0693W00000AMxOaQAL.jpgI am using STEVAL-PCC009V2 along with EVAL6480H board. I am controlling it through SPIN EVALUATION TOOL VERSION 3.2 Overcurrent detection(OCD), stall A and stall B status are always in red. what may be the problem? Give me the better solution.

Hi @DGane.1,

from your screenshot the red light is the UVLO.

Keep in mind that it is a normal condition, in fact after power-up, the device state is the following:

  • Parameters are set to default
  • Internal logic is driven by internal oscillator and a 2-MHz clock is provided by the OSCOUT pin
  • Bridges are disabled (high impedance)
  • FLAG output is forced low (UVLO failure indication).

Before start working with the demonstration board, the device must be configured, the default configuration is not operative.

The overcurrent protection and the stall detection are implemented by measuring the drain-source voltage of the MOSFETs, hence their value is a voltage and not

a current. The protection thresholds are set according to the voltage drop caused by the target triggering current on the MOSFET RdsON at the expected operating temperature.

For more details on the protection setting refer to L6480 datasheet and board user manual UM1685
