STM32CubeMx can't establish a connection when I run "Check Connection" under connection parameters.
What ports do I need to have enable for the STM32CubeMx to be able to connect to the update server?

Hi @Community member ,
Are you behind a proxy sever ? Or you are using a direct Internet connection ?
Are using Window OS or another OS ?

I'm using windows 10. I'm not sure if I'm behind a proxy or have a direct connection. We are migrating to a new system and I can't get STM32CubeMx to work in that new environment. It works fine on my old environment (windows 7) with proxy and without proxy.
I would need to know what to tell the people responsible for the firewall or similar what ports to enable.
On my windows 7 machine (where it works) I saw activity on 163.171.134.109:80 when testing the connection.

I think that you should contact your support infrastructure team [if you are in a company].
The port is used only if proxy is set and there is no special one, it can vary from proxy server to another.
Are you able to navigate correctly when you open your browser ?
If yes, try to select in MX 'No proxy' or 'Use System Proxy Parameters'

Problem solved. I had to go through a proxy.
