Hello,

for the STM32F411, the new batch aquisition mode is announced. The datasheet tells that AN4514 should explain it, while the reference manual doesn't evne mention it.

Any deeper information welcome!

Thanks

I also just wanted to ask the same. In the STM32F411 datasheet there is a nice looking Appendix B.3 at the end referring to this BAM mode.

I would also like to know, whether this BAM mode works only in acquisition mode (which of course is very nice already for many applications), or whether it supports also the analog watchdog features of the AD system (so automatic wakeup from standby, if something AD limits are crossed...).

Further I compared the pins of STM32F401 and STM32F411. It looks like, that you can use the STM32F411 as a pin-compatible upgrade for the STM32F401 with double RAM, lower power, higher speed and doubled port speed. The only difference seems to be in the pins PA0, PA4, PA5, PB5 - these pins are 5V compatible in the 401, but no more in the 411 (just for curiosity: why exactly these 4 pins?).

... Further I tried to find anything concerning ''BAM'' or ''Batch'' in the 411 ref manual, but did not find anything there. In the power control registers there seem to be 2 more bits, but they do not seem to refer to the BAM stuff.

Hi,

The AN4515 (not AN4514) will be available soon...

Thanks for your interest.

Hi,

AN4515 (Maximizing power efficiency using STM32F411 Batch Acquisition Mode) is now available for download from this page: http://www.st.com/web/en/catalog/tools/FM147/CL1794/SC961/SS1743/LN1734/PF261643.

You can find there the pdf file for AN4515 besides to the firmware that you may use for test.

Welcome to all your feedbacks that will be helpful to improve our solutions.

Best Regards,
