STM32CubeIDE ask for st.com account - how to deal with this in a classroom

Hello,

I have some issues with STM32CubeIDE and the use of a middleware in a classroom. The goal is to teach the students to use the software and the LoRaWAN middleware however with have some issues where STM32CubeIDE ask for st.com account for .ioc compilation and code generation (even if we had the LoRaWAN middleware installed by hand).

How can we have a working configuration for a classroom without asking all students to create an account ?

Bests regards,

Hello @Raserber

First I want to thank you for posting.

In fact to download firmware packages to create projects, you need to connect to your st account in STM32CubeIDE.
Check the STM32CubeIDE user manual UM2609 section 1.2.3 STM32CubeIDE user authentication for more details.

BR,
Semer.
