At first glance scroll List had given a promising way to handle the numereos menu items and seems more convenient for it, than to make a screen for the each one. But instantly raised a question, how to make a scroll list to work with different custom containers (menu items) instead of a templateone? The first tought was to use a container-aggregator ,wich holds all the containers needed, and to handle it in a "scrollListUpdateItem", but all the visible copies of that parental container will hold the full set of children container instances even invisble. So there is a question, how to make a scrollList work with a set of containers? Seems the good idea is to make an array of pointers to instances of needed containers (menu items) but the deep digging in update item callback required. Is there any chance to make it ,except the hard way ?
Hi all!So in our application we want to call the screen classes themselves in c. We have setup linking header files etc and we are able to call screen transistion via the frontendapplication with: #include <gui_generated/main_screen/MainViewBase.hpp> void transition(void) { static_cast<FrontendApplication(Application::getInstance())>gotoSetup_Boot_Branded_2ScreenNoTransition(); }But we want to call the screen classes themselves... is there an easy way to do this? I've been trying to, but only get error during compiling. Something like this: void transition(void) { static_cast<MainViewBase(Mainview::getInstance())>Progress_Update(); }Any help would be appreciated thanks!BestJacob
Hi Community,When I generate the touch gfx combined project using cubemx I am getting the following errors.Even though I gave the path, but still the errors exists.../TouchGFX/target/generated/TouchGFXConfiguration.cpp:18:10: fatal error: texts/TypedTextDatabase.hpp: No such file or directory. ../TouchGFX/target/generated/TouchGFXGeneratedHAL.hpp:21:10: fatal error: touchgfx/hal/HAL.hpp: No such file or directory. ../TouchGFX/target/STM32TouchController.hpp:24:10: fatal error: platform/driver/touch/TouchController.hpp: No such file or directory. ../TouchGFX/target/generated/OSWrappers.cpp:20:10: fatal error: touchgfx/hal/HAL.hpp: No such file or directory. ../TouchGFX/target/generated/TouchGFXGeneratedHAL.hpp:21:10: fatal error: touchgfx/hal/HAL.hpp: No such file or directory.Any suggestions to solve this would be greatly appreciated!Thank you.Vins.

Hello, Texture Mapper with L8_ARGB8888 image would display shake when update Z-Angle. But it works normally when used ARGB8888 image. Are there any restrictions on using L8_ARGB8888 images?
Hi, Sorry for the long post, I was looking at the TouchGFX documentation for UI development and had some clarifying questions about the current active screen limitations.as well as general SW architecture questions.I'm looking into creating a smartwatch UI with TouchGFX and am try to figure out the software architecture using the limitations of the software and if it's even possible. For my design, I was thinking of having screens for each application/widget, a home screen that has icons to open said applications, a settings menu, and a screensaver screen.According to the docs, it seems like there can only be one active screen at a time.https://support.touchgfx.com/4.20/docs/development/ui-development/software-architecture/screen-definition-and-mvpGiven the limitations, I was curious to see how to handle background events like interrupts or triggers to dynamically change the UI. For example notifications for unrelated applications or the ability to use media controls for videos/music no
Hi,I want to connect a display powered by TouchGFX to a PC via usb-c. Is it possible to allow internet connectivity for a GUI widget via the usb-c connection to the host PC?Thanks!
I have a 7" RGB LCD 1024x600 32bits framebuffer, the pixel clock is 51.2MHz for 60fps recommended in the datasheet.I tried to interface this LCD with an STM32H743i-EVAL2 board, which is working fine, until I began to try using 2 layers of 32bits (for smooth scrolling with transparency)But it doesn't work, it seems that the pixel clock required for this LCD is too high for the STM32H743 FMC Clock (200mhz) when using 2 layers of 32bits.I tried another board STM32H7B3i-EVAL with a greater FMC Clock speed (280mhz), but it's worse.Despite the greater FMC clock speed on the H7B3 my benchmark shows slower sdram access time than the STM32H743i-EVAL2.For SDRAM/FMC I'm using the configuration given in the STM32 BSP examples. The other solution would be to use a slower pixel clock, but this induce flickering on the LCD.I tried to look into the LTDC application note about maximal supported pixel clock for each STM32H7 controller but there are no info for 2 layers used, only 1 layer + DMA2D.The maxi
In the documentation, the file described is generated by IAR embedded workbench. I'm using cubeIDE. Where can I find the mapping file?

Hi all!I need to transmit data captured from DCMI to USB as a UVC Device Class. Is there any existing example that works? I have verified the DCMI Interface and it works fine. Now I need to transfer the data over USB-HS. I am using STM32H747IIT6 as my main controller, I also have SRAM connected to the FMC Port along with USB-HS ULPI Implemented on my custom board. How can I setup the USB-HS Middleware to be able to stream DCMI data? Thanks!
Hi Community,I wanted to interface external touch sensor to achieve following tasks.1) Slide to move the carousal icons.2) Touch to get into that particular application. Operations are happening with Touch Screen (STM32F769I-DISCO). I wanted to replace touch screen by External Touch Sensor. So, anyone is having idea how to get it done? /Vins
Hello,I am working on gesture events and getting a little bit confused. So, there is a method called sampleTouch that continuously checks if any new touch events are triggered (and used later on for example for click actions). So my question is:How to TouchGFX knows that a gesture is triggered:1- is TouchGFX able to do that independently: for example, by comparing the latest coordinates that were touched?OR2- Do we need to tell touchGFX that there is a new gesture event (triggered from the controller driver): if yes, how to do this: I mean, is there any method like sampleTouch that is polling and fetching for new gestures ... ?Thanks
I have a project that contained UI design using TouchGFX. Almost the code auto-generated by TouchGFX for STM32CubeIDE is lay on QSPI external flash. And after built in CubeIDE, I saw .bin file of project around ~2GBSo, I try to relocate all the section pointed to QSPI external Flash to Flash region by using Linker file. After that, .bin file have been built around 900KBSo what is the problem here? why the code lay on QSPI ExtFlash made the ".bin" file too large?
Hello. I create pdf files on my STM32 and save they to usb flash. And i want to add to files strings as images. So is it possible to render textArea to bytes array as bitmap?
Hi,Imagine I want to write the same string in two screens with a font X, with a font Y in another screen, and with a font Z in three other screens, how should I go about it with the current text management that offers touchgfx? Should I just create various resources like TEXT_1_SMALL, TEXT_1_MEDIUM and TEXT_1_BIG that all have the same text and a different font ? What's the best way to go about it?What I do as of now is shown in the following image: I just use the resources to define the style of the texts and then, I have a separate table with all the traductions, which allows me to print a same text with various styles. What I don't like is that by doing that, I have to bypass the 'touchgfx way' of managing texts. So the question is : is there a way of doing that through touchgfx without having to have multiple resources with the same text just because they have different fonts… ?Thanks in advance.

Hello,I'm using the version 16.1 of TouchGFX and when I generate the project on the simulator I get these error messages when I try to run the code in VS :I generate the project with the following text config: Any help is more than welcome.
I am working on a test on the stm32f469i_Discovery board. On the stm32f469i, the MIPI interface operates with the OT8009A LCD. Instead of OT8009A LCDs, it is planning to connect the stm32f469 with other LCDs.The LCD control IC uses the ILI9806E while the KD050FWFIA019.I got the initialization data from LCD provider, and I found out that it's for I2C communication.I think it's data. I2C communication data needs to be changed to the MIPI protocol.I don't know how. If anyone can help me, please give me some advice.
Hello, in the past two days I've been trying to get working STM32L053R8T6 on my board. I managed to isolate the error down to one setting in LCD module. When using static duty the MX_LCD_Init() init function passes and program executes like usual. But when I try to use all four COMS the CPU resets and in case of debugging it crashes/disconnects the probe. The moment it happens is when reenabling the LCD (in order to write into LCD CR register it has to be disabled) after setting any non static duty.It doesn't matter if I toggle the bit in STM32CubeIDE through ST LINK or in regular program execution. I checked all LCD pins by bitbanging GPIO outputs, which works, but I can't use multiplexed LCD like that, not to mention the current consumption would be too high. You should be able to reproduce this bug by enabling LCD module, checking any SEG output, and choosing 1/4 Duty Cycle, then 1/3 BIAS. I also use Debug Serial Wire and external Vlcd power but all other settings doesn't make any di
