Hi Friends,
I would like to know the support for porting linux 2.6 kernel to STR912FW44 based EVB. If so, Please let me know what are points/steps need to care for. Regards Krishna M2011-05-17 12:47 AM
Krishna,
You've probably seen which talks about the no-mmu port of Linu 2.6 to ARM. However, it doesn't look like it has any development on it for 2 years, and it only supports 1 samsung processor, so there is probably a lot of work to be done. -Mark2011-05-17 12:47 AM
Hi
I agree with you on the MMU required for Linux porting. But I came to know that the Linux 2.6 kernel can work without mmu hardware support. I would like to have clarification on this. For 2.4 kernel MMU hardware support must. Regards Krishna M
