STM32CubeIDE THROWS EXCEPTION

above is the error that appears while I am creating a new project with STM32CubeIDE

Any idea what's going on here?

Has anybody actually gotten this stuff to work?

Hello there!

What's going on is that the integrated MCUFinder seems to have a problem launching correctly.

What operating system are you using? Worst case scenario you might need to reinstall STM32CubeIDE. However, what happens if you try to import an existing project? That shouldn't call MCUFinder.
