Token Not Assigned to End Device on Sigfox Backend Server

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are doing well.

I am currently working on a South Africa-based project involving a smart water meter. In this project, the end device sends water meter data (e.g., configurations, usage, etc.) hourly to the Sigfox backend server.

The end device is configured with an ID, PAC, and Key for the South Africa region (RC = 1) as provided by the Sigfox build team. The end device is located in South Africa, and I am conducting tests within the country.

For the end device, I am using the Sigfox_AT_Slave example provided in the STM32WL repository. The device is successfully registered on the Sigfox backend server using the provided ID and PAC, and I have one available token for device registration.

After registration, I noticed that the token field on the backend server shows "?" (not assigned). According to the Sigfox support guide, this token should automatically be assigned once the device sends an uplink.

My issue:

The device successfully sends uplink data multiple times using the AT commands in the Sigfox_AT_Slave example.
However, the backend server does not assign the token to the device, and the token state remains "?"
This situation is confusing, and I am unsure why the backend server is not assigning the token to the end device, even though uplinks are being sent.

I would greatly appreciate any insights or suggestions for resolving this issue.

Thanks in advance for your support!

Taksh.
