Hi,I am fairly new to the STM32 family. I am trying to program my STM32G030F6P6 with a ST-Link V2. I am using the TSSOP-20 Package varient. However when I try to upload even a very simple program I get this error."Error in final launch sequence:Failed to start GDB serverFailed to start GDB serverError in initializing ST-LINK device.Reason: (4) No device found on target."So I was looking through forum posts and everything and it came to my attention that my boot0 pin is shared with the SWCLK pin. I found out one forum post says that I need to connect the NRST pin too in these type of situations. But in the datasheet I could not find a clear answer to that. Can you please comment on this and share your insights please. It would be a great help.I have configured the Serial Wired and everyting in the setup.I know the ST Link V2 is working because I can flash my Bluepill and other STM32 MCUs with it.Best Regards

Hello,I wanted some more clarification on the st25r3916B chip, it is very interesting as well as cheap compared to st25r3916 and covers my needs.are they interchangeable? do they have pin to pin compatibility? the firmware has not yet been released or is it compatible with RFAL for ST25R3916?thank you very much and greetings.D.

Hi,This error was raised using Touchgfx 4.19.1, CubeMX 6.5. Nothing interesting in the project, just the default settings of Nucleo f446re, adding gfx software pack and adding a clock in the designer -> generate code and compile in CubeIDE and again in uVision. Same error and I cannot find this file searching the file explorer ! Your help is much appreciated.

The issue:The directory structure generated by TouchGFX for 2 core STM32H747 is just very complicated.By complicated I mean it's not only difficult to navigate for me as a user, but also for IDEs like STM32CubeIDE, VSCode and its various C++ plugins.Let me explain:Let's say we have a Startup Screen. The view source file is located in gui/src/startup_screen/StartupView.cpp file. The view header file is located in gui/include/gui/startup_screen/StartupView.hpp file.(The gui directory is located in /CM7/TouchGFX, but that's fine.)I configured VSCode to see the includes properly and even installed an extension that understands that convoluted folder structure and it's capable of quickly switch between headers and source. However - implementing functions extension can't do the trick, it still can't find the source.I can manually move the source and header files to whatever location I like and it will compile, however, the TouchGFX will stop cooperating with such modified project ;)What I'm lo

I want the Nucleo board 303RE to act as a debugger for my external board. Two boards have an individual 3.3V supply so the ground has been made common. Other Hardware connections are below. Since CUBE IDE doesn't allow to flash Bin files using ST-LINK ....My question which software should I use to flash the bin file into the external board using Nucleo board's ST-Link. an anyone reply ASAP. Moreover when I select ELF file in CUBE IDE and debug my external board using Nucleo board's ST-LINK it gets into Hard fault handler....I checked the syntax of my code there is no issues with it....What should be the proper software and way to flash a bin file into external board using Nucleo's STlink and SWD?

Hello, ST expertFrom the picture below, it showes that 5V tolerent GPIO connect to VDD_FT through a protection diode. But what is detailed difference between VDD_FT and VDD? BRYang

Can LED2472G be used as a shift register to drive signal relays with coil current of < 30mA. Can they be used as generic shift registers too? Thanks!Håvard.

Hello,I have a problem with pins PC2_C and PC3_C on STM32H7. We have custom board based on this MCU and we want to interface SD card via SPI. We are using these pins: PA9 as SCK, PA0 as CS, PC2_C and PC3_C as MISO and MOSI respectively. I can not initialize the SD card to SPI mode and I think that the problem is caused by PC3_C pin. This MCU does not have PC2 and PC3 connected to external pads, so we must close the analog switch between PC2+PC2_C and PC3+PC3_C. This is done using SYSCFG_PMCR register. By my understanding, those switches are on this MCU closed by default, but I can close them either way using:HAL_SYSCFG_AnalogSwitchConfig(SYSCFG_SWITCH_PC2, SYSCFG_SWITCH_PC2_CLOSE); HAL_SYSCFG_AnalogSwitchConfig(SYSCFG_SWITCH_PC3, SYSCFG_SWITCH_PC3_CLOSE);The switches close properly, as I can control those two pins manually. Now my problem is that on pin PC3_C - MOSI, the edges during SPI communication are so slow, that the SD card is not working.I tried toggling the pins manually with

My goal is to transfer the contents of an integer array (8 bits per value) to 8 GPIO pins.Using the CubeMX perspective in the CubeIDE (latest version) I configured the DMA2 to work with Timer1 in the memory to peripheral mode. I am using the STM32 F4 Discovery board (STM32F407VG)I need a Hello World on how to push one value of an array to the GPIO pins. Is there a way to stop the project being rebuilt when I run it? I'd prefer to use the last build, rather than building again every time.I checked the project and build configuration options but couldn't see anything. Thanks.

We are doing a custom board bring-up and currently trying to display video on our display device. We use CubeMx to generate the device trees for our project, we have configured the DSI PLL dividers to match our display device requirement. Snapshot of the configuration is shown below. In the device tree's rcc node, we do see the CLK_DSI_DSIPLL, however we are not seeing these divider information. The clock configurations for rest of the peripherals are reflected in the device tree, also the clock dividers to generate DSI pixel clock are present in the rcc node and in the target's clock summary dsi_px clock shows the configured clock frequency. The clock configurations for DSI lane clock is not seen in the device tree and also in the target it shows 200MHz instead of a 174MHz when measured. Are we missing anything here? Where is the DSI PHY configurations in the device tree?

Brief: I am using cubemx to configure and generate code.MCU: stm32wb55rgvxfirmware package name and version: FW_WB V1.13.3Details:I am working on a project where the stm must act as a bridge between the PC and the device under test (DUT). We use the newtmgr tool on the PC to transfer/upload the firmware on the DUT via the stm at baudrate of 1MHz. For this, we are using two uarts on the stm i.e. USART1 connected to the PC and LPUART1 connected to the DUT. All packets received from the PC must be relayed to the DUT and all packets/responses received from the DUT must be forwarded to the PC.I have attached the .ioc file that shows how I have configured the two uarts to be used with DMA's. I'd like the DMA's to work in the following cyclic order since it's a request-response mechanism.Receive packet from the PC over USART1-RXRelay this packet to the DUT over LPUART1-TXReceive a response from the DUT on LPUART-RXRelay this packet to the PC over USART1-TXWith the above configuration, the tra

I'm looking to connect a Waveshare e-Paper display to my STM32U5 discovery kit (B-U585I-IOT02A).On the Waveshare website (https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/7.8inch_e-Paper_HAT), they have a pinout for the SPI bus on a STM32F4 chip as follows:Connect to STM32F429IGT6 (SPI)IT8951 STM32 Description5V 5V 5V Power inputGND GND GroundMISO PE13 Data outputMOSI PE14 Data inputSCK PE12 Clock inputCS PE11 Chip select (Low active)RST PC5 Reset (Low for reset)HRDY PA7 BUSY state output (Low for busy)What are the equivalent pinouts for the STM32U585? 5V/Gnd are obvious. I think MISO/MOSI/SCK/CS go to PE12/PE13/PE14/PE15. Perhaps HRDY goes to PA8, but I'm not fully sure. I don't know where RST(PC5) maps to on the STM32U585. Can you please help me?Also, if I wanted to bypass this RPi HAT, what would you recommend? Thanks,Vince

I'm trying to use the STM32WB firmware event callbacks defined in ble_events.h and ble_events.c but they don't appear to be working.According to the documentation in PM0271 revision 2 section 4.4 I should be able to use the event callbacks framework as an alternative to the switch/case event handlers. However when I implement the event, it never gets hit (tried both with and without the __WEAK attribute):__WEAK void hci_le_connection_complete_event( uint8_t Status, uint16_t Connection_Handle, uint8_t Role, uint8_t Peer_Address_Type, const uint8_t* Peer_Address, uint16_t Conn_Interval, uint16_t Conn_Latency, uint16_t Supervision_Timeout, uint8_t Master_Clock_Accuracy ) { Debug_print("hci_le_connection_complete_event called!"); }But in my switch/case events I do get the EVT_LE_CONN_COMPLETE event triggering. The version of the STM32WB firmware I'm using is 1.10.0and the firmware loaded onto my P-NUCLEO-WB55 development board is V2J37M26loaded with STM32CubeProgrammer v2.5.0.I did

Hello I installed spc5studio that downloaded from ST website and it works correctly. But in software, I can't debug MCU with spc5studio. I checked windows/preferences/Spc5studio but there is not "Debug Options". How should I debug with spc5studio?

STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.9.0Hal MCU : v1.5.1Chip: STM32G061C8U6 If you enable USART1 in asynchronous mode for pins PA9 and PA10 the auto generated code incorrectly sets the port to AF0 when it should be AF1 see datasheet table 13 or port.png.When set to the correct port it transmits but at very low amplitude of a few mv. Hi all,I am using STM32F303CB microcontroller, connected with a I2C slave which has no CLK stretching support. The I2C bus lines are pulled high with 4k75 ohms resistors and the lines have a serial resistor of 50 ohms (approx.). The schematic looks like the one in the image below. The routine I have in configuring the slave and running it in normal mode, is the following.Reset the slave using HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit().A delay of 100 ms.Config the slave using HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit().A delay of 1.5 ms.Run the slave (from config mode to normal mode) using HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit_IT().The circuit was implemented on certain number of PCBs and the routine works fine on most of them. However, on certain PCBs, the slave does not start properly and the issue was found to be with the step 5 of the routine I mentioned above. Normally, the transmitted data should look like the image below (0x2A -> slave address, 0x0A -> memory location inside slave, 0x00 -> data to be written insid

We are trying to sample a 50Hz to 200Hz signal at 50Khz rate, using stm32H7 micro controller, ADC-DMA mode is used. Tried to plot the wave in cube monitor by accessing the corresponding variable. the issue is 50Hz waveform is not reproduced properly, while if the signal frequency is reduced to 1Hz, the waveform is plotted and reproduced perfectly. Till 5Hz the waveform looks fine. Beyond that the waveform is not proper. Tried changing the sampling custom sampling frequency in Cube Monitor beyond 50kHz. But looks like no change. If we need plot signals till 200Hz, how this can be done. We need to sense and plot around 12 ADC channels. Need suggestions, if any settings to be changed in cube monitor or IDE. Tq

When I do a build in STM32CubeIDE 1.9.0 the console window looks like this: But if you scroll up a bit...You can see that the build actually failed. Those errors are real.I could make the window a bit taller I suppose, but shouldn't it stop building when there is an error, and at least show the error and warning count on the very last line?STM32CubeIDEVersion: 1.9.0Build: 12015_20220302_0855 (UTC)OS: Windows 8.1, v.6.3, x86_64 / win32Java vendor: AdoptOpenJDKJava runtime version: 11.0.11+9Java version: 11.0.11

Hi,I am using a microcontroller STM32L4R9AII6 on a STM32L4R9I-EVAL board, with IDE STM32CubeIDE (version 1.9.0)I am trying to run a fairly simple code in Debug Mode, that just toggles a LED using some software overlay we developped. It seems that after a determined number of instructions executed, the program get stuck in "Running : User Request" mode. (See picture error1)I've noticed that my main while loop get executed everytime 18 times, and then the program get stuck.I've tried adding somme dummy instructions inside the main while(1) loop, and the program then get stuck before (11 loop executions), as if a pre-determined maximum number of instructions could be ran.The code that is being executed does not seem faulty at all, and have been running pretty well before. When pressing "Suspend" once stuck in the "Running : Use Request", I get the error shown on picture "error2".At this point I don't really know where to look and can't really explain anything of what is happening. Hello, ST expertIn our custom MCU board design, some GPIO pins can be drived HIGH before MCU is power on. I found that sometimes (low possibility)these GPIO pins damaged, that means these pins can not be drived high again. I am not certain it is caused by the power sequence. Is there any suggestion about this? And by the way if VBAT pin is present and VDD is not, does GPIO part in MCU workes as VDD is present?
