Is there any tutorials on creating a custom board with a cheap 5" or 7" TFT Touch screen? The only cheap disco board STM32f746G Disco only has a 4.3" screen. I need something bigger unfortunately.I assume a lot of other components would also be required for the basics, ex RAM/ROM/Flash etc. Total newbie here though :)
Hello!I have problem.Important - this problem occurs not only whenI use TOuchGFX. This problem uccurs then I init LTDC and try to draw rectangles with DMA2D using simple functions, without any librariesThis probleb is only when I use RGB888I try tp draw blue rectangle an I get color stripes - red at right and at green at the left sides of pictures or rectangles. The appearance of artifacts depends on the coordinates of the beginning and end of the lines. If end coordinate of line is even - no artifact. If end coordinate of line is odd - green stripeIf begin coordinate is 0 and 1, or 4 and 5, or 8 and 9 - there is no artifactsIf begin coordinate is 2 and 3, or 6 and 7, or 1 and 1 - I get red stripe at the left sideFor better understanding:I use STM32F746, 32-bit SDRAM, CubeMX 5.6, Keil 5, HAL LibraryTHis is code of DMA2D initstatic void MX_DMA2D_Init(void) { hdma2d.Instance = DMA2D; hdma2d.Init.Mode = DMA2D_M2M; hdma2d.Init.ColorMode = DMA2D_OUTPUT_RGB888; hdma2d.Init.OutputOff
Hi All,I am working on a bootloader for STM32F429ZIT6. And for the project we are using Touch GFX and FreeRTOS.The problem I have currently is:If I create a regular project without touchgfx code or free rtos code in it. I can properly jump from bootloader to user application. But If I create a project with either TouchGFX or FreeRTOS The jump is failing from bootloader. But I can run this project using debug normally.I read a lot of posts online regarding this. And everyone have to say something with Interrupt but none of the solutions are working. Below is my codeBOOTLOADER.(where I am jumping to user application) if(!bootLoaderVerifyCRC(rxBuf, packetLength - CRC_PACKET_LENGTH, hostCRC)) { bootLoaderSendAck(1); uint32_t goAdre
i am relatively new to microcontrollers and had bought one of your boards not too long ago, the STM32F4 Discovery board that i purchased seemed to work fine the first time i connected it to my laptiop - the lcd came on and showed what you would expect from a computer startup on windows.the second day that i had tried to use my microcontroller to play around with a blinky program i saw that the LCD screen kept being all white and that my STMCEBEIDE project (or any) could not see the "target" for debugging let alone download something onto it. What is wrong ?i have tried to follow the steps in the user manual and i tried uninstalling and reinstalling, i have also updated my stmcube but nothing seems to work. I have tried holding reset while plugging but nothing there eithercan i get some help with getting my board to work ?
I am working with touchGFX on the custom board with STM32F746. A 2-screen touchgfx application works without problems when debugging with cubeMXIDE. It doesn't work when I remove the STlink and powerup it. I put a heartbeat to understand that the processor is working. If I comment out the line MX_TouchGFX_Init (), then heartbeat works after powerup. I am using QUADSPI bank1 and SDRAM bank 2. FreeRtos is not used.
Good Morning, i'm implementing a HMI with TouchGFX based on STM32F429V LQFP100 that not support SDRAM on FMC. In your opinion it's possible use an external SRAM instead of a SDRAM like IS42S16400 present on STM32F429I-Disco? I need to use external memory for graphic buffering (display could reach 640x480 pixel 16bpp)Thanks a lot
I have some trouble with the JSMOC method. In my application, one screen could contain many(over 3000) widgets.Because of the recursive JSMOC function,it can easily cause a stack overflow.Like this:
HELLO,,,, I am working on STM32L4R9AI-EVAL but the issue is! I am enable touchgfx with STM32CUBEMX version 5.5,and with X-cube TOUCHGFX ....i have configured everything as the tutorial of configuration of those versions ,,,I have compiled it succesfully but after burning on to the kit the LCD itself not switching on but it switching on when i have created project only with touchgfx ...and I think the problem is with the option LTDC...can give the information about how to configure the ltdc and how to make the lcd switchinh on....thank you in adavance
Hello people,,,,I am currently working on STM32L4R9AI-EVAL board.Basically my intention is that on the screen i already have a text which is not seen But when some interrupt occures i want to show that text....like i want to make the text bright...i think this can do by using alpha blending, but i can't able to implement alpha blending .I have searched in your web but there is know examples realted...if this can be do by alpha blending please give me the sufficient information and if posssible related examples....Thank you in advance:) ....
Hello,my problem is simple, but I don't seem to understand TouchGFX well enough to find the solution.I have created a simple GUI with TouchGFX Designer. The GUI of this project consists of 1 screen "Screen1" with an image "image1". As usual, TouchGFX Designer adds this image1 in Screen1ViewBase.cpp.I want to change the visibility of image1 at a certain point of my application sequence. For this, I have added the following function to Screen1View.cpp:void Screen1View::ChangeImageVisibility(){ if(Screen1ViewBase::image1.isVisible()) { Screen1ViewBase::image1.setVisible(false); } else { Screen1ViewBase::image1.setVisible(true); } Screen1ViewBase::image1.invalidate();}When I call ChangeImageVisibility() from my application, the image is still visible. I checked in the debugger, ChangeImageVisibility() is
Using the 469/479 series. I'm using a CLUT based 8-bit pixel format, the DMA2D register to memory operation seems to only allow 32-bit sized transfers, is there a way that I'm missing to transfer in 8-bit increments? Thanks!
I am integrating Tough GFX into my Application and I have observed in order to get it to compile I have had to use hardware floating point (-mfloat-abi=hard) but another modile library requires SW/HW floating point. (mfloat-abi=softfp). I want to know if I can use Touch GFX using SW/HW floating point (mfloat-abi=softfp).If there a way to use bot in a project. The Touch GFX is using C++ while the other module us using C. But need some help here.
Currently (template v2.2.0) in TouchGFX Designer (4.13.0), the only supported IDE is IAR. Is STMCubeIDE going to be supported? I see that other templates have this support. I bought this (very expensive) dev kit so I DIDN'T have to wire up all the support pieces, but so I could evaluate the platform.I also don't understand why in CubeMX I have to manually configure the graphics when using the board template. Shouldn't that all be pre-filled when I start a new CubeMX project with the selected dev board?

EDIT:The main problem here is the initialization of the RTC clock. Is there known problems with initializing the RTC clock within a TouchGFX project?I'm having no luck with initializing the RTC in the context of TouchGFX.ORIGINAL POST:I'm working with the STM32F769I-DISCO board trying to get it to work with Standby Mode with RTC wake-up.I downloaded an example project here which demonstrates the use of low power modes with this board.I got it to do everything I want in this example program, but when I try to integrate it with my TouchGFX project, the RTC clock does not always initialize properly. The only way I can get the RTC to initialize properly is to first flash the working example project to the board, and then flash my ToughGFX project to the board. What might be the cause of this? Maybe the example project is changing some registers that I did not integrate into my TouchGFX project? Any advice?Thank you.
I have the OFF / ON button. I want one function in the system to be called when the button is pressed and another function is pressed. The button is set to TRIGGER / Toggle. How to do it?
What is difference between being a member of st.com and touchgfx.zendesk.com?When I click community in Zendesk, I end up at st? Why should I not just log in to st?What does Zendesk give me that ST does not?
I arange the all settings acroding to information on https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/203642951-MCUs-without-TFT-controllerand when I try to debug my software on my custom board it says "can not execute Mi commands load ..."when I comment the line "Bitmap::registerBitmapDatabase(BitmapDatabase::getInstance(), BitmapDatabase::getInstanceSize());" in TouchgfxConfiguration.cpp I can debug the system but touchgfx doesnt work. could you please help me about this issue?thanks
Hello!I try to create intefrace with physical buttons, following this instruction https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/205074551-Interfacing-with-physical-buttonsI Added ../Middlewares/ST/touchgfx/framework/include/platform/driver/button to include pathI created file Keysamper.cpp and added to it #include "KeySampler.hpp" #include "touchgfx/HAL/Buttons.hpp" using namespace touchgfx; void KeySampler::init() { //Initialise gpio for buttons here } bool KeySampler::sample(uint8_t &key) { // unsigned int buttons = ...; //sample GPIO //Return true if button 1 was pressed, save 1 to key argument //Return true if button 2 was pressed, save 2 to key argument // ... return false; }3. I created file Keysampler.hpp and added to itclass KeySampler : public touchgfx::ButtonController { public: KeySampler() { init(); } virtual ~KeySampler() {} virtual void init(); virtual bool sample(uint8_t& key); };4. I modified file TouchGFXConfiguration.hppKeySampler btnCtrl;
Hello All,I am using "STM32746G-DISCO" Kit.I am using the "Image widget" to display the image.I would like to change the "Image" on fix location on receiving the "CONNECT" & "DISCONNECT" status.I am using two different Image for CONNECT & DISCONNECT.Can you please guide me how do i update the image on receiving the "CONNECT" & "DISCONNECT" Status.I am using following API but when it run, It freeze the GUI.if(status == 1){image1.setXY(3.76);Image1.SetBitmap(Bitmap(BITMAP_CONNECTED_ID));add(Image1);}else if(status == 2){image1.setXY(3.76);Image1.SetBitmap(Bitmap(BITMAP_DISCONNECTED_ID));add(Image1);}please, Do needful for me.Regards,Nikunj Patel
Hello ST Team,I am working on USB HS HID Device only along with touchgfx +FreeRTOS in STM32F7 controller. But creates reading & writing Issue when touchgfx is included.I have even checked the clock but no use. 48Mhz is clock its proper.Any help would be appreciated.Thanks,Upender.
Hi, I have my own hardware that run without freeRTOS on STM32F429 with STemWin GUI.In the revision hw I'm evaluation to use UI based on Touch GFX latest ver 4.13 + CubeMX 5.5.0.Can I migrate my full application without use freeRTOS with Touch GFX UI?If the answer is no, creating 2 task should be a valid solution?task a) UI for Tocuh GFX;task b) applications with all state machine already developedIf the answer is yes (as read in the latest application note), do exist example of UI TouchGFX without freeRTOS?Thank you.Maurizio Brignoli
Hello In my touchgfx project , I have to do some power consumption works. I know there is a demo firmware for stm32L4R9 evel board. I want to take a look at clock configurations and chrom art accelerator enabling/disabling functions but I cant find this firmware. You can find firmware demo in youtube link. How can I find this firmware ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yx23qABOMwU
i have use example from TouchGFX Demo 1, ive gone through code but cant see anything obvious. with the 746 Disco board, above.i set up the project through TouchGFX designer, only one screen and copied code from example, here is the view.cpp i have canvas buffer set at 3600, and tried increasing by 1000. but no difference. iI dont have much experience , (student) so any pointers /advice would be appreciated.i have tried to search forum/google/documentation etc but had no luck as yet.thanks in advanceBarry#include <gui/screen1_screen/Screen1View.hpp> #include "BitmapDatabase.hpp" #include <texts/TextKeysAndLanguages.hpp> #include <touchgfx/Color.hpp> #include <touchgfx/EasingEquations.hpp> Screen1View::Screen1View(): currentAnimationState(ANIMATION_GAUGE), tickCounter(0) { } void Screen1View::setupScreen() { gauge.setBitmaps(Bitmap(BITMAP_GAUGE_BACKGROUND_CURRENT_ID), Bitmap(BITMAP_GAUGE_NEEDLE_PIN_ID)); gauge.setXY(image1.getX() + (image1.g
Hi, I have implemented a keyboard on TouchGFX and it works properly (the example keyboard). My objective is to make that the typed text with the keyboard appears in the textArea that i have selected. I tried it using the Wildcard text but it doesn't worked for me.Thanks, Dani.
