Hi,
Greetings!
We are planning to use ASM330LHHTR in our design. As per the datasheet of Gyro sensor chip, it is recommended to have a decoupling capacitor of 0.1uF+10uF (Aluminum). Since we don't have enough space in our board to accommodate the Aluminum capacitor, can we use 10uF ceramic instead of 10uF Aluminum?
Please let me know your thoughts and will it have any impact on the design?
Regards,
Sowmiya

@Sa.11 You can but pay close attention to one particular aspect of ceramic capacitors: derating. Derating effect starts to be visible in 1+uF capacitors and in 10uF is usually significant. Check manufacturer specs of the particular capacitor since capacitors can substantially differ in derating. Murata and TDK provide full specs online, usually automotive-grade ceramic capacitors have lower (better) derating. Suppliers usually do not provide this parameter info. Alternatively, just use two 10uF capacitors parallelly, rather than one 22uF.
