What is the difference between destructive reset and functional reset triggered using the register MCTL ? Is it possible to clear the standby RAM with destructive reset triggered from software?

On what specific part? STM32 is a broad, and broadening definition.

The question is specific to SPC584Cx/SPC58ECx 32-bit MCU family

Then the selected sub-forum "STM32 MCUs" is incorrect.
The SPC584Cx/SPC58ECx are Power architecture, the STM32 are ARM Cortex M. Quite a difference.
