK | RCC_

I am working with an STM32F405 and am attempting to use a page of flash to store ~1K of persistent data that will be seldom written and often read (device serial number and calibration data).I have been trying to reference sample code and a few other questions in this forum, but am still having some trouble. What I have so far:In my .ld, I have created a new section for my user data in sector 11 of flash (addr 0x080E 0000 - 0x080F FFFF):/* Memories definition */ MEMORY { CCMRAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x10000000, LENGTH = 64K RAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 128K FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x8000000, LENGTH = 896K DATA (rwx) : ORIGIN = 0x80E0000, LENGTH = 128K }   /* Sections */ SECTIONS { .user_data : { . = ALIGN(4); KEEP(*(.user_data)) . = ALIGN(4); } > DATA ...In my application, I have a variable mapped to this region that I plan on using for reading my data that I'm making sure is initialized to all 0xFF on initial program write:__attribute__((__section__(".user_dat

I'm trying to program a STM32G491CEU6 by using BOOT0 and NRST but I'm not able to connect unless I power cycle the MCU while BOOT0 is pulled HIGH. Hi,We are working on a STM32 project based on sample_azure_iot_embedded_sdk_adu project. The board is B-L4S5I-IOT01A. At the moment, we are implementing the OTA. The board is able to download the firmware bin file, however it is stuck at the function HAL_FLASH_OB_Launch() -> SET_BIT(FLASH->CR,FLASH_CR_OBL_LAUNCH). After that, the debugger says that "target is not responding, retrying... ". Then, the board resets by itself and still boots up with the original firmware. The firmware size is 360KB which is less than each bank size. Can you please take a look and see what would be the cause of it ? FYI, Attached is the linker file and the c file. Thanks,Face

Hello ST - would you please clarify these two errata and share the missing formula from PM0271:Slot guard time (1.25 ms or 1.5 ms?The last sentence of 5.2 specifies a 1.25 ms guard time.5.2.2 specifies a 1.5 ms guard time and Figure 22 shows 1.5 ms guard times.Advertising interval minimum?5.1.1 specifies a random offset of 0..10 ms.5.2.3 specifies a length of 14.6 ms which "cannot be reduced" but only references min/max interval plus 5 ms (i.e. not min/max plus 10 ms).So is the realizable minimum advertising interval 14.6 + 10 --> 24.6 (plus I presume a 1.5 ms guard time, so 26.1 rounded to 1.25 ms multiple, so 26.25).Or is the random delay specified at 10 ms but ST SW truncates to 5 ms, so min adv int that can be realized is actually 14.6 + 5 --> 19.6? If so, would a mandatory 1.5 ms guard time be added to that? Finally, where can we find the formula referred to in 5.4:The following formula is defined:• GET_Master_Slave_device_connection_parameters(Num_Masters, Num_Slaves, Scan_W

I downloaded your last ST25R39xx library examples (about Bluetooth, RW ...); I can write NFC URI tag in Card Emulation mode (without some NDEF_NOT_DETECTED messages during the transfer), but not NFC WiFi message . So I succeed to write tag in CE mode to my Android, but it is empty. I can not initialized it properly for now

I am trying to build the 3 components that comprise the "2 Images" variant of the SBSFU v2.5 package. This requires building the following components: 2_Images_SECoreBin   - 2_Images_SBSFU     - 2_Images_UserApp The SBSFU package does not, however, come with .cproject files for STM32CUBE-IDE which is my target IDE. How can I import and compile this package and its components with the CUDE-IDE? Thanks
