Board: Nucleo-f756ZG and Nucleo-F767ZIWhen i reset quickly board using reset button during execute below code, The board set RDP protection Level 1.Below code contains only rootcause. I know that is not correct usage (missing OB lock, wait for busy flag etc) but i have an application that using FLASH->OPTCR |= FLASH_OPTCR_OPTSTRT and after quick reset few times, the application freezed (like after changed RDP). I checked the board using STM32CubeProgrammer and the board have set RDP level 1 after this case.Larger gaps (above 1 second) between resets do not cause this problem.My code:int main(void){ /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init(); /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config(); BSP_LED_Init(LED_GREEN); BSP_LED_On(LED_GREEN); HAL_FLASH_OB_Unlock(); FLASH->OPTCR |= FLASH_OPTCR_OPTSTRT; while (1) {}}I also created issue on github F7:Spontaneous setting of RDP 1 after reset when saving option bytes

Should be "PRESC" rather than "PREC" I did not check but I guess this will be in other RMs too.JW

I have a EVB NUCLEO-H503RB and tried to implement I3C Target feature. Before testing on I3C system, I would like to test some basic read write with legacy I2C Controller. However, I just found that it seems to be not support with static address on I3C Target feature: Is there any ways to initialization I3C target with a default address to communicate I2C controller? Or is there any other MCU series could communicate I2C controller with I3C target features?

Hi!As far as I looked into the source code, only is i2c4 is used for communication to pmic.Our custom board has an external PLL connected to i2c1. The PLL needs an initial configuraion to provide 48MHz.It would be ideal if I could do this during tf-a bl2 stage.What I have tried:Added i2c1 to the device tree:&i2c1 { pinctrl-names = "default"; pinctrl-0 = <&i2c1_pins_c>; i2c-scl-rising-time-ns = <100>; i2c-scl-falling-time-ns = <7>; clock-frequency = <400000>; status = "okay"; };This is my i2c1 test code: int ret, val; struct dt_node_info i2c_info; struct i2c_handle_s *i2c = &i2c_handle; struct stm32_i2c_init_s i2c_init; uint32_t pll_i2c_addr = 0x6D; uint8_t data[18] = {0};   i2c_info.base = 0x40012000; i2c_info.status = 2; i2c_info.clock = I2C1_K;   i2c->i2c_base_addr = i2c_info.base; i2c->dt_status = i2c_info.status; i2c->clock = i2c_info.clock;   i2c->i2c_state = I2C_STATE_RESET; i

HI folks!,I'm here because of I am a little bit confused about the behaviour of MOVEcommands sent to a pair of L6470 devices connected in daisy chain.The problem that I'm facing happens also if I sent the commands only toone motor.In our project both the stepper motor spin a valve and in this project'sphase we can see the valve mounted on the motor's rotor.The motor step angle is 1.8 degrees (200 full steps per revolution) andwe set the STEP_SEL field of the STEP_MODE register to the value of 7 so that the step mode selected is 1/128 microstep.The Homing procedure goes fine, the homing switch is correctly engagedand after that event if I sent a GETPAR(ABSPOS) I get the zero value forthe ABSPOS register.With a motor with 200 full steps per revolution and a step mode of 128microsteps, to make the rotor perform a full revolution of 360 degreeswe send to the stepper a MOVE(DIR, 25600): we effectively see the rotorrotating for 360 degrees.Then the PROBLEM:After the Homing procedure, we want

I am trying to use the st25r3916b in listen mode to act as an NFCA card.After successful calls to rfalNfcInitialize() and rfalListenStart(RFAL_LM_MASK_NFCA, ...) I am entering into a loop and calling rfalWorker(). In the same loop I call rfalListenGetState to try and see if any data comes back from the reader, which never does.After debugging this some, I can see that inside rfalRunListenModeWorker (called from rfalWorker) always goes through the following state change:RFAL_LM_STATE_POWER_OFF -> RFAL_LM_STATE_IDLE -> RFAL_LM_STATE_POWER_OFFThis seems to be happening because ST25R3916_IRQ_MASK_EOF is set on the st25r3916b's register. This feels strange because ST25R3916_IRQ_MASK_EON is also set, which is required for it to leave the idle state in the first place.I feel like the chip is not configured properly, but I have no idea why.Notes about setup:X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1 dev board connected to NUCEL F401RE dev board.I have successfully tested the setup in polling mode and can read car

Hello Support Team,Have a great dat!!!.I Have B-U585I-IOT02A development kit for our project purpose.we have created the project as per the below configuring - Enable trust zone - Enabled TreadX in non-secure region - Created API Secure side Toggle LED and called through NSC regionAlso, configure chip through cube programmer for secure region bank 1 and bank2but we are facing hard faults when we call the NSC region api.Can you supply a similar example for B-U585I-IOT02A based on the screenshot I took of the same example that is available for different series? Also, provide a step of chip configuration through the cube programmer Thanks Hiren R. Each time I call SET_BIT to set a bit the register value remains at 0. All registers are 0 even after writing, as though they are read-only. For example, the following does not set the bit:DMA2_Stream0->CR |= ((uint32_t)1);What am I missing?Thank you!

I try to measure frequency and duty of a PWM input signal with an STM32G474. For this i have selected the combined channels option "PWM input on CH2" for Timer 15 in CubeMX. The measurement works well, as long as the input signal is not to slow. When the input frequency drops below 1300Hz, i get wrong frequency values. Obviously this is because the 16 Bit timer runs over: I use the 170MHz system clock divided by 2. dividing 85.000.000Hz by 0xFFFF results in about 1296Hz. When i apply a frequency of say 1200Hz, the time between two rising edges used for period detection is more than 0xFFFF timer ticks. So the timer counter wraps around and I get only the 16bit fraction of a number slightly above 0xFFFF, corresponding to a very short period or respectively a very high frequency. Of course the measurement range can be controlled by adjusting the timers prescaler. The problem is, that I need a criterion if the measurement was valid, of if overrun had occurred.In my understanding, the PWM i

Hi,I wanna use an RF Transceiver 433khz with STM32 boards and I am looking for the best choices. My requirements are very simple:Frequecy supported 433MhzMultihoping strategySPI interfaceI found the nRF905 but I am looking for a better solution.Thanks,Ayoub

The problem is about Sprintf with floating point number on STM32L452RET6P.Although all settings are correct, sprintf doesn't work with floating point number only. Although it works on stm32cubeMX, it doesn't work on bare-metal program. It loops endlessly in the Default_Handler function. I'm about to go crazy. First sprintf properly works. But the second one does not. After second sprintf, I've traced back the code on the debugger and I can see that the DefaultHandler executes and traps the board in an Infinite_Loop as a result of WWDG_IRQHandler misfiring. Error message tells me "No source available for "<signal handler called>() at 0xfffffff9" , No source available for "_printf_float() at 0x8001124", No source available for "_svfprintf_r() at 0x8004c8e", No source available for "sprintf() at 0x8001d08" . I can't seem to solve this problem, do you have any idea? Program is below: Here is linker flags. -mcpu=cor

I have difficulties connecting two X-NUCLEO-NFC05A1. I had no problems reading different types of NFC cards but It is impossible for me to detect the other X-NUCLEO-NFC05A1. The board does not indicate that it detects any RF device.Is it possible to establish a p2p connection between two X-NUCLEO-NFC05A1 and exchange data?Regards

I am trying to follow the "STM32WB Getting started Series: Part 12b lab..."(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKYWy7LKL68&list=PLnMKNibPkDnG9JRe2fbOOpVpWY7E4WbJ-&index=16) on youtube. In the video he is using a WB55, but I am trying to implement it on a WB15 (both Nucleo).But, it does not work on the WB15 board. When I try it on the WB55 board, it works fine.I have been combing through the video trying to see if I have a setting somewhere that is different, but nothing jumps out.If I open up the P2P example project from CubeMX, it works just fine, so the BLE stack is working fine on the WB15 board.I am hoping there is just some setting I am missing, because the project will eventually have to run on a costum board with a WB10 :\ RegardsRolf

I recently bought a STM32h747i-DISCO board from DIGIKEY. After uploading a standard demo program from touch GFX the display was working fine for approximately 10 seconds, then it shows distorted or horizontal lines and it gets worse after some time. Every time when I unplug and connect it to my laptop the display works fine for 10 sec and afterwards the same problem occurs. Why is this happening?I have attached the images of the display. Any suggestions?

Hi, I want to use both CAN1 and CAN2 for my application with 500kbps and 125kbps speeds respectively. I have initialized both of them as per my requirements using HAL. Where in Tx is implemented in polling and Rx in interrupts. CAN1 Tx and Rx working perfect. Coming to CAN2 Tx is working and Rx is not working. Interrupt itself is not firing up for CAN2 Rx (HAL_CAN_RxFifo0MsgPendingCallback is not being called). I've read in datasheet that some SRAM sharing process is happening between 2 CANs. I'm unable to comprehend that. Is that an issue?I'm attaching the code also. Please check and help!

I am trying to send messages from Can1 to Can2 in an stm32f205vet6. HAL_CAN_AddTxMessage is returning HAL_OK but I am not able to receive any messages in CAN2. And I cant see any messages transmitted in a scope. clock speed = 120MhzCan speed = 500 kbpsMy code belowCAN1_initvoid MX_CAN1_Init(void){ /* USER CODE BEGIN CAN1_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END CAN1_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE BEGIN CAN1_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END CAN1_Init 1 */ hcan1.Instance = CAN1; hcan1.Init.Prescaler = 15; hcan1.Init.Mode = CAN_MODE_NORMAL; hcan1.Init.SyncJumpWidth = CAN_SJW_1TQ; hcan1.Init.TimeSeg1 = CAN_BS1_1TQ; hcan1.Init.TimeSeg2 = CAN_BS2_2TQ; hcan1.Init.TimeTriggeredMode = DISABLE; hcan1.Init.AutoBusOff = DISABLE; hcan1.Init.AutoWakeUp = DISABLE; hcan1.Init.AutoRetransmission = DISABLE; hcan1.Init.ReceiveFifoLocked = DISABLE; hcan1.Init.TransmitFifoPriority = DISABLE; if (HAL_CAN_Init(&hcan1) != HAL_OK) { &n

Hi,I use ADC3 on STM32H7, I need to know (and set) what is sampling frequency.I use 3 channels in 16 bits. What I tried to calculate?1) Tconv_time = 8.5(setable)+8.5(fixed for 16 bits) = 17 ADC clock cycles = 17/30Mhz = 566 ns2) From this image I should have Fadc_ker_ck = 30 MHz, becase my CKMODE = 0b11, and adc_sclk = 480/2 = 240 MHz (HPRE=2) - so it is sys_clk/2Form above the Tconv should be 17/30Mhz = 567 nsWhat about sampling frequency? My PRESC in ADC3_CCR = 0b1010 (divide by 128)So I should divide some_CLK/128. What is the some_CLK? Is it the Fadc_ker_ck = 30 MHz?? Then it would be 30Mhz/128 = 234,375 kHz = 4,266 usecExperiments:I use BDMA for continual ADC3 measurement, I converts 200 samples for each chanels (3) = 600 samples.I can measure the conversion time for all 3 channels - it takes 34.82 ms. => It is 600samples/34.82 ms => 1sample/58usecSo:measured time for 1 sample is 58 usec = 17,241 kHzcalculated time for 1 sample is 4.266 usec = 234,375 kHzSo what I did wrong?T

So downloaded code from ST website (i.e. https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stm32cubeh7.html - version 1.11.0) then built the CM4 and then the CM7 project for the BSP example.This builds ok, but when I load onto the board the LCD display just displays random pixels. Any ideas ? Thanks.

Hi all,I have the B-G431B-ESC1 board and would like to try the 6-step mode. When I select a 6 step project in MC Workbench and the B-G431B-ESC1, the software shows that there is no current control/no over current protection. The schematic shown has only 1 current shunt and the board has 3 resistors.If I choose another board (e.g. EVSPIN32F0251S1) which has only one shunt resistor, the current control function is active.Does the 6-stage implementation only work with one shunt resistor?Is this a limitation of the GUI, and can the MC API be configured to use 3 resistors in 6-step mode?Or would I have to program the control myself?Kind Regards Thundernail

The USART section states that all 4 USARTs can be clocked from a common set of 4 clock sources, but doesn't reference how to specify the clock for USART4 either.

The STM32F072 Clock tree figure in reference manual shows APB1 prescaler, but where is that defined in the reference manual? When I search for APB1 in the reference manual, in the context of a register field, it does not show up (other than in the clock tree figure). This controls the frequency that goes to the timer peripherals. Additionally, this figure shows "x1" or "x2" by this APB1 label, which is different than all the other values associated with division (they're shown as "/n", where n is the divide by value). Does the "xn" mean you multiply by 1 or 2, or divide by 1 or 2? Does ABP1 prescaler mean bit 0 or bit 1 of the APB prescaler register field? This part of the reference manual (figure 10 in RM0091 Rev 10) doesn't make sense to me. Thanks for any help in clearing this up.
