Hi,I'm looking at how compiling TouchGFX applications work, and it appears that you have to compile the TouchGFX project and then flash the board with the application.https://support.touchgfx.com/4.19/docs/development/ui-development/working-with-touchgfx/compiling-and-flashingI'm trying to figure out if its possible to hot-load applications onto a device like an app store, and install new widgets without having to re-flash the entire image. Thanks!

My code is larger than expected and I am close to the 32K program boundary of my device. When I optimize for debugging or have no optimize I cannot test new code. When I optimize for size I have plenty of room for the new code, but single stepping through the code to find a bug is a problem because the optimization jumps all over the place. So can I optimize for size the files that I know are good, and optimize for debugging or no optimize the files I am working on? It appears it is optimize by the whole project. If I change the optimization, it recompiles the whole project to that optimization. The new rev of the board increases the memory from 32K to 64K but that is not going to happen for a couple of months, and I need this version working before they will release the new board. Hello,I am trying to connect to my STM32F429I-DISC1 (E01 revision) board's USART1 on pins PA9 and PA10 using an FT2232HL as USART to USB interface. I've seen in the user manual of the STM32F429I-DISC1 that the solder bridges SB11 and SB15 connecting ST-LINK to USART1 and enabling VCP where on by default. I am wondering if this might prevent me from accessing USART1 via pins PA9 and PA10 and if I have to disable this solder bridges or if it has no incidence over it ?Thank you.

Hello,I want to update the MCU firmware using NFC.I have a iphone and will create an app or use existing one, and st25dv dynamic tag which uses I2c to connect with stm32f411re.And want to create a custom bootloader in flash similar to BL provided by stm32 which is in system memory. The following steps are the one which I perform.I open the app and then select firmware upgrade.Selecting the file to flash. Click Start transfer and enter password.press start transfer to start transmitting binary image.Implementing logic in code:Application is already running and I do the above steps, then the mcu will detect the nfc message and then will do soft reset (system reset), then bootloader starts running. What should i do now to get the new firmware.?I mean my question is, how can the MCU say, hey iPhone, im in bootloader please start sending the firmware now. (I got this question because, i already pressed start transfer button in the iphone which made to swtich to bootloader code after system r

I make a pcb board with stm32wb55rgv6, but my LSE doesn't work and this part of the circuit was accidentally destroyed in my soldering process. Can i just use HSE or LSI in replace of LSE in BLE application? And what's the limitations?

I am using STM32G070RBTX micro configured for ADC with DMA. My project works well configured with CubeIDE version 1.8.0. However after I updated to 1.9.0, the ADC Continuous Conversion Mode cannot be Enabled from CubeMX. It force to use Discontinuous mode, which cannot be Disabled! Please see the attached picture.

i modified the code for downlink turning on red led 3." case LORAWAN_USER_APP_PORT:"for my case port 99:to turn on led defined at PB1 which i defined.as this was the default code for digital output given by cayenne port 99.when i am gpio writing whenever channel 4 is comming its turning on. but if i read 3 byte its not turning on , i am confused the code is as follow. case 99:            if (appData->BufferSize == 4)            {             AppLedStateOn = appData->Buffer[1] & 0x64;             if (AppLedStateOn == RESET)             {              APP_LOG(TS_OFF, VLEVEL_H, "LED OFF\r\n");&nb

Hi,I have SPC5-UDESTK plug in to SPC560B-DIS board and i have activated VCP but still not connect. If I use onBoard debbuger works, but i need to work with external SPT5-UDESTK to program my custom board, and indeed not work.Any idea?Thank you in advantage

Currently I use only a few typographies because I thought that each typography stores its characters as graphics. Instead of using one typgraphy on many places, I could also use one typography for menus, one for page headers, one for buttons etc. What happens if I use e.g. 3 typographies with identical settings (font, font size, etc.) - Is each image stored only once (as the font and size is the same) or is it stored 3fold (because there are 3 typographies, indepenently if the fonts are identical or not)? If it does not rrequired additional memory, it would be nice to use seperate typographies for seperate things.

Hello, everyoneI currently have two ST semi-graphic chips that I would like to use in my retro projects. These are EF9345 and TS9347. I have the data sheets for both chips and an application note for the EF9345. Does anyone have any more information about the chips? Such as the command structure. Or assembler routines (preferably Z80) for the correct control of the chip's possibilities? That would be great!ThanksMartin

Hello,I want to send data from a X-NUCLEO-NFC07A1 (ST25DV board) to a X-NUCLEO-NFC06A1 (ST253916 board) through Fast Transmission Board, as suggested here:Fast transfer mode vs NDEF&EEPROMI've found that there are two different set of functions to use FTM. One is using ST25FTM library, as explained in AN5512, with examples in the STSW-ST25R-LIB i.e. to send data there exists this function:The other one comes with the X-CUBE-NFC7, with functions named as "NFC07A1_" that are wrappers to functions named "ST25DVxxKC_"i.e. to send data there exists this function:Which ones are I am supposed to used? Maybe some of them are legacy and other are newer?Thank you,Dani

Hi, I'm using the STM32L451VETx and I'm configuring the ADC to read from the internal temperature sensor however the readings are lower than expected. Typical readings at around 21 degrees Celsius are only 3 degrees Celsius. I can see some change in the temperature if I apply cold or heat to the IC so I believe it's sensing temperature. I'm using the HAL macro "__HAL_ADC_CALC_TEMPERATURE". I have the ADC configured to scan 5 channels into DMA, the other channels that I'm reading are all correct. I noticed also that changing the sampling time for the temperature sensor changes the ADC reading but none of the available options work to produce accurate temperature readings. All of the ADC config is done through CubeMX. Any suggestions for what I may be doing wrong? Thanks,Doug Burrell

Hello dear friends,I have installed STM32CUBEIDE v1.7, v1.8 and v1.9. Since V1.8 the indexer can't find variables and functions in cube-generated files and throw this type of message."Could not find symbol 'blah blah' in index".This issue is really annoying. Could you help me on solving this issue?PS. V1.7 indexer is working.

I have an STM32F407 and I'm using LwIP + DP83848 Ethernet PHY. I'm facing problems to ping the unit and I don't know why.  The pinouts for the RMII settings. Red rings got to the processor. The blue ring shows RESET. It need to be logic 1 (HIGH) for the Ethernet PHY to start. The green ring shows a LED lamp that flashes when something happen on the internet cable e.g I ping an IP-address. The oscillator is at 50 Mhz and I don't know why it should go inside my processor. This is from the datasheet DS8626 of the ST-microcontroller. https://www.st.com/resource/en/datasheet/dm00037051.pdf I think this is OK to just write 50 MHz for Ethernet PTP? I have connected my RJ45 connector like this Other tiny pins of the Ethernet PHY Pins that are not used are: Special pinns:https://i.stack.imgur.com/UszLt.pngSome pins have Pull-up and pull-down. I have pull-downs on all input pins of the ethernet PHY.https://i.stack.imgur.com/CRwSZ.pngLast picture

Hello.I have been working on a project where the I2C based sensor I have chosen works by itself. When I enable a SPI based module, the I2C sensor does not seem to send any data. The I2C lines don't even have any conflicts with other pins.I have included this main code used during testing.int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */ int i2c, test; char out[70] = {"\0"}; /* USER CODE END 1 */   /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/   /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init();   /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */   /* USER CODE END Init */   /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config();   /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */   /* USER CODE END SysInit */   /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_I2C1_Init(); MX_LPUART1_UART_Init(); MX_SPI1_Init(); MX_ADC_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */     HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOA, GPI

We have plan to support application down-loader from Application context. It means Application has ability to receive new application over the air. Not SBSFU.In case of Active application got corrupted somehow, then SBSFU is locked the MCU, as we lost Remote application upgrade capability. Can we enable SBSFU internal loader in case of recovery mechanism condition only, as No valid application exist ?? if we enable, the what is the RISC of Security ??
