I want to continuously measure the frequency of signal1 relative to signal2.Signal1 can vary between 1-80 MHz, signal2 between 5-15 MHz.My approach is:Timer1 counts signal1.Timer2 counts signal2 with a counter period of 200. This gives me an event roughly at 10 MHz / 200 = 50 kHz. When this happens, timer1 should be saved to memory (old values can be overwritten) and reset to 0.How do I implement this in STM32CubeIDE? Especially the "one timer triggers reading of the other timer" is not clear to me.

Sometimes I update old replies/post with small corrections (grammar or formatting) or adding additional comments (maybe the solution is outdated for a newer version of a toolchain and I will expand the solution for the newer version, for instance, or updating outdated links). Now I can no longer do that for comments older than a day. The button is missing. For newer posts it does have the button:It's very annoying. Are those new restrictions? What are the exact conditions? Don't tell me my spelling errors are now forever frozen in time and all answers will become outdated and obsolete?

Hi, I'm trying to adapt the SBSFU-Cube repository example for the B-U585I-IOT02A (STM32CubeU5\Projects\B-U585I-IOT02A\Applications\SBSFU, repository V1.7.0) to a custom PCB with STM32U585CITx. Since I don't have access to UART1 I changed it in com.h (both headers) and low_level_com.c to UART2. Also I'm using a J-Link, so I changed the connection configurations in the scripts accordingly. Since I don't have access to the BOOT0-pin I set the option bytes nSWBOOT0=0 and nBOOT0=1. Building the FW and running the scripts works flawless, also an investigation with STM32CubeProgrammer shows, that the binaries (Appli, Boot and Loader) are correct and at the flash-addresses where they are supposed to be. But when I reset the MCU after running SBSFU_UPDATE.sh there is absolute radio silence. Nothing shows on the Tera Term-terminal and also adding logs for Segger RTT viewer doesn't change anything, there's no feedback at all. I re-checked the option bytes, boot addresses, compared the flash

Hi, I'm trying to use only one dsi data lane with OTM8009A which has two data lanes. My MCU is STM32F769I-Eval and manuals said that this MCU has two dsi data lanes. However, I want to use only one data lane because my custom board has only one dsi data lane.I tried to change settings with Examples within F7Cube.In LCD_DSI_Videomode_SingleBuffer, DSI Settings value is in there, so I change NumberOfLanes value two to one, but LCD Display doesn't work.Is there any way to use only one data lane? Thanks.

I'm using a STM32U585AIIxQ. The firmware package is: STM32Cube FW_U5 V1.7.0. CubeMX version is 6.13.0.OCTOSPI1 is configured as Single SPI on port1 and OCTOSPI2 is configured as Quad SPI on port2.After initialisation only the last initialised OCTOSPI works, because HAL_OSPIM_Config() messes up the P1CR and P2CR registers of the OCTOSPIM.This problem was mentioned 2 years ago here: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/stm32-cube-h7-hal-ospim-config-corrupts-previous-port/m-p/126073#M22902and here:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-embedded-software/stm32cubemx-l4-v1-13-0-hal-ospim-config-corrupts-port/m-p/296420Why is this still not fixed?

Hello,I am using STM32H730ZBT6 with STM32 CubeMX V6.12.1 (I am not using the newest version because of the problem related in topic Downgrade STM32CubeProgrammer in STM32CubeIDE. I dont' know exactly if CubeMX would reproduce the problem, but for the case...) and I have detected 2 problems in code generation:1. Eventhough I am using peripheral SDMMC2 the code generated in file "fx_stm32_sd_driver_glue.c" is prepared for SDMMC1. Here a code portion as example: extern SD_HandleTypeDef hsd1; #if (FX_STM32_SD_INIT == 1) extern void MX_SDMMC1_SD_Init(void); #endif 2. If the option "Generate peripheral initialization as a pair of '.c/.h' files per peripheral", some erros ocur because "fx_stm32_sd_driver_glue.c" file doen't know where to find functions and instances, and is necesary to include "sdmmc.h" file. A part of those twoo problems, in functions "void HAL_SD_TxCpltCallback(SD_HandleTypeDef *hsd)" and "void HAL_SD_RxCpltCallback(SD_HandleTypeDef *hsd)" hsd is not used, so

Hi all,I'm trying to put some TouchGFX data (images, text, ...) in an external flash (S25FL128L) on a custom board with STM32H7B0VB mcu. I'm using the octo-spi peripheral as quad-spi.So, I follow the guide to make an external loader and I did it. It seems to work properly: if I load the .stdlr file in the STM32CubeProgrammer I can read, write, erase sector and mass erase the external flash. Also, if I try to debug (STM32CubeIDE) a project using the loader without putting elements into external flash all works and I can see all the memories. The ploblem occur whe I try to put somenthing inside the external flash. I do that in the linker script with TouchGFX sections: IntFlashSection and TextFlashSection. See the script below:/* Entry Point */ ENTRY(Reset_Handler)   /* Highest address of the user mode stack */ _estack = 0x20020000; /* end of RAM */ /* Generate a link error if heap and stack don't fit into RAM */ _Min_Heap_Size = 0x200 ; /* required amount of heap */ _Min_Stack_Size =

Hello everyone.I am currently considering using the STM32H735 AD converter. As shown in the figure, I have inserted a Schottky barrier diode and a 1kΩ resistor just before the ADC terminal pin for overvoltage protection.I was curious about the input impedance of the ADC pin, so I read the specifications, and I was wondering if RAIN corresponds to the input impedance? I will be using a 12-bit ADC, so in this case, will the impedance be MAX680Ω? If so, the signal level will drop, so I will have to reconsider the protection circuit.・What is the input impedance of the ADC pin?・If you are actually using this microcontroller, what type of protection circuit do you use?I would appreciate your advice.

I've been recently trying to implement code to display the time in hours and minutes via the UART terminal. I've run into the issue where the time is inaccurate and increases by a minute every second and am not sure what is wrong with my code. I use the Nucleo L476RG and have PB6 as SCL, PB7 as SDA, PA2 as USART_TX, and PA3 as USART_RX. Here is the clock configuration: Here is the main code: #include "main.h" #include "uart.h" #include <stdio.h> #define DS3231_ADDRESS 0xD0 I2C_HandleTypeDef hi2c1; UART_HandleTypeDef huart2; char msg[100]; void SystemClock_Config(void); static void MX_GPIO_Init(void); static void MX_I2C1_Init(void); static void MX_USART2_UART_Init(void); uint8_t decToBcd(int val) { return (uint8_t)( (val/10*16) + (val%10) ); } // Convert binary coded decimal to normal decimal numbers int bcdToDec(uint8_t val) { return (int)( (val/16*10) + (val%16) ); } typedef struct { uint8_t minutes; uint8_t hour; } TIME; TIME time; // function t

I am working with an STM32F303 and trying to generate a PWM signal on TIM3, Channel 1 (PA6). Everything seems to be correctly configured (verified in the debugger – registers appear correct), but there is no PWM signal on PA6. The function responsible for clock configuration worked correctly in the case of USART. In the IRQ handler, the flag registers are set correctly, which I verified using a breakpoint. I would appreciate any help in identifying the possible cause of why the PWM is not activating.          void configureTIMER3(void) { //PA6:D12 RCC -> APB1ENR |= RCC_APB1ENR_TIM3EN; TIM3->PSC = 711; //72mghz TIM3->ARR = 99; //PA6 } void clock_config(void) { RCC->CR |= RCC_CR_HSION; while (!(RCC->CR & RCC_CR_HSIRDY)); RCC->AHBENR |= RCC_AHBENR_GPIOAEN; RCC->APB1ENR |= RCC_APB1ENR_PWREN; // FLASH -> ACR = FLASH_ACR_PRFTBE | FLASH_ACR_PRFTBS | FLASH_ACR_LATENCY_2; RCC->CFGR |= RCC

I'm working on a custom PCB with an STM32H750VB and the ST-link is unable to find the target in both CubeProgrammer and St-link Utility via SWD, below are screenshots of some of the error messages I received and our microcontroller schematic. I've probed all of the VBAT, VDDA, VDDA, and VREF+ and they are all at 3.3V. All of the grounds are connected and are at 0V. I've tested the ST-link with a nucleo board and was able to connect to and program it. I measured VCAP1 and VCAP2 and they were at 1.008V, matching the voltage same pins on our nucleo board. The only odd thing I found was that NRST is at 0V when the board is powered. It's not shorted to GND and has a measured resistance of 16 Mohm. Even though the MCU has internal pullup on NRST, I tried adding an external pullup 10k but was still unable to receive a connection. Could there be an issue that my schematic is indicating? One possibility is that the chip could just be fried since the SWD connector pinout on the custom PCB w

Hello! I am struggling to get TouchGFX fully working on my custom PCB using a STM32u5A9ZJT (LQFP144). Everything compiles correctly and uploads. I can see my Screen1 background and button on my screen so at least that is working. But when I touch my button it does not transition to the next screen (as it does in the TouchGFX simulator when I run this code). Using my debugger i can see that the touch is triggering the external interrupt, and the coordinates are correct in STM32TouchController::sampleTouch but the expected screen transition never occurs. When comparing the IOC files between my working demo project and custom project, I noticed I did not have DCACHE enabled, but when I enable DCACHE I get a HardFault right after registering a touch. Setup background -- I began development with the Riverdi_50STM32u5a9. This was available as a board option on TouchGFX so I was able to create my project through TouchGFX first. However, the STM32u5 used in our custom PCB was not a board

I need IBIS model for part STM32F303RET6.Thanks in advance.

Our requirement was to create a LED driver circuit to power 12 strings of 7 LEDs from a 12V DC supply with a nominal current of 20mA per string.Using the STEVAL-ILL035V1 Development board data for PCB layout guidance and the LED7708 design tool spreadsheet for component selection we successfully built a prototype driver PCB and produced firmware to setup the on-board registers and control the LEDs for our application.Initial results were good and all appeared to be working as expected until we noticed that after a random period (5 to 10 minutes) the LEDs would go off completely and wouldn't recover normal operation untill the device was disabled (DEVCFG0.DEN = 0) and then re-enabled.When the LEDs go off the boost converter goes into a skipping mode of operation but no errors are indicated either from the XFLT pin or the status registers. After disabling/enabling the device, the LEDs would come back on normally but would then go off again some time later. Interestingly this would be a mu

Hi everyone,I'm currently working on a project where I need to interface an STM32 with the L9963E BMS IC from ST. Before developing my own driver, I wanted to check if anyone has already written a C library for this IC and would be willing to share it or provide some guidance. If you have experience with the L9963E and have developed a driver, I'd appreciate any insights, code references, or suggestions you can provide. Thanks in advance!

Hi AllI have the B-WL5M-SUBG1 board this uses the STM32WL5MOC mcu.The datasheet for the B-WL5M-SUBG1 board says that the RF switch uses PINS:SW_RFPC_5PC_3In the datasheet for the STM32WL5MOC I cannot locate SW_RF it does not exsit.  Also in the datasheet for the B-WL5M-SUBG1 Table 18 I/O assignment there is no reference to SW_RF. I do see SW_CTL?PC_5 and PC_3 are not in the table. I assume these are interal.  Help...

Hello,I am using a STM32H733VGT on a custom design board. On a fresh project in CubeMX, I tried to activate data cache but the autogenerated code crashes at  SCB_EnableDCache(); . (nothing has been activated on the CubeMX, just the external crystal and debugging port)i tried enabling or disabling MPU as well, same results.I need data cache for activating ethernet. Any help would be highly appreciated.

Hi There,I have setup TIMER4 on STM32G484 device for overflow event and enabled interrupt for events. Everything works fine and as expected with correct fire time if I RESET the CNT register in the ISR. However, if I do not, it seems to do some level of free-running.I only inquire about this, as in all of the STM32 reference manual images, when an overflow event occurs and it's been enabled to detect this, the CNT resets in the peripheral (as long as not single shot mode). So I'm just wanting to confirm that this seems normal and is not a hint that I've misconfigured something. Here are my configuration calls and ISR, I verify the ISR timing on the scope with a GPIO toggling (not shown here).    Register_t rcc_tim4_en = { .address = 0x40021058, .mask = 0x1, .bit_pos = 2 }; Read_Then_Write_Masked(rcc_tim4_en, 0x1); Register_t tim4_cr_dir = { .address = k_tim4_addr + k_timx_cr1_offset, .mask = 0x1, .bit_pos = 4 }; Read_Then_Write_Masked(tim4_cr_dir, 0); // Up coun

Good afternoon,  I am currently trying to calibrate my ADC4 of my NUCLEO U545 and I am using the following function: HAL_ADCEx_Calibration_Start(&hadc4, CalibrationMode, SingleDiff); As said before the first parameter is going to be the ADC4 that I am using but what about the other two parameters? What are they exactly? Do i have to declare the parameters somewhere in the code? Is there anyway that I can see in the documentation what are this parameters and the value i have to introduce to them? And finally, the ADC1 configuration is done the same way as in the ADC4? Thank you,  Marc

I am currently using stm32f407 with FreeRTOS as operating system in MDK IDE. Recently, When I added a new function ( The new function is ospf routing algorithm, and it is very complex and involves many files ) to my project, I began to encounter hard fought exception. I use the call stack window to check the context of the exception and found that the context is uart_send function. Since I redirect the printf function to uart_send and use it to print debug information so uart_send is called most frequently. When I comment the new added ospf function, everything goes fine, no hard fault exception and uart_send goes fine. So, the hard fault exception comes from the new added ospf function. However, I have no idea which part of the ospf function goes wrong and the call stack window gave nothing useful. I have no idea what to do next? Could anyone tell me what to do next? Is there a procedure to debug a hard falt exception? Thanks in advance!

Hi, I am trying to develop ethernet project on stm32f767zi. I am facing the problem when I am trying to pinging from PC to stm32. "Destination host unreachable." How can I fix this? I read similar topic but anything couldn't solve the problem. I shared the configurations and main code with you. I am waiting for the answers. They will really help me I believe. Have a nice day.
