8 and 16 bit peripherals on ST10 EBC

If enabling WRL/WRH (WRC='0') for two 8 Bit RAMs, is it still possible to write to a 16Bit Chip and to a 8Bit Address/Data Multiplexed Chip (by /WRL->/WE)?
Or do I have to stick to WRITE/BHE mode to access them?2004-10-13 09:09 PM
Sorry, I should have mentioned, that it is a ST10F269.
And to clearify my worries: When I'm using the /WRH and /WRL for the two 8Bit RAMs, what happens when I write an odd byte address at the multiplexed 8 Bit Bus (of another CS-window)? Is this done by /WRITE(WRL)? And what happens if I write a word of the 16 Bit Chip in a third window? Is Write (WRL) activated (together with WRH)? Has anybody experience in than? Thank you.2004-10-14 04:26 AM
Thank you for your reply. I've read these two threads allredy.
I want to connect 4 chips to the ST10F269: - two 8bit RAMs (CS1) - A 16Bit parallel Flash (CS2) - a 8bit address/data multiplexed CAN Controller (CS3) (yes we need more than two) So I'm wondering if it is possible to use the WRH and WRL for all of them. If not, If got to use Write and BHE/A0 for the two RAMs and some glue logic. The flash has no 8 bit write access, so it might work to connect it to WRL. And if the ST10 uses WRL even for odd byte addresses at the multiplexed 8bit bus of the CAN controller it would work. Any opinios? Thank you2013-01-22 03:56 AM
Hello Ottmar,
i understand its an old post, but do you still remember your solution to the third requirement. :) any kind of assistance would be of great help. Rgds
