Can't create a workspace/project with the STM32CubIDE 1.3

Hi,

When I try to create a new workspace in latest STM32CubeIDE 1.3, There is a split second where you see the small disc indicating processing, and then looks like it aborts and nothing happens.

I notice that it can work with existing projects/ workspace created by SW4STM32. So the work around is to create the workspace and copy over the projects with SW4STM32 and continue on STM32CubeIDE as a work around.

Any one else having this problem? Any feedback on this is welcome because with this problem, it's just as productive to stay on SW4STM32.

I should state this is with MacOS; I also got this message " The application “SetupSTM32CubeMX-5.4.0? can’t be opened." when trying to open MX from within STM32CubeIDE." The actual MX version used is 5.6.0.

This is with a nucleo G474 board.

A bit lost here myself about your comment.

+ You're claiming to rely on STM32CubeIDE but getting some STM32CubeMX installer notification (SetupSTM32CubeMX-5.4.0 is MX tool installer binary name) so ?

+ Sounds you're mixing workspace and project wording. Only way to create an Eclipse workspace is either at application launch or relying on File > Switch Workspace.

Please add some details / snapshots / ... to give community a chance to help you.

Hi Cartu38,

When I talk about the CubeMX program, I'm invoking from the STM32CubeIDE context by clicking on the .ioc file type. In the meantime, I temporarily went back to the SWB environment. Let me see if I can capture more info. when I go back to the STM32CubeIDE environment.

Thanks
