Are the HSLV I/O's automatically set to work as HSLV?

I'm working with the h743 family and I'm trying to figure out how the HSLV (High speed Low voltage) I / O's work, because I don't want to use this option to avoid damaging the MCU, since my power supply is 3.3V. In more detail, I want to set FDCAN1 on pins PB8 and PB9, and in the datasheet these pins are said to be tolerant to 5 V and HSLV. I saw in the reference manual that HSLV is activated when certain bits of regitrators are set to 1. My goal is to use PB8 and PB9 without running the risk of the pin being working as HSLV. When the code is generated in CUBE, is the HSLV automatically set to 1? Would I have to manually go to those registers to disable HSLV?
