I used STM32CubeIDE on a Nucleo-L073RZ board to, using LL for everything, configure USART1 to19200 bauds,8N1,oversampling=16x,In IOC file Clock Configuration,"USART1 Source Mux" shows 32MHz, from PCLK2,which is the same as all bus clocks & sysclockThe input comes from HSE, which is, from that I saw, the tapped 8MHz from the on-board debugger MCU, which used to work for me in the past.So there seems nothing wrong with the general clock setup.Yet, on the oscilloscope, I see that the bit width of double the width of 19200, i.e. I am getting 1/2 the expected baudrate.EDIT: I configured PA8 MCO pin to SYSCLK with DIV1, and lo and behold, it shows 16 MHz on the oscilloscope, instead of expected 32. So that explains the baud rate: but everything in Cube is showing me 32 MHz...EDIT #2: Aha! I put now HSE on MCO, and it's 4 MHz! That comes from the STLink on this NUCLEO board. I could swear it used to give 8 MHz, and it has a 8MHz crystal on it.BUT I very recently let CubeIDE update the fir

Hello,I'm currently using the ADC on the NUCLEO-H743ZI2 board to sample a low frequency sine wave signal. The ADC is configured to DMA, circular buffer, continuous sampling mode and oversampling ratio of 4 with 2 bits shift. When I set the ADC sampling rate to 250KHz and the sine wave signal is 100Hz.Here is the sampled signal I got: When I reduced the ADC sampling rate to 125KHz, the sampled data is correct:Does anyone know what's causing this?Do I have to reduce the sampling rate?

Hi mates,Today I came with some interesting observation, I Was working with LSM6DSM sensor interface with Arduino and writing the driver code for same. I was able to achieve 4 - wire communication between Arduino and Gyro using a logic level shifter. But, I am not able to achieve same, for 3 wire. My connections for 3-wire or like this,Also I have Updated the 3-wire config register in the 70h register, I am Enabling SIM_OIS, 500dps [ FS1-0], and OIS, so I am writing 0x25 in 70h. What I am receiving is 0xFFs as the device ID, and -1 , -1 , -1 as x, y and Z value. Also when I short MOSI and MISO with 2.2k resistor, my device ID is detected as 0x80h and getting a -32640, -32640, -32640 as x, y and Z value., So , i am not sure what else i am missing here, so basically my question is , how to connect LSM6DSM in 3-wire mode. If any help provided by any will be helpful. @Federica Bossi Thanks and Regards

Please tell me about "5.2.4 Range accuracy in continuous mode" described in the VL53L5CX data sheet. Is the listed precision (error) value the precision (error) value due to individual differences ?Or does that precision (error) value mean the range of variation for the same individual ?

I have this board (revision C-04) with ST-LINK removed (PCB cut off), so the power 3V3 is supplied from CN7. It works fine, but the red power led (LD3) also works. LD3 is, I think, connected to the 5V net, and 5V to 3V3 regulator should not be working but then why the LD3 is shining red?

Hi folks, first off all I'd say to that I'm really new to MCU and for some silly reason I went for a STM32F7508-DK as my first board of STM3. With that being said, I'm asking for help on why my Led blinking code is not working,/* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * <h2><center>© Copyright (c) 2021 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved.</center></h2> * * This software component is licensed by ST under Ultimate Liberty license * SLA0044, the "License"; You may not use this file except in compliance with * the License. (apologies for posting twice, i posted in another STM community by mistake and someone provided an answer: https://community.st.com/t5/other-software/mcu-gcc-path/m-p/570320)HelloI am trying to save memory by keeping the system headers (paths are shown in the diagram) and drivers in one folder, and modify the paths in the projects to point to that folder.I need to modify many of the paths in the "project/c++/mcu gcc". Is there a way to export/import the paths to a file?Or are the paths already stored in a file so that i can edit that file directly ?thanks

Hello,I need a quick confirmation. Assuming I have correctly provisioned OEM1KEY and OEM2KEY and I don't use OTP memory, I will always be able to revert my STM32U585 chip from RDP level 2 to blank state (RDP level 0, erased Flash, TrustZone disabled) and then be able to program again a brend new firmware. Is that right?

My company just purchased 10x new STLINKS in WINSOURCE.We are having trouble using them with newer versions of STCubeProgrammer(v.2.10.0),they work fine with the old STlinkUtility.I am also unable to upgrade the Fake STlink: The BOX seems legit:  The plastic molding looks alright also, the back sticker is upside down. Once i open the new stlink, i notice the mcu markings are erased.

What are the units of the ISM330DLC reported values? SpecificallyOUTn_G to units of acceleration (g)?OUTn_XL to units of angular velocity (°/s)?I couldn't find this in your docs, may have missed it

Hi to all. I have a problem whit USB dongle STM32WB55.With BLE stack and all BLE examples from STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.16.0 Virtual USB port is working just fine. But when I change to stm32wb5x_Zigbee_FFD_fw and use P-NUCLEO-WB55.USBDongle\Applications\Zigbee\Zigbee_OnOff_Server_Coord Virtual USB port is not working (error code 10). I can turn on and off LED form coordinator (dongle) to router (Nucleo board), and virtual port on Nucleo is working just fine. But virtual port on dongle is not working (erorr code 10).My OS is Win10, I updated Virtual serial port drivers, I changed CDC_DATA_HS_MAX_PACKET_SIZE to 64U but again I have the same problem. Can you please help me.Thanks.

Hello, when will the Functional Safety Manual for the STM32H5 be available?

Hi all,I am using the software generated from MCSDK motor control and a custom board, I am able to successfully make it work for the torque control mode, for different Iq values the DC power supply current is varying. But i am facing problem with speed control mode, i gave the following command in closed loopMC_ProgramSpeedRampMotor1(((int16_t)g_targetspeed_s16 * ((int16_t)SPEED_UNIT)) / (int16_t)U_RPM, 0);Any value i give for g_targetspeed_s16 the motor settles to the same speed for example if i give 10, 50 it goes and settles to the same speed. Why? I am finding some invalid switching. Is it because of that?

Hi STM,I am having NUCLEO-476RG and I am planning project with steppers (by using X-NUCLEO-IHM01A1). Can I connect this expansion with my development board. And also, what is the maximum number of expansion boards I can connect to the development board. I am asking that as my project should use 7 motors?Regards,Aleksandar

In the new designer - just create an empty simulator project,- error indicator : Combination of Simulator & Blank UI failed and designer crashes.Worked on previous versions.

This page was opened using a "permalink" to an individual post, which apparently has its own title, although that is never displayed in the posts view of the thread. The title used in html's head (thus browser's tab/bubble/whatever) and also breadcrumbs comes from that post, confusingly different from the threads title/subject.Just don't do that, don't allow titles/subjects to individual posts, discard them, they are not needed and confusing.JW

Hi,I'm following the LoRaWAN with STM32 Getting Started series on youtube and stuck with Part 6 - Low power modes. I need to change the "DEFAULT_TX_POWER" to TX_POWER_11 to work with the X-NUCLEO-LPM01A Shield.I'm unable to make any changes to the region.h files in STM32Cube-fw-wl-v1.3.0. (Or any of the header files found in Middlewares/Third_Party). Is this normal and I just have to create new head files or am I missing something?Kind regards, Oliver

In Bookmarks, first 5 chapters are repeated: The same was with 'L4 manuals, lazy to look up the thread, I wonder whether those are fixed [EDIT] found it https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcu-products/rm0351-repeating-bookmarks/m-p/120032 [/EDIT]JW

HiI need to modify many of the paths in the "project/c++/mcu gcc path". Is there a way to export/import the paths.Or are the paths in stored in a file so that i can edit that file directly ?I am trying to avoid to modify the paths one by one.The objective is to keep all the system headers and middleware in a folder that all other projects can access to save memory. And I need to modify the paths in the projects to locate those system headers. thanks

We need Android SDK for STSW-ST95HF001. Kernel is 4.9. Android is 10.Any documentation would be great too. Thanks in advance.

I have purchased STM32F411RE & Nucleo-GFX01M2.I attempted to complete one of the examples in “ TouchGFX ” but there is no option for the board. The “ TouchGFX 4.22” does not have the above board. Is there a tutorial on adding the board to the list or is it a “ST Microelectronics” only function

I'm working on my project with L432KC which can support only I2C. I need MCU board which is supporting I3C communication.
