Solved

Hello together, I'm working with the CubeMX for the first time and unfortunately I haven't found a reason why in the category "Project Manager" the dropdown menu "Toolchain/IDE" some choices are grayed out and can't be selected. I would like to use the option "Other Toolchains (GPDSC)" (see attached picture)I noticed that the option is not always grayed out and depends on which Evalboard I selected at the beginning.E.g. the option is available for the Nucleo64 boards. But with the H7 DISCO boards the option is gray again.  Does anyone know what it depends on when the option is available?I would be glad about an answer. Thank you.

Hello,I am working stm32mp157c. It has two processor (A7 and M4). They can communicate with each other over virt uart(rpmsg). When I want to send a message to a7 over m4, if the message is filled with constant data, everything is ok. If the message is filled with sequential data, the data cannot be fully transmitted. For example,while(1){OPENAMP_check_for_message();uint8_t buffer[496] = { 0 };for(uint16_t i = 0; i < sizeof(buffer); i++) buffer[i] = 48;VIRT_UART_Transmit(&huart0, buffer, sizeof(buffer));HAL_Delay(1000);}In the above case everything is ok. But the following situationwhile(1){OPENAMP_check_for_message();uint8_t buffer[496] = { 0 };for(uint16_t i = 0; i < sizeof(buffer); i++) buffer[i] = i;VIRT_UART_Transmit(&huart0, buffer, sizeof(buffer));HAL_Delay(1000);}It can only receive 251 of 496 bytes of data. IPCC clock speed is 210MHz.What could be the problem?

Hi,I am trying to use the ROM bootloader on the STM32G071 to change the contents of specific flash sections. I was able to enter the bootloader just fine, at least I think so because I can see in the debugger how different points in the address space above 1fff0000 are accessed.I am using this library on another STM32 as a master:https://github.com/glegrain/STM32-SPI-Bootloader-hostSince it's written by an STM employee and the commands are exactly like in AN2606 I am confident this is correct. However I can't even get past the first synchronization sequence. The bootloader only responds with seemingly random data. The baud rate is below 8MHz as necessary. Is there some additional timing I have to adhere to, or anything else that I am missing?I rechecked this on an STM32F446 Nucleo and am having the same problems.I used the CubeMX configuration for SPI on master side with CPOL Low, CPHA Edge 1, MSB first 8bit.Thanks

After initializing the project, I freeze waiting for the presence of data of type 0x04 in the list in function Sensor_DeviceInit() - app_bluenrg_2.c. Please tell me what could be wrong?

I've created h and c files in Inc and Src folders, I get the following error: "undefined reference to `ILI9341_DrawPixel'*.h file:void ILI9341_DrawPixel(uint16_t x,uint16_t y,uint16_t color);*.c file:while (x >= y) { ILI9341_DrawPixel(X + x, Y + y, color); ILI9341_DrawPixel(X + y, Y + x, color); ILI9341_DrawPixel(X - y, Y + x, color); ILI9341_DrawPixel(X - x, Y + y, color);.......undefined reference to `ILI9341_DrawPixel'Best regards

I'm new to STM32s and I want to verify that I can put a Quad-SPI PSRAM chip (or SRAM, DRAM, etc) on the Quad-SPI interface and have everything work? From what I have read it seems like it will work, but everything seems to refer to using FLASH memories, not xRAM devices. The only caveat I see is that the Memory-mapped mode _won't_ work because that is read-only. With that option gone, I'd write some simple code to operate in Indirect Mode (register access) (or perhaps DMA?). My requirements are more storage space than speed. (I need >= 8 Mbits)So, as I said at the top, I'm just looking for verification that this approach will work. Thanks!

I watched a tutorial using this code: pwmData[0] = 10; pwmData[1] = 20; pwmData[2] = 30; pwmData[3] = 40; pwmData[4] = 50; pwmData[5] = 60; pwmData[6] = 70; pwmData[7] = 80; pwmData[8] = 90; pwmData[9] = 100;   HAL_TIM_PWM_Start_DMA(&htim1, TIM_CHANNEL_1, (uint32_t *)pwmData, 10);With it you can change the duty cycle of many signals, I would like to know a way to put also successive periods in an array, in order to change, not only the duty cycle but the periode as well. The problem with this code is that ARR doesn't change? Is there a proper way to realize what I would like?

I set ACT_THS and ACT_DUR registers, so now the chip enters on low data rate mode (10 Hz) when no movement is detected. everything is fine to that point. I don't have access to INT1 and INT2 pins physically so I need to read activity/inactiviy status by registers.

Hi Community,I am using video widget to play the sample videos provided in demo (STM32F769I). But i wanted to play custom videos. Run Target is is also 100% completed but video is not updated on the display. Anyone knows how to play custom videos using Video Widget.Touch GFX Version : 4.19.1.Video Format: MJPEG videos in AVI format.

Hi, I try to download X-CUBE-CRYPTOLIB but after clicking on ACCEPT "terms and conditions" I always get 404 Error

Hi, I have been investigating a current leak in my circuit. I triangulated it to my IIS3DWB, when the accelerometer is not communicated through and all pins are pulled up by the MCU, I get a system current consumption of ~20uA (expected) But if I ever communicate with IIS3DWB, even for checking the WHOAMI register, my current floor is set to 1mA. (starting accelerometer adds 1an extra 1 mA)This persists even if I set the lanes that drive SPI to GPIO and pull them up. (or down)Persists if I make a software reset. It only resolves with a power cycling of the board. It is as if in IIS3DWB something latches and sinks current. I read the other post, cleaned the flux and tried SW RESET. I also have ties the VDDIO to VDD, since the comm voltage is the same with VDD.What might be the culprit? VDD is 3V6 (But the current persists with 3V or 3V3)What might be the culprit?

Hi everyoneI'm going to use STLD40D Driver IC for my TFT LCD. For driving LCD backlight, I'v chosen this Driver from ST. But I can't figure out the function theory of this driver. could you please explain for me the STLD40D function theory and how to use that?thank you in advance.

Recently I went from a stm32G0B1RET6 (512kB flash in dual bank) to a stm32G0B1RCT6 (256kB flash in dual bank) and I came across a strange behaviour (at least to me). The Firmware I work on is approximately 180kB in size, which means it can be stored in one flash bank of the previously used stm32G0B1RET6 but not on the stm32G0B1RCT6. Anyway I went on to test my FW on the RCT6 only to find out the FW was getting hardfaults that seemed to happen anytime the execution address was situated in the Bank B and something (maybe an interrupt) was called from bank A. The issues was solved by modifying the option bytes of the mcu to switch back to a single bank. Also when the mcu stalled in hardfault for such a reason it was not possible to debug it anymore and I had to mass erase the flash with cube programmerSo my question is : is there any reasons for the dual bank flash to cause such problems ?

Dear Support,Good day,Please advise what is the suffix KHA and KXA in the label for the part number M24M01-RMN6TP. Please refer to attached photo. Thanks

Hi,lately I realized that there are tracer errors from the USB-C stack in STM32CubeMonitor. I haven't seen them with older version of the USBPD libraries.Currently I'm using:- FW pack STM32Cube_FW_G0_V1.5.1- USBPD core library is now V4.0.0- USBPD device library is now V3.3.1Where do these errors come from? Thanks!BR, Christoph

I set level to DC(level1) and now I am not able to connect the board to Cube Programmer and throws "Connection to target must be established before performing the read command." https://youtu.be/LG474meMnagI was using this above video for reference. I had TrustZone enabled on the board and wanted to disable it. As per the video I first set it to DC from AA level in cube programmer. Then disconnected the board and power cycle. Then tried to connect back for the next steps, the cube programmer started throwing an error " Error: Connection to target must be established before performing the read command." Now I am not able to flash the code in Keil and it says "CPU is locked up"

I am using STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.9.0 and STM32CubeMX Version 6.5.0 under Win 10I am modifying the End Node example on a NUCLEO-WL55JC and I need to use the STM32Cube_FW_WL MCU Package. For compatibility reasons I need to use the Version 1.0.0 of the MCU Package (newer versions are a no go for me)During code generation, CubeMX automatically upgrades the MCU Package to the latest available release (1.2.0).Trying to avoid this, I selected under Software Packs -> Manage Software Packs the Version 1.0.0 but at the moment of generating the code it still uploads version 1.2.0... Any help is appreciated

The "validate on target" option doesn't work and I was wondering if it was possible to work around the problem by sending some data manually. I thanks you in advance.

We received notification from our CM that there is an EOL notice for this part. I checked a few sources including st.com, and they all say that this part is active. Can you please confirm the YTEOL for this part?Thank you.John

Hi, hope someone could kindly help me out with this.I am using the B-L462E-Cell-1 EVK with the 1SC modem from Murata. My goal is to test MQTT on the device using X-Cube-Cellular v5.2.1 which has the MQTT client application. I have followed the readme to use IAR workbench IDE to include the relevant MQTT folders. I have also set the variables to use MQTT client.I see these commands printed here. But the publish command doesn't work when I try to publish to the Hive MQ public MQTT broker. It seems to get stuck. I don't think this is a network related issue, since I used the cst command to check that my SIM has been configured already and I can received a signal.  My MQTT client configuration is seen here: Any ideas? Would appreciate some help from ST or the community. :)

I have a peripheral I am communicating to using both a Raspberry Pi and also STM32G0B1 (two different devices, two different setups)I am basically trying to reproduce successful communications that the Pi us doing to this peripheral on the STM32 platforms. I am having some strange results. The CS line seems to be going low or high, too early/late causing bits to be read that shouldn't be there.I'm sending 3 separate frames. 4 bytes, 10 bytes, 1 byte. There is no input being read, so those lines can be ignored.Below I am showing the output comparisons between the RPi and STM32.The graphs below show the following signals:SDOSDI <-- no traffic on any signalCSCLK4 bytes frame on Rpi, matches code: 4 bytes on STM32 (should match above): It can be seen that it appears the bits are shifted 1 to the left here. The 10 byte frame:Same again with the STM32: The final frame is a single byte, the number '8'On the Rpi it looks like this:The STM32 reads this as 11 Here it looks l

Hello,Our Device will be going to very Highly Noisy Hazard Environment Industry, We want to make sure device will work in any situation, STM32WLE5CC is End-node with Lorawan and Multiple application functionalities like RTC, Display etc.In this environment, if Uart RX interrupt is enabled, then it may arise many unwanted interrupts, which can affect our device functionality.Could you please suggest us is above statement is true?Should we keep this Interrupt Disable in this environment?any other suggestion to keep device functionality safe in this enviornment.Thank You

Once again I'm struggling to find a clear source for a peripherals clock with STM32 MCU's.Most searching leads me to HCLK/2, so at a max HCLK of 180MHz I get 90MHz.However, looking at there reference manual for the STMF469 I see this:From an example linked here, I can see that the STM32H7B3LI has a divider to select the HCLK Division.I cannot, however, see this option in MXCube for the STM32F469, but it says that the clock speed could be HCLK/3.Any idea what's going on here?

So basically I'm trying to implement WebRTC and seems like aiortc is its python implementation right now:.Unable to manually install them using pip3 as it requires some dev-packages.I tried to install it as a layer using pipoe auto-generated recipe, but no luck as it goes on with errors. A working recipe and additions that has to be done to local.conf or CORE_IMAGE_EXTRA_INSTALL variable would be appreciated :smiling_face_with_smiling_eyes:.
