Broken Forum Login

Posted on May 18, 2016 at 20:54

The forum has been a mess the last few days. Only ''sign-on to forum'' seems to work, entering username/password on message replies just results in all sorts of error screens/pages. TCP connect or somesuch.

Still not working for me, the forum is getting slower and flakier in my opinion.

I got this Replying to your post from a cold machine...

Proxy Error

The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.

The proxy server could not handle the request

/cas/login

.

Reason: Error reading from remote server

Same impression here.

PS. First attempt of this post got eaten by the ''STM32 > New Item'' syndrome. Usually, I see this only when I answer the initial post of the thread...

I had an odd situation last night where the main page said I was logged in, but I was definitely beyond the session time out, and it would let me open up replies, but then the Format Code Block dialog would come up with an error, fail, or send me to the login?

I've not had the ''New Item'' issue since the Reply feature has been broken.

I'd like to see the session timeout pushed from whatever few minutes it is now to a couple of hours of non-activity. I know that nails a lot of people creating a long/informative post, only for it to get eaten, and the back button won't recover it.

This bloody forum software is exasperating at times....

I am almost afraid to ask: hasn't the last weekend's system maintenance session fixed the problem, finally?
