Why the computer can't detect the STLINK interface or the device manager doesn't show the unknown device after plugging in the stlink?

If it doesn't even show up as an unknown device, that means the computer is not seeing it at all.

Are you sure you are using a proper data cable - not just a charging cable (with no data connections) ?
