I am trying to make sniffer for STM32WB BLE application work, (ref: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/Connectivity:STM32_Sniffer_for_BLE_Setup_guide). I am stuck at step 4.1. I am unable to get "STM32WB sniffer interface" on Wireshark. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling all software, but no luck.
Thanks in advance for help!

Hi,
Just to confirm, have you properly programmed your board(s) (step 3)? Are they properly connected to the PC and the COM port recognized?

Hello Joé,
I looked into the device manager. I see that "STMicroelectronics Virtual COM Port (COM7)" shows
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
{Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful.
Is this the problem? I tried re-programming (both firmware and stack) the MCU and re-installing Wireshark, but no luck.
Please help!

Hi,
I ran into the same problem that the hardware platform is NUCLEO-WB55RG.I followed the https://wiki.stmicroelectronics.cn/stm32mcu/wiki/Connectivity:STM32_Sniffer_for_BLE_Setup_guide#Programming_the_board wiki step by step.The wireshark version is 4.4.2, based on windows11.
Sniffer interface do not appear.
I saw a solution to this problem in the wiki and tried again, but the problem still existed.
How do I know that the sniffer protocol stack is started properly? There is no corresponding file/wiki to explain what happens when the sniffer firmware starts.
Please help!
