Hi!!

I am planning to purchase a ST7MC starter kit for my project. I would like to know if the starter kit can be used to control Brushless Servo motors, apart from BLDC motors. Can anyone help me in figuring out the differences between BLDC and Brushless Servo Motors and their operation.

Thanks!!

Hi Tanio

Sorry for the confusion.

I want to control the motion of a brushless motor and a stepper motor in a 2-dimensional space, for position control in a scanning system. Can I use the ST7MC starter kit for this. Does the ST7MC support stepper motor control and multi-axis motion control. I would also like to use an encoder with the brushless motor. Does the ST7MC have any provision for connecting encoders?

Thanks!!

Hi sada234,

could you better specify about your project specs...

Regarding the question you are asking for servos, surfing in the WEB you can find a lot of definition and the scopes where servo motor are used, tipically, in high-dynamic and position control drives.

Tanio
