I want to start development with uClinux on a STR7 So I downloaded the Application Note 2119 from ST, ''Getting Started with uClinux for STR710''.
But the first step already produces a failure.

tar: unexpected EOF in archive
tar: error is not recoverable: exiting now

I tried it in Cygwin running under Windows XP Prof., Damn Small Linux (DSL), Knoppix and at last on a Debian installation - but I get this error on every system. I even tried two different computers.
What system works with the description of the application note and what version of it?
