Hi everybody! Could please someone enlighten me on the data output format of the ADC1, on regular channels without oversampling, everything is set to default values? Just enabled one channel and converted it. The thing is, I use 2.5v internal reference, when I connect the input to GND, after conversion I get 0x3FFF, but when the input is connected to +3.3v, the data register reads zero. So please if someone could explain what is the data format and why do I get such interesting values.Thank you!

I'm looking for chip for my project. I don't understand about code of STM32L496ZGTx, what is the difference.

I am confused on the topic of new lib reentrant and RTOS.I use C++ and do some std::make_unique calls so malloc it's probably getting called under the hood.I have enabled the setting configUSE_NEWLIB_REENTRANT for RTOS and I am using heap_4 memory scheme. I am using a single core microcontroller from the family STM32L4.Is this enough to avoid problems ?I got confused by the posts on this topic by "nadler" and "mcuoneclipse"

I just tried to disable BOOT_CM7 for option-bytes using STM32CubeProgrammer and after applying, I can't connect to the MCU. I tried again with R192 shorted out, but STLink still can't connect to the MCU: "The interface firmware FAILED to reset/halt the target MCU"This is on STM32H747-DISCO board.

Hi, experts May you have a nice day! Recently, I am learning RM of STM32G474. I am a little confused about the bulb sampling function. It seems that this function cannot shorten the ADC sampling time, so what is the use of this function? hoping anyone can explain that. Thank you very much! best wishes!

Hi,I'm trying to configure a new project for STM32H747 (dual-core) in CubeMX. As you know, the max clock for the cores are 480 MHz for the M7 and 240 MHz for the M4. However, CubeMx won't allow any input beyond 400 or 200 for M7 and M4 respectively.Any ideas?Zaher

Currently, I am doing research, assessing feasibility and building a prototype of an NFC based product. I am discovering that the form factor for commonly available NFC tags are not going to meet my needs. So I need to start looking at something custom.I am not an expert in the NFC field and I am still in early stages of research but I am quite serious about getting this done. Also, I have made prototypes that do work but like I mentioned above, the commonly available tags will not meet my form factor requirements. The basic parameters of my needs are as follows:1) Need to be able to operate on carbon fiber and metal (ferrite backed tags work in my testing/prototypes)2) I need the tag/antenna to operate over a large field. I am currently working with the idea of antennas at 45mm x 100mm. I have used the online inductance tool ST provides to get a design that might work: eds.st.com/antenna/#/ but I know very little about antenna design and testing. Can someone help me understand how I wou

I'm using Keil (Scatter file, not lnker) and I have a bootloader and a place for two images (one active and other is for the over the air update).i use Cortex M0 processor where there is no Vector Table Offset Register and i used to copy the vector table from flash to sram. The problem here:1. I do the ota update using the application and not using the bootloader.2. I build the firmware for a specific location and when the ota update is happening the active application (which is in slot A) is downloading the new image in Slot B (but the image is built using the linker script for slot A).3. When I jump from bootloader to app using the function pointer (I see the function ptr is holding the right address.)4. But when jumping it is creating a hard fault. 5. So the image built for a specific place should only be used there? Can't I use it for other slots (I also look for page alignment)? if not what can be the possible reason for hard fault?

I have done the implementation of 3 wire SPI using DMA and when I do SPI transfer usingHAL_SPI_Transmit_DMA(&SPIx_handle, (uint8_t *)TxBuffer, 8u); the HAL_SPI_GetState(&SPIx_handle) is stuck at HAL_SPI_STATE_BUSY_TX.Not changing the state. My configuration of SPI and DMA is similar to this query : STM32F405 SPI Transmit using DMA not workingThanks in advanceEdit: First time posting query here, if anything needed additionally please commentEdit 2: Earlier mentioned HAL_SPI_STATE_BUSY, updated to HAL_SPI_STATE_BUSY_TX

I'm trying to get the SPI communications to a peripheral handled by the DMA. I have reviewed the STM32L0 reference manual, and LL libraries, as well as close examples. I am able to get Tx operation working properly. However, I cannot get Rx to work. The Rx variable always shows as empty. I have been trying this operation in loopback mode, with an external connection between MISO and MOSI. Whatever I send should end up in the receiver variable location. However, this does not happen. Instead, the Rx data variable never changes. Can I get some insight here? while (1) { mdsendBuffer[0] = i; Configure_DMA(); Activate_SPI(); WaitAndCheckEndOfTransfer(); }void Configure_DMA(void){ /* DMA1 used for SPI1 Transmission  * DMA1 used for SPI1 Reception  */ uint8_t temp = 0; /* (1) Enable the clock of DMA1 and DMA1 */ LL_AHB1_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_AHB1_GRP1_PERIPH_DMA1); /* (2) Configure NVIC for DMA transfer complete/error interrupts */ NVIC_SetP

Hello,We are looking to use the Rocktech RK070ER9427-CTG, which uses a GT911 display controller for an upcoming custom board we are designing. In the current evaluation board I have (STM32H7B3I-EVAL), they use RK070ER9427-CT, which uses a different display controller (FT5336). We would like to still use the TouchGFX application to develop the display, but with a different controller and a custom board, I believe it would require significant driver changes and specific hardware. I would like some assistance to develop this as cleanly as possible. I have the following questions:1) Are there developed drivers for the GT911 so I can use the display with the new controller? I will likely be using the same MCU from the evaluation board.2) What are the core hardware pieces needed for the display? An MCU, SDRAM and QSPI is what I (think) I have identified so far, but is this all? Or would I need other things?Thank you in advance.

I am using for instance, ADC, UARTS, Timers, external interrupts, etc., all generated with cube. But I notice that cube doesn't always generate GPIO settings for certain pins. For instance, ADC1_IN4, when I select it using my board, an stm32f769i-disco, PIN PA4 is populated and not marked as modified in the GPIO section. When I look at the code generated by cube in the GPIO init section, there is no mention of that pin. This is also the case for TIM3_CH3 where PA6 is again preselected by cube and no GPIO entries are setup (in the generated code). lastly, usart1 follows the same pattern, where PA9 and PA10 are predetermined and no GPIO settings are generated in the resulting code. Does this this have to do with me selecting the stm32f769i-disco board and it defaulting the pins to specific functions? This is driving me crazy because certain pins can be used on more than one function (alternate functions) and with the board limitations, I am needing other pins.Lastly, I went through the G

Hello friends! I am quite new in STM32 programming. Today I was fighting with the ADC1 module and during debugging found out that the SFRs window didn't have the ADC12_COMMON registers section! Is it really so, or I simply cannot find it there? I program the NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q board. Also a tiny suggestion to the "big" 3000+ page user guide. In order to be able to successfully turn on the ADC1 LDO supply, it is necessary first to switch off the VDDA isolation in the PWR->SVMCR register. Yet, this fact isn't mentioned in the ADC1 section of the guide, so I almost broke my head trying to figure out why the ADC1 LDORDY flag didn't set! Hours later I found the solution in the internet. Since the guide is over 3000 pages, one cannot read it from top to bottom every day, so it would be extremely helpful, if the fact, that VDDA isolation must be turned off before the ADC1 supply turns on, was also mentioned in the ADC1 section. Thank you guyz. Happy to be here.

hii do you have evaluation boards that support python , with i can use python methods to control peripheral on the eval board like uart , ethernet etc..

I want to get mass data and display all these data on STM-Studio without delay.but, Using default setting [acquisition rate is Maximum, Select "Display all data"] , I can get and display mass data with delay. To get/display mass data without delay, Waht do you recomend for me ?I will try to modification the STM-Studio that was made by Java .I will try to modification the ST-LINK. I connect a external RAM to ST-LINK not to overflow RAM and not to delayAre these charanges good idea ?please hint for me.thank you.

I would like to view/modify values of registers while in debugging perspective, while the target is in running state. So far I have discovered that you can view registers only during pause(resume) of program in the SFRs window. Is it possible to have some type of continous refresh of registers values?

Please tell me why the wakeup pin numbers are shifted up by one in the HAL PWR lib?See.. https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00001DKQdnSAH/wake-from-standby-not-working-stm32h753iit6?t=1637613024141If there is a legitimate reason for this mapping, then why is it not documented anywhere? I had to infer the mapping and test it by trial and error.

Hi,I studied the RM0091 (page 55). There UART, I2C is listed as supported interfaces for the internal bootloader.I was wondering why the CAN isn't supported. Is this the case? Thanks

I am using Keil MDK to setup a project for STM32 devices. STM32cubemx is integrated into Keil and can be used to generate a skeleton for the project (main.c, stm32XX.c, .h files and stm32CubeMX.ioc, etc). This is helpful but some of the generated code contain duplicates of some handlers, like "void PendSV_Handler(void)". How do I stop STM32CubeMX from generating these defines?
