Hello,I know that has been asked a lot of times but i cannot get i2c work on my original stm32f103c6t6 mcu on a blue pill board.I tried to read a lot on internet but anything let me come out.I modified HAL_I2C_MspInit() as i read that i2c clk enable needed to be before the gpio clk enable, added also the reset.void HAL_I2C_MspInit(I2C_HandleTypeDef* hi2c) { GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct = {0}; if(hi2c->Instance==I2C1) { /* USER CODE BEGIN I2C1_MspInit 0 */ __HAL_RCC_I2C1_CLK_ENABLE(); //ADDED BEFORE GPIO CLK __HAL_RCC_I2C1_FORCE_RESET(); //RESET __HAL_RCC_I2C1_RELEASE_RESET(); //RESET /* USER CODE END I2C1_MspInit 0 */   __HAL_RCC_GPIOB_CLK_ENABLE(); /**I2C1 GPIO Configuration PB6 ------> I2C1_SCL PB7 ------> I2C1_SDA */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_6|GPIO_PIN_7; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_AF_OD; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_PULLUP; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOB, &GPIO_InitStruct);   /* Peripheral clock enable */ //__HAL_RCC_I2C1_CLK_ENABLE(

For example i want to write to the flash tow string variables.1. name of board2. verssionand every time I turn on the board I want to read them in to my code.thanks in advance

HelloI have a steval-spin3201. It includes stm32f031 mcu. I am programming it by using stm32cubeide. When I was testing PWM and dead time, I noticed that the one of phase output is not synchronous with mosfet gate signal.I shared the scopes below. Can you help me to understand?

Hello community,I use CubeIde to program my STM32 L051R6T6.Language is C.I do the following definition in a .c file:enum internalFaults{ internalFaultsTransmitPrepare, internalFaultsTransmit, internalFaultsWatchdogAlarm, internalFaultsTelegramsRxSequence, internalFaultsNoTelegramsReceived, internalFaultsTelegramsNotEqual, internalFaultsTelegramProcessing, internalFaultsMaxim5320EAI, internalFaultsUARTRead, internalFaultsUARTStartRxInterrupt, internalFaultsCount, };   const char* internalFaultNames[internalFaultsCount] = { "TransmitPrepareFault", "TransmitFault", "WatchdogExeededFault", "TelegramsRxSequenceFault", "NoTelegramsReceivedFault", "TelegramsNotEqualFault", "TelegramProcessingFault", "Maxim5320EAIFault" "UARTReadFault" "UARTStartRxInterrupt" };  There is no write access to internalFaultNames or to its char[]'s.But when I read from it strcat(message, internalFaultNames[faultIndex]);It only works, if faultIndex is 0 <=faultIndex<8.internalFau

Hey, how can i get the MTBF and operating life cycle data for STM32F76XVXT?

Hello? As title, I want to know product with USB, FD-CAN, 2~3 DAC, etc.Problem is USB and HCLK are bound(using external clock), so that upper limit is determined to be low.(48, 96, 144 MHz in maximum 170 MHz)For that reason, to ask the question, is there a product that has USB+FD-CAN and separated PLLSAI in 32~48 pins package? Please reply.

I have 2 I2S ports. I have a masterclock from an external source. My clock config is set for external 24.576Mhz I2S clock.I have set up I2S1 in half duplex slave mode for an ADC. It is receiving data in DMA.I have setup I2S2 in half duplex master mode for a DAC. It does absolutely nothing, except set the registers up exactly as per the reference manual.I2S is enabled in master. DMA has transfered the first byte to the output DR. Everythng is waiting on TXE to fire and I2S to send the byte, but... it doesn't.Further, it produces no BCK and hold LRCLK HIGH. Why HIGH? It's setup in standard I2S which expects the left (LOW) channel first. Why is it holding that line high? It should be low.I have run the logic analyser on it and the ONLY signal I see is the master clock, which is not from the STM32. NONE of the I2S pins move. The only way I can get any of them to even trigger on an edge to hit NRST.I have had it working in master before, when it was generating the MCK output. My suspicion is

Hello,By analysing the encoder alignement procedure, it generates a magnetic field aligned with stator phase A (arbitrary name) by setting Iq = 0, Id = high_value.To do the same but with the adjacent phase B (for example), am I right saying I just need to set Iq = high_value * cos(120°), Id = * sin(120°) ?Thanks

The descriptions of FLASH_PECR bits 1, 2 (PRGLOCK, OPTLOCK) on page 103 appear to have the meanings of 0 and 1 swapped. For example, referring to PRGLOCK (Bit1) the RM says:0: The write and erase operations in the Flash program memory are disabled.1: The write and erase operations in the Flash program memory are enabled.see: https://www.st.com/resource/en/reference_manual/rm0377-ultralowpower-stm32l0x1-advanced-armbased-32bit-mcus-stmicroelectronics.pdf

Hi there,I am looking at STM32G031Kxxx (32pin LQFP) and am wondering whether it is possible to provide an external high speed clock source to this µC?The datasheet shows that in this package OSC32_IN and OUT are available, but for the HSE, there is only OSC_IN.So, a crystal cannot be used, but an external clock should be possible - if needed. Is my assumption right?

Is there a way to flash it ?

I still have problems with the STM32 Programmer with USB connection to Controller in DFU Mode! The programming is running through with a verify error and the controller still has the old programm? See LOG from the programmer! Read and Connect is always possible but programming always comes with verify error? I am using 2.11 CubeProg Any suggestions? 11:29:32 : USB speed  : Full Speed (12MBit/s) 11:29:32 : Manuf. Hi there, I've got an STM32MP157F-DK2 devkit, I managed to set up all the packages, including Yocto distribution (Distribution Package) and all seems to be working fine for me. Now I'm starting to modify ST distribution, just to get used to the environment. ... I'm working on the splash screens right now. I easily changed the Uboot splash screen: I only needed to modify .bb recipe for uboot splash and copy the correct images to the right folder. Now I'm trying to modify also the Kernel splash screen, and things started to get really confusing... I did some research and I discovered that the ST meta-layer seems to use a modified version of psplash script from Poky. I found that in the layer meta-st/meta-st-openstlinux/recipes-core/psplash/psplash-drm there's what I'm looking for. However, I can't figure out how to make things work properly. What do I have to change? What kind of images should I use? (I tried png 480x272 8bits depth but they seem not working) Thanks so muchSimone

I have created project USB Virtual Com Device on STM 32F407. I set size of parcel = 32 byte. When i send parcel and befor parcel ends byte will be "0" STM 32 don't read bytes after "0". If no "0" byte always is OK. What doe's it mean? How get full parcel with "0" bytes inside parcel?

Hello,I made my custom board with a STM32WLE5CC micro and I am trying to program it using the SW interface. I have a ST-LINK/V2 where I connect the SWDIO, SWCLK, TRACE_SWO, NRST, VCC and GND pins from my board. When I try to program it using STM32CubeIDE, an error jumps when the programing is at 92% (almost completed) . This is the error: When I try to connect to the device using STM32CubeProgrammer two things happen. First thing is what we can see in the following picture: When I try to connect in Normal mode an error jumps saying: "Cannot connect to access port. If you are trying to connect to a device with TrustZone enabled please try to connect with HotPlug mode" (which is weird because I never programmed this chip before, never touched the TrustZone)So, then I try to connect in HotPlug mode and works:  However I still cannot debug my program trough STMCubeIDE because the first error persists. Besides, I guess that I should be able to connect using the normal mod

Is it possible to change toggle button state?

Hallo in our company we use for a large Project a STM32 MP153a microprocessor. Currently I'm trying to write a Device Driver for the TDK ICM42688P Mems Gyro. We have connected the Gyro trough I2C with the Cortex M4 core within the MPU. Both devices are located on a custom PCB and the Gyro is routed to the I2C2 Interface of the MPU (I2C2_SCL = PZ6, I2C2_SDA = PZ7). The Gyro is the only Device on this Interface (I2C2). We use a I2C Voltage of 1.8V and both devices support these voltage. The I2C2 Interface is in the Polling Mode. For my driver I have to read multiple registers of the Gyro therefore I use the HAL_I2C_MEM_READ function of the STM32 HAL which is in the HAL generated from CubeMX. I noticed that I get random Communication Errors so I have written a simple testcase in which I only read the Device ID of the Gyro in a while loop. Here is the pseudo code of this testcase so you have an idea how it works:while(1){ retVal_e = icm42688pReadRegister(ICM42688P_BANK_0_WHO_AM_I, &regV

I have a project (https://github.com/carlk3/Digital-Automotive-Generator-Voltage-Regulator) that I've been developing in STM32CubeIDE on (Ubuntu) Linux. Now I want to move it to STM32CubeIDE on Windows. I'm using GitHub for source code management (SCM), and also, eventually, to share the project. I've tried a few different ways to clone the project from GitHub to Windows, but I haven't been able to come up with a buildable project in STM32CubeIDE. Most recently, I installed and set up EGit (Git integration for Eclipse), and was able to use it to Import the project, but it won't build. I get 3185 errors, 73 warnings. Here is a sample:../Middlewares/Third_Party/FreeRTOS/Source/CMSIS_RTOS_V2/cmsis_os.h:240:20: error: expected declaration specifiers or '...' before 'osThreadId_t' 240 | #define osThreadId osThreadId_t | ^~~~~~~~~~~~ ../Middlewares/Third_Party/FreeRTOS/Source/CMSIS_RTOS_V2/cmsis_os.h:510:24: note: in expansion of macro 'osThreadId' 510 | int32_t osSignalClear (o

Hello,I can successfully control my motor in torque mode and speed mode. However sometimes (randomly ?), at the first call to MC_StartMotor1(), after encoder aligment, the motor starts to spin in the wrong direction, faster and faster up to its max speed. This occurs more often in torque mode than in speed mode. When this occurs, the estimated Iq current has the wrong sign (normally on my setup, a Iq > 0 gives a speed > 0). So the PID in FOC_CurrControllerM1() effectively computes a command that will increase the torque in the wrong direction instead of a torque that would put it on the right direction.Any clue about this wrong sign ?What could I look at ?Setup:4 pole pairs BLDC motor3-sh Sensored FOC mode, 1024 PPR encoderIHM08M1 + Nucléo G474RE (or same with F401RE)MCSDK 6.0.0 (same with 5.Y.4)Thanks,

We have another problem with EEPROM emulation. We use STM32H723Z and store user configuration to flash as emulated EEPROM. I used driver from the H7 examples' directory as a basis. When we write the configuration heavily, after few days, there occurrs an ECC error and Hard Fault is hit. As the original driver didn't anticipate this, I added a code that after reset tries to read all the addresses and when HardFault due to ECC is detected, erase the whole offending sector, therefore the configuration is lost.Does anyone have any idea why the hard fault could happen? We will probably solve it by modifying our boards and using external EEPROM, but this is last resort to solve it this way. I think that there might be some bug in the driver but I cannot find it. I speculate that some of the writes can be interrupted for some reason?Karel

Hi,We want to use STM32H747I board in the end, but we don't know TouchGFX inside out.First of all, we made logo screen at simulator and try importing into STM32H747I, but didn't succeed. Is there a way to import project?

According to the TDA7377 datasheet, the standby pin 7 must have currents smaller than 5 mA. I am using the dual bridge configuration and have applied a 10 ohm load across pins 1 and 2 and the amplifier works great. If I want to output 2 A of current (pins 1 and 2) and a resistance of about 1 ohm, how can I drive a small load like that? From the datasheet, it seems that the standby pin would not allow such a small load. From page 6 of the datasheet, it says that the standby pin avoids the device being turned on when a resistive path of less than 16 ohms is present between the output and ground, but I need to support a load of 1 ohm between pins 1 and 2. The chip is on a pre-purchased PCB. Can I just disconnect pin 7 from the rest of the pins to be able to drive this small load?Thank you.

Hi guys,I'm quite new on the STM32 environment, I bought a couple of STM32WB55RG nucleo board, I programmed the M0 with the Thread_MTD firmware and the M4 with the example for Thread SED CoAP multicast. All software package on the SMT32CueIDE are up to date.I removed the J2 jumper and inserted a uA meter with logging capabilities. And I see that the device will never go under 600uA.I was expecting something about 1 magnitude lower (so 10-100uA), what am I missing?Best
