ST link unable to connect STM32F205

PNova.2
Associate II

Hello
I swapped STM32F072RBT6 for STM32F205RCT6 on the board (I needed more RAM) and even though the cases are pin-compatible (LQFP64) ST llink v2 reports that it cannot connect to the target.
ST link works reliably on STM32F072RBT6.
I tried to connect via CUBE IDE debug and CUBE programmer - the result is the same.
Soldering checked.

The cases are NOT pin-compatible. Note the VCAP pins - they must NOT be grounded but connected to external capacitors. Also, from my experience, fiddling with connect options may help (normal vs. under reset, etc.:

Thanks
so I will have to use the same family because changes on the PCB are no longer possible.
Otherwise it would be easy - I would bypass the capacitors.

Look at L4 and L0 families - they should be pin-compatible with F0.
