A question about the STM32WB55RG dev board

NicRoberts
Associate III

I've been doing some BLE development using STM32WB55RG mounted on Nucleo-68 board. Our end product is very space constrained & doesn't need all the headers, switches etc that the board provides.

So I took a loser look at what we could save space by removing & immediately noticed that there is a STM32F130CBT6 on the board. I take it this is dealing with the ST-Link?

I am relatively new to the STM32 eco-system so am aware that this my be a dumb question but, is it possible to still use ST-link without this & just use the STM32WB55 with ST-Link?

You mean the NUCLEO-WB55RG ?

Yes the NUCLEO-WB55RG, I was away from my desk when I sent the message & couldn't remember the exact name.

Do I need the STM32F130CBT6 to control the ST-Link to program a WB55RG or is it included on the NUCLEO for ease of development?
