Hi,
You know, there are some strict requirements about MCU used in optical module or production, which include
1. Size and package
2. Internal resource
3. IO amount, especially ADC and DAC with >= 12bit resolution which be used to monitor signal and control
4. Power efficiency
Could you please recommend latest ST MCU which are used widely in ultra high-speed optical module such as OSFP and NPO? or, share me roadmap about ST MCU series used in optical production?
Thanks in advance!
Best regards!
Jason

Hello,
If you are looking for an MCU having I3C, STM32H5 series and STM32U3 series feature this interface.
For more specific questions on "optical applications" I suggest you to contact your local sales or FAE as here in the community we don't have a such visibility.
Thank you.

Hello,
STM32 are general purpose MCUs. There is no specific STM32 targeting optical applications.
You can use ST MCU finder or STM32CubeMx to fine tune your findings and select the MCU part number that fits your application needs.

Hi,
Thanks a lot!
I know STM32 are general purpose MCUs, but maybe some feature of ST MCU are optimized or suit for given application. Recently, I hear about some new feature of ST MCU for optical production, such as I3C. If you know detailed information about optical production which used ST MCU as control and configuration unit, please share with me freely?
Thanks in advance!
Best regards!
Jason

Again, that has nothing specifically to do with optical production - it's just an industry-standard interface:

You can identify which STM32s have I3C (and other criteria) from the various selection/search tools:

Distributors often have good parametric search tools ...
