Hi There,
I'm bringing up motor using STM32F051C, FOC 4.3, sensorless, 1 shunt. In ramp stage, the motor can spin, but hear continuous noise. After about 20-30 sec, the motor stopped and noise continues.
Any suggestions for this issue?
Thanks.

Let's assume a couple things:
The summed duration in your ramp is longer than 30 seconds
The noise you continue to hear comes from the motor and not from any of the other circuitry
Your motor is not loaded.
If you have not experienced a good alignment of the motor at the beginning, it is possible that the advancement of the field is not well coordinated with the magnetics. The coordination may be close enough at the lower speeds, but as you ramp the difference gets larger.
Alternately, the slope of your ramp is too steep compared with the amount of current available to the motor. You can either reduce the ramp slope or you can add more current.
Best of luck with your deisgn

Hi Blauser, thanks for kindly reply.
I tried to increase the current and decreased the ramp slope, but no help.
After enabled open loop, motor can spin smoothly. Any suggestions or documents for next step?
I'm pretty sure hardware don't have issue, someone made it run before.

The question has been moved from the "Motor Control Hardware" section to the "STM32 Motor Control" section (the question is about the STM32 MC SDK).
