STM32F777 new revision 1

I've bought some new STM32F777BIT devices with datecode 145 marked with a new revision code 1.

All my older STM32F777 was marked with revision Z and current errata sheet ES0334 Rev 7 mentions only revisions A and Z.

What are the differences between revisions Z and 1?

There is no difference between rev Z and rev 1, just it is not from the same Fab. The errata sheet will be updated soon.

Good question, no mention in any docs. It does use die from a different diffusion line (fab), so might have needed a new mask set. I'll flag upward.

- "VG" for ST Rousset (France)

- "VQ" for ST Crolles CR300 (France)

- "9R" for TSMC Fab14 (Taiwan)

Thank you for explaining the symbols, very interesting.

I assumed that "PHL" means that most production steps are executed on the Philippines for both revisions Z and 1.

The new production capacities give some hope that availability will be better this year...
