Hi, I am looking to use AEK-POW-BMSWTX battery management system for EV related battery management experiments. Please let me know if I can use AEK-POW-BMSWTX with STM32 microcontroller boards. Also please let me know if any other boards are required to perform experiments with AEK-POW-BMSWTX.

Thanks and regards

Hi,

Yes, you can use AEK-POW-BMSWTX with STM32 microcontroller board, but you have to port the code from SPC58EC or write it by yourself.

The AEK-POW-BMSWTX supports 14 series batteries, if you need to add more, then you need to connect in daisy-chain other nodes like AEK-POW-BMS63EN. Each node will have max 14 cells in series, and you can have up to 31 nodes.

The code is available and configurable in AutoDevKit only for SPC58 microcontrollers (e.g. AEK-MCU-C4MLIT1).

Hi, from the documentation and autodevkit demo pdf it is not clear whether I can perform experiment using only STM32 and AEK-POW-BMSWTX. Can you clarify if I need any other boards (AEK-POWBMS63EN, AEK-COMISOSPI1, AEK-POW-BMSHOLD) apart from these two to perform battery management related experiments?

Hi,

Yes, you can use STM32 and AEK-POW-BMSWTX without any extra board. The only additional thing you need is the 14 cells to connect to AEK-POW-BMSWTX. Here you have the option to use or not to use our battery holder AEK-POW-BMSHOLD.

Thank you for the information. Is there a reference manual for the AEK-POW-BMSWTX, the document (DB5197 - Rev 2) given in the website has minimal technical information? Please let me know how to access the reference manual for the board.
