Assume for a moment that the target user is a regular person, not someone who knows that applications are stored in /Applications, you have to fire up Terminal, and cd into an app and navigate down to where the the actual programs are kept, and sudo to execute them.
The issue is when Cube decides that you need to be an administrator, that isn't a thing where you can just right click on the app and choose Run as an Administrator (darn you microsoft, I'm already an administrator, why do I need to do the right click dance???) . There is no "needs to be an Administrator", that translates into "needs to wave magic chickens and recite cryptic chants".
So, to update from 6.3 to 6.4 you have to be an administrator, fine, you just put up a big roadblock to updating. Now you have to drop down to command line, cd into a nearly random directory, execute something that is very hidden, prepended by the world's most dangerous command. And you need to just know this because there are no explicit instructions, just "needs to be an Administrator"
Are you sure this is the best user experience?
Just sayin.

Sorry, the correct answer is to bring up a dialog box that asks for the admin password, then just do the install.
