Problems with STM32F030 or bugs in St-Link Utility v. 3.4.0 ?

I'm developing a circuit that uses STM32F030 chip. I use ST-Link programmer embedded in STM32 M0 discovery board and ST-Link Utility software v.3.4.0. ST-Link connects correctly to the STM32F030 chip but I noticed that ST-Link incorrectly detects device type - it reads STM32F031 instead of STM32F030. Is it possible that there is a bug in ST-Link Utility ? Another problem is that i cannot program flash memory - when programming is started, an verification error message box is displayed. I cannot program option bytes either.

Reading of STM32F030 flash works OK, but it cannot be programmed. Maybe i'm doing something wrong... I spent several hour for solving the problem but to no avail...

Hi k.r.001,

Using ST-Link Utility v 3.4.0 , I can connect to/erase/program STM32F030R8 chip embedded on a Nucleo board. ( Please see attached capture )

May be your problem is due to incorrect installation.

Please uinstall/install ST-Link Utility.

Best Regards,

Nouha
