STM32F446RE Still Not Responding

Hello,

I am working with an STM32F446RE, and oddly, I am able to get one pin to set HIGH using HAL and/or direct register manipulation, but if i try to use two or more pins the debugger console prints out "Device not responding" repeatedly before shutting down. This happens with the BOOT0 pin connected to HIGH, Pulled HIGH, Floating, Pulled LOW, or connected to LOW, as well as any configuration of BOOT1. This error occurs with the HAL library or using register manipulation, and I can not seem to work past this. This occurs on both the STM32 units I am working with, what am I doing wrong?

Just to clarify, this happens with any configuration of pins, but always happens when two or more pins are HIGH at the same time. Furthermore, crashes also result when trying to send serial via the HAL library.

Custom board? can you show the schematic and code you use to drive the pins.

i have project with the same mcu under developement and i cannot reproduce such issue.

FFS, PA13 and PA14 are the primary debug interface pins

Up vote any posts that you find helpful, it shows what's working..

What I am trying to say is this happens with ANY two pins I configure, I am aware of the debug pins (using micro-usb-b to computer port, via ST_Link), and the issue still occurs.

for a reason - suspected inadeqate power supply/ground/decoupling/VCAP.

Check (physically, suspecting bad solder joints) if all ground and supply pins are connected (including the analog ones).

The code you posted is supposed to give the results you’re getting. Because you’re disabling the stlink pins.
