Spirit1 PA Configuration

Hi,

Which PA configuration parameters should I use in order to get the maximum output power on Spirit1 and which CWC (0 - 1.2 - 2.4 - 3.6 pF) bit field should be set for 868 MHz band?

According to the datasheet the max output power is +11dBm or +16dBm for two different test condition. Then in the registers table it is +12 dBm for the PA_LEVEL_7. This is the highest level for the highest power. Which value should be set to POWER_DBM for max output power? I use 868MHz band with range extender. I perform the communication with GFSK_BT1 modulation at 115200 datarate.

Hello,

In the SPIRIT1, the max RF output power is achieved by setting PA_LEVELx = 1.

In our reference kit the CWC best setting is 0.

For +16 dBm, there is a specific configuration, please have a look at the User Manual UM1657 section 1.2.1 ''Boost mode''.

If You use the range extender reference kit the max RF output power is 27 dBm.
